I found this rumour on www.hpana.com/forums and found it very interesting. What do you think about it?

I know that Dudders broke Harry's glasses, but they were repaired, so they have not been destroyed. Since Petunia's part in all of this is still out-there, she may have given them to Harry. He can't see without them. I will tell you that those glasses have something to do with it! I watched the PoA again and I was searching and searching for what JKR said the director put in that he would not have known had a big thing to do with the last 2 books. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks, there is a scene with the Whomping Willow where Harry's glasses get knocked off and the whole scene with Hermione being slung around by the brach was REALLY blurry. He couldn't even recognize her. I have this gut feeling that those stupid glasses are the last Horcrux!! In fact I am offically predicting it is. They are his main weakness he cannot get rid of them and in a sense, he has to protect them. Harry is Gryffindor and that would satisfy also that it comes from the Griffys.

Here is the basic theory:

1)JAMES wore glasses.
2)JAMES was killed by LV.
3)LV picked up the glasses and HORCRUXED them.
4)LV killed Lily.
5)LV tried to kill Harry.
6)LV vaporized and since he no longer had hands or anything much else, he DROPPED everything.
7)Wormtail is there (the betrayer who knows where they are hiding)runs in and takes LV's wand. LEAVES EVERYTHING ELSE
8)Hagrid collects the baby Harry.
9)The Potters possesions are collected, including the glasses of JAMES that are Horcuxed and put in a box.
10)The baby is left with the Dursleys.
11) The Potters meager in-hiding possessions are given to Petunia, INCLUDING JAMES' HORCRUXED GLASSES.
12) Harry is 9 and can't see to make breakfast. Petunia remembers JAMES' GLASSES and gives them to Harry because they are cheap and mean.
12)Skip to the almost 10 year old Harry, living under the stairs, wearing JAMES' GLASSES.
13)The glasses get squished and cracked, but never destroyed. They are repaired magically. No harm done.
14) The big, fat scar which is CURSED hides whatever traces of dark magic that it inches below it.
15) Harry protects these glasses since he can't see without them.

HERE IS THE SUPPORTING THOUGHTS:

1) We know that James wore glasses as seen in the Mirror of Erised.
2)We know that James is killed first in the GoF.
3)We don't know if this is true, but we do know that dumbledore tells Harry that LV collects from his victims and this is important. It is doubtful that he brought an item to Horcrux with him, since all the Griffy stuff is safe and the other houses were already represented. It would stand to reason that the Horcrux was in the house.
4)We know that Lily is killed.
5)We know that Harry was nearly killed.
6)We know that Lv was vaporised and dropped everything, including his wand.
7)Wormtail returns the wand to LV, but would not know about a Horcrux, because LV was secretive about them and also Wormtail was a coward and there is no evidence he was in the house, but was probably outside, since he told LV where to find them.
8)dumbledore tells us that Hagrid retrieves baby Harry.
9)This is supposition. But a good guess that some things survived the destruction since Harry did.
10)We know that Harry is left with the Dursleys.
11)I don't imagine that any of these things would have just been left in the house. This may be one of Petunia's secrets, that she has some of their things.
12)The Dursleys cheapness is well known from the smelly Uncle Vernon's socks as a present and Dudders old clothes given as hand-me-downs. When Harry needed glasses, Petunia giving him an old pair of James' glasses is not a stretch.
13)We know that Harry had glasses when he was in school with Dudders. We are never told they were every replaced, just repaired. Over and over again.
14)We know that Harry's scar is cursed and a direct link to LV. It is not a stretch that it has trace magic on it.
15)If Harry does not protect the glasses his vision is blurry. This is a built in reason for Harry to protect them. It is also a good reason that LV would not worry about them. Since LV's end game is to destroy Harry, then the final Horcrux being on Harry's face would be a great big tehe when he tells him and he has to choose between seeing and destroying the last Horcrux.
