Since I haven't been in many RPG's, these are going to go in the "potential RP character" category. I've taken the liberty of alphabetizing my existing characters and placing each into a specific genre. I've also begun more extensive bio's on each.

Alias: Absorbing Man Real Name: Oswald Proctor Genre: Supervillain Power(s)/Ability(s): absorption of other individuals, taking on aspects of their appearance, additional strength, and in the case of other supers, their powers Affiliation: none Past Aliases: none Status: at large Bio: Oswald led a life full of dejection and heartbreak. He grew up in an orphanage for the first 7 years of his life, believeing that his parents had been killed in an automobile accident shortly after his birth. But he found out that they had simply tired of having a child and had left him on the doorsteps of the orphanage. He began to question the orphanage workers, begging to know why his family had deserted him when he had needed them the most. None knew, and Oswald began to feel the first pangs of vengeance itching at his heart.
As a teenager he was quiet and timid and often the subject of cruel ridicule by his peers. He spent prom night crying in his bedroom, having been unable to find a single girl willing to be his date. But he excelled in academics, got into a good school, and in his early twenties secured a successful job as an orthodontist. It was in this job that he met his future wife, a woman who did nothing but take advantage of his rising wealth. Even before they were married, Oswald knew she could never be faithful to him, and he was right. But instead of doing anything about it, he let her do what she would, clinging to the idea that when they were old, she would calm down and love him. So she filed for divorce instead and took half of his wealth. He never saw her again. he became deeply depressed and his work suffered so much that he was soon fired.
Lacking all motivation to rebuild his life, Oswald stayed at home for months at a time. It was not until his landlord showed up one day to complain about the smell from his neglected apartment. In anger he grabbed Oswald's wrist and it was only then that the mutant power asserted itself. The landlord began to melt into Oswald's skin, until his entire body had become assimilated into Oswald. Instead of being afraid, Oswald suddenly felt invigorated, powerful, stronger than he ever had.
After weeks of scouring alleyways and absorbing homeless, Oswald began to feel ready to exact his revenge on a world that would not accept him. He began a devious rampage of murder and villainy, calling himself the Absorbing Man. When he was confronted by the superhuman team the Defenders, he was able to absorb River AND her ability to control the movement of water. His costume even took on some of the attributes of hers. But it was soon realized, when Megavolt shocked him with a wave of electricity, that the effects could be reversed. River was restored to her normal self. The Absorbing Man was taken into custody and placed into a specialized cell surrounded by a light charge. He as held there until a breakout was conducted by the Crimson Cabal.

Alias: Ace High Real Name: James Peterson Genre: Supervillain Power(s)/Ability(s): able to grow up to 70 ft. tall Affiliation: The Casino of Crime Past Aliases: none Status: at large Bio: James was a basketball player for Caligo City University when he was injured during a game. His head received a sharp blow and he was knocked unconscious for a few hours. He was rushed to the hospital for a CAT scan to determine the extent of the damage to his brain. But during the scan, a power surge caused him to be pelted with high powered energy, deviating his pituitary gland. He immediately began to grow rapidly untiol he had smashed out of the CAT scan, the room, and finally the hospital. When he had finished growing hie was a hulking 70 ft. tall and proportionally as strong as resistent to damage.
And was subdued from his panic, and kept at the hospital for testing. Nothing could explain the bizarre change that had occured in James. Because he was kept in the hospital, he couldn't play basketball, his scholarship was dropped. His future now in tatters, James escaped from the hospital (easily) and disappeared into the underworld of Caligo. He resurfaced as a member of the Casino of Crime, a casino-themed group of super criminals led by Madame Roulette.

Alias: "Acid" Raines Real Name: Frank Raines Genre: Supervillain Power(s)/Ability(s): composed of highly caustic acid, able to burn and melt through touch Affiliation: none Past Aliases: none Status: at large Bio: Frank was a worker in a plant that produced industrial chemicals. One day, a fellow worker was goofing around with him and accidentally knocked Frank into one of the vats full of a quick-bruning acid. Frank should have been killed almost instantly, but instead his body went through a powerful and dangerous change. His body became composed of the acid and turned a dark sickly green while his hair went stark white. Now his very touch can burn through metal. The change drove him partially insane and he turned to crime, taking the nickname "Acid" Raines.

Alias: Acolyte Real Name: Jordan Welch Genre: Demon Hunter Power(s)/Ability(s): wields the Fire of Heaven Affiliation: ChristGard Past Aliases: none Status: active Bio: Acolyte serves a short role in the story of Father Devlin. He was the youngest member of ChristGard at 17. His weapon is a torch that burns with a fire that had been lit the night Jesus was crucified and has not gone out since. Its flames can destroy the darkest of evil. Acolyte is rash and hot-headed, always ready to leap into action at the slightest sign of danger. He is currently reported as being third-in-command of ChristGard, a secret group of demon slayers sponsored by the Vatican.

Alias: Adam Gorgon Real Name: Adam Isher Genre: Superhero Power(s)/Ability(s): able to turn other people to stone with his eyes Affiliation: The Honor Guard Past Aliases: none Status: active Bio: Most of the time, Adam is a teacher at a special school called Powerhouse, where super-powered children can go to learn to cope with their abilities while getting a formal education. He was himself a memebr of the school's first graduating class. As a child, he was unsure of how to deal with his mutant power to turn others to stone. He was found by Mr. E, a powerful sorcerer and founder of Powerhouse, and his parents gratefully allowed him to move into the academy.
Now Adam is an instructor, a stern, strict, no-nonsense teacher of math and power temperance. But he also serves as the leader of the Honor Guards, a super team comprised of the faculty at Powerhouse. He leads the Honor Guard with the same seriousness and by-the-book regiment that he uses to teach.

Alias: Adapter Real Name: Franklin Evans Genre: Superhero Power(s)/Ability(s): able to drain lifeforce and super power Affiliation: none Past Aliases: none Status: active Bio: Franklin was born with his mutant ability. For a long time it was unclear whether he would emerge as a hero or a villain using his ability to drain the lifeforce from humans, making him stronger, and the super power from superhumans, enabling him to temporarily adopt those powers. He finally revealed himself to be on the side of good, and has become famous for helping other heroes with larger-than-life villains. He has refused the many offers given to him to join various super teams, stating that he fears that he may one day be unable to control his power, and does not wish to risk the lives of fellow superheroes. Why he feels this way is so far unclear.

Alias: Adrena Real Name: Veronica Gables Genre: Superhero Power(s): superhuman "fight or flight" abilities, most notably speed, strength, and endurance Affiliation: Dynamos Alpha Red Team Past Aliases: none Status: active Bio: Throughout her childhood, Veronica's parents wondered why she was such an angry, violent child. While she never hurt anyone, she was known to break objects, mostly her toys, when she got mad or excited. They endured it for a few years, but finally they took Veronica in to see a doctor.
What they found out amazed them. The doctor excitedly told them that Veronica had a condition that had never before been documented in medical history. Her adrenal glands seemed to produce 5 times the amount of adrenaline into her system as a normal human, which increased her "fight or flight" instincts and abilities by 5 times as well. This meant that any time Veronica's heart beat at an above normal rate, she gained super strength, speed, and endurance.
Unfortunately for her parents, Veronica was an angrier than normal child. The doctor prescribed her depressants, which seemed to keep her calm most of the time. In high school, she seemed to be able to lead a normal life. However, she befriended a young man by the name of Dave Madison, and the two began dating. When Dave revealed to her that he was a mutant with the ability to control gravity, Veronica tearfully admitted the same. Her parents had told her that she was the only person in the world with superpowers, and that she must always suppress her abilities. Angry and inspired by her boyfriend, Veronica secretly stopped taking her medication, and found that now, at the age of 18, she could control her emotions much better. After graduation, she and Dave ran off and became a crimefighting couple, until 6 years later they were asked to join Alpha Red.

Name: Agonius Genre: Demon Power(s)/Ability(s): expert in the art of pain; demonic power Affiliation: Satan's Minions Past Aliases: none Status: In Hell Bio: It stalks the bloody, sulphurous streets of the city of Dis. Its only mission, its only desire in fact, is the pain of the damned. It moves silently, striking out with its curved, evil blade, punishing the wicked. They call it Agonius, the Great Torturer. It is the most feared of Hell's inhabitants and Satan's chief dealer of pain.
Now there is news of a being who has infiltrated the great capital of Hell. One who would free its writhing prisoners and grant them atonement and peace through his methods. It has thus become the primary goal of Agonius to seek out this intruder and ensure his eternal suffering, impaled on a burning scythe.

Alias: The Alchemist Real Name: Reynolds Lawson Genre: Supervillain Power(s): Can turn any substance into gold with a touch; metal seems to conduct this power, thus touching an object or person with a piece of metal can also turn it to gold. Affiliations: The Network, The Sinister Society Past Aliases: Midas Status: at large Bio: Reynolds didn't come to discover his power until his mid-thirties, in the golden age, married and a father of two young children. It happened late one night after he had spent a little too much time at a bar on his way home from work. He came home late, an act he had done repeatedly within that year. His wife finally said she'd had it with his drinking and being away from home. She started packing, and Reynolds grabbed her. In his heightened emotional state and inebriation, his powers suddenly activated and when he pulled his hand away his wife was a statue of gold. He screamed in terror, trying to take back what he had done, and awakened his children. They came running in and, to comfort them, he kneeled down and hugged them in his arms. He had already forgotten his curse. The Reynolds children were turned into gold as well and Reynolds, in a fit on insanity, ran from his house, never to return.
The grief over his family drove him to psychosis, darkened his mind, and turned him to the world of evil. He became the villain Midas, terrorizing the streets of the city. A dark group known as the Network recruited him and he worked with them on occasion until he was confronted by the hero Mr. Ultimate. After a great battle, Midas was captured and given a serum to suppress his mutant power.
He lay in a coma for 35 years, and, unbeknownst to the staff at the Superhuman Containment Facility, the extended sleep was only charging Midas's power higher and higher. Three years ago, he escaped in an amazing feat in which he turned the entire building into an edifice of gold, including all of the equipment and employees. The act depleted him of his excess power and he is now back to where he was 35 years ago. Now an old man, he has changed his style and name, now going by the Alchemist. He sought revenge on Mr. Ultimate only to find that the hero had died. But he had left his powers to his only son, and to the Alchemist, one is as good as the other. He has joined forces with the Sinister Society in order to find this man and to aid them in world domination.
Those who have never met the Alchemist or don't know his story often wonder why he does not simply turn enough things into gold to make himself rich and livew out the rest of his life in ease and comfort. But the Alchemist cares nothing for monetary gain. He lives for revenge and guilt, the only two emotions he's felt in almost 40 years.

Jack is the model of patriotism, having served for 15 years in the US Army and volunteering himself to become Americorps' head man. Unbeknownst to him, his flair, gusto, and bravado have eventually rubbed some of the other members the wrong way, and spread a few seeds of animosity among the ranks.

Yeah, I used to believe that, too. But what I've seen these last few weeks is enough to make anyone a believer. See, I'm the world's first ghost killer. I work for a company called Brainstorm Enterprises, which develops new technological weaponry and sells it to the highest bidder. My job is Prototype Analyst, which is a fancy way of saying I test out all the new stuff.
This newest thing tops 'em all, though. It's a gun that fires what the brainiac developers call an "ecto-inhibitor." This is some sort of ray that can actually melt spirits right out of the air. I don't know how these guys got their hands on the necessary research material, but lemme tell ya, it works.
Problem is, someone or something doesn't want this thing to get out. We think it's something from beyond the grave, if you catch my drift, something that likes walking around and scaring the bejeezus outta everybody. So I was sent away with the gun and some sort of armor that can keep out a limited amount of "ethereal spectral energy." Don't ask me, I just follow orders. So I've been sort of on my own for a while, trying to find this daddy of all ghosts, or whatever it is and destroy him before he does the same to me. I also keep my eye open for any other ghosts running amok. The dead will not take control of this city. No sir, not on Allen's watch.
