QUOTE (vertigirl @ Nov 12 2009, 06:58 PM)
OOC: Have I mentioned my love for Short Circuit lately?

IC: Tonic rolled his optics as Short Circuit darted around the room, jabbering off in his LOLspeak with Virus clamped firmly to his face.

"Ahahaha! Allyoursecretswillbemiiiine!"

"Oh. You were being serious about that data stealing stuff. Sorry about that," he said calmly, striding up to where SC was freaking. "It's the LOLspeak, hard to tell the difference." He'd grab Short Circuit as the bolted past him, ramming his canon point blank into Virus' torso and firing a shot with the force he was counting on to dislodge the Decepticon from his mentally sub-par comrade.

OOC: Yes, but I'll take all the love I can get! biggrin.gif

IC: Virus was dislodged from the frantically flailing Short Circuit's face in spectacular fashion, flying across the hallway to slam into the wall. Shaking his tiny, pyramidal head to clear the cobwebs, his beady optics flashed insanely. "Gah, I'mgonnatakeyoudown! Heehaheehee gnah!"

With that, the multi-legged Virus's prismoid torso split apart to reveal a weapon on either side. One began spitting small, high-velocity, needle-sharp projectiles at Tonic while the other shot bolts of electricity at Short Circuit's backside.

The cat-like face of Short Circuit emitted a high-pitched yowl as the miniature lightning bolts stung his posterior and he clutched at his rear as he leaped up in pain, being chased around the floor. The steady stream of needles emitted from Virus' quite literal minigun would follow Tonic around if he tried to dodge them. All the while, the creepy little critter would advance towards Short Circuit. It seemed as though he sensed the latent potential hiding within the little buffoon.

OOC: Despite (or because of) the dire situation our heroes find themselves in, I feel this whole scenario with the minicons battling it out is deserving of nothing less than the Benny Hill theme!

QUOTE (DW)
"Primus preserve us," Starline breathed as the Ark fired to life. As soon as Ramraid ordered that he followed, Starline nodded smartly. Sinking into a slight crouch, he skated across the muddy ground, not bothering to go back to where the Decepticon stood with his blade lodged in its knee. He didn't have time to retrieve his weapon.

As he came up alongside Ramraid, he muttered out of the unscarred side of his mouth, "I sent Tonic with Short Circuit - Necron will have to override the Ark's command circuits; without me, the little glitch will be our best bet of getting the firewalls back up." Standing this close to the medic, this would be Ramraid's first option to see the damage to the brilliant Autobot. The scoring on his torso plate looked superficial, though it marred his previously sleek polished finish; the side of his face, however, displayed exposed gears and circuits, and his left optical sensor was a burned out, lifeless scar. Starline, however, held himself with as much poise and confidence as ever, quietly ready to follow orders to whatever end, and coolly capable of performing them.

OOC: I like the use of "big 'bot", Cap.

OOC: Yes, I quite like it too. smile.gif

IC: Ramraid's head snapped around to stare at the Ark, and he shielded his optics from the glare as it's engines flared to life in front of them. The mountainside began to crumble away as hot rivulets of lava began to flow from it, the weathered hulk of the ship wrenching itself slowly free. Necron was succeeding! He had to do something or the entire Earth would be at the mercy of this cold, calculating killer. He could not fail Optimus, humanity or himself.

Glancing down at Starline as he approached, the larger 'bot did not express his concern for his comrade at this juncture, merely regarded him with a nod as he informed his commander of his actions. "Good, we need Tonic to get Short Circuit to the place he will be of most effect. The control room." About to set off, Ramraid was stopped by his old friend Shadowbolt...

QUOTE (Asty)
Shadowbolt, using his arm to steady himself, stood up weakly as the Ark rumbled to life. "Merciful sprockets!" He softly exclaimed to himself, staring up at it. He stepped back, looking to his remaining comrades. This battle had been a terrible one, and even the destruction of his nemesis had brought him no feeling of achievement. He turned to Ramraid. "Old friend, I can't let you face Necron alone."

Sirene looked over to Skspark and met his optics. Despite her damage, her chassis still looked nearly unscathed. She smiled coyly, still having a trick or two up her sleeve. She reached for her arm, laying on her back and looking straight up at the hull of the Ark. When it roared to life, she smiled again. "Its so beautiful, isn't it?" She asked no one in particular.

Ramraid addressed Shadowbolt with absolute certainty. "No, I need you down here, my friend." Leaning closer, he spoke in a low frequency so that the others, mainly the captive Decepticons did not pick it up. "You are the only one capable of dealing with Sirene and getting the humans to safety. You are my best soldier and the only one who can lead this team should I...should I fail to stop Necron."

QUOTE (DW)
Skyspark moved his optics slowly from Speedstreak to Ramraid, to Sirene, who lay defeated on the ground. "You're not going to scrap us," he murmured. Whether this was a question or an observation was unclear...

"Maybe. Maybe not," Speedstreak replied. "I've wasted a lot of Decepticon punks over the megacycles. You're no different. Try anything, anything at all and I'll be damn sure to mail you to Megatron in a parts box. Oh yeah, I know you work for ol' Scrapface, so I've got an optic lock on you."

The look on the Autobot's face would have made Skyspark unsure of whether he was bluffing or not. He did have the look of a practiced soldier, but he seemed too clean-cut to be a killer. Then again, there could have been more to this 'bot than met the eye. (Sorry, couldn't resist! tongue.gif )

Shadowbolt nodded solemnly and responded in the same low frequency.. "I do not think you will fail, Ramraid, but I understand what you mean." He glanced at Sirene. "I'll make sure she doesn't try anything." He gripped his shoulder. "Good luck, old friend, and may Primus be with you."

Shadow looked down at Abby. "Round up the others and get them here."

Sirene watched the Autobots do their planning. Her seemingly delirious laughter would most likely unnerve the Autobots. Feigning weakness, she moved her arm to her empty socket and set the arm in place. Quickly, the arm reattached itself and she looked over to Skyspark and winked. She then folded her arm inside her body to make it look like it was still gone.

OOC: I think I'll wait till more people have posted and then do a big GM post to respond to them all. Just letting you know I am still running this, albeit rather slowly. tongue.gif

Thanks for sticking with it, guys! I'm gonna run this thing till it's finished, one way or the other. tongue.gif

Starline felt a moment of offense when Shadowbolt said he would not let Ramraid face Necron "alone", but quickly swallowed his pride. No time for overcharged ego circuits.

In that case, there wasn't time for debate, either. "Ramraid," he spoke softly, "we need to move. Now."

"Couldn't've said it better myself." The voice spoke from the area of Starline's shin and, looking down, he saw Jack Conroy standing in a relaxed posture, arms folded, gazing up at the two robots. "Well?" he said, tapping his foot impatiently. "World's not gonna save itself..."

Abby nodded to Shadowbolt, glad to be able to do anything, even if it was just playing messenger. She rested a hand on his cold plating once again. "I'm serious dude," she said, looking up at him. "Be careful." With that, she'd climbing quickly down the ruins, heading back into the jungle to where she though Dex and Jack still were. This would be a few minutes before Jack appeared on his own.

"Secret agent man?" Abby called out into the dark jungle. "Dex? Come on dudes, there's real fate of the world stuff about to go down." You'd think she'd be able to find a giant metal snake corpse easily enough. Something like that is kinda hard to miss after all. She dug her hands into her pockets, searching for her iPod in order to use it as a light, but then remembered her iPod was currently leading a laptop two chips short of a motherboard on some sort of covert mission. Despite all the doomsday that was going on, she couldn't help but take a moment to appreciate how fun it was to think that sentence. Abby staggered back suddenly, bracing herself against a tree as the ground shook again. Maybe they were already with the others, she thought, glancing back over her shoulder at what she could see of the ruins through the trees. If she didn't find something soon, she was going to go with that assumption and head back. Being alone in the dark creepy jungle with evil giant robots about was kinda creeping her out.

OOC: puny hooman fail post is totally 100% editable, just in cases

----

Inside the ship, the iPod Abby was regretting not having was a little busy with it's own problems. Namely the jabbering little Decepticon rapid firing needles at him. But also the fact that Short Circuit had somehow managed to become more crucial to the salvation of the human race than he was. Tonic was having a big problem with this.

Ducking down to avoid the first hail of needles and then keeping himself moving in a similar dodging/running fashion (thanking Primus he had watched, studied, and played so much Tekken 5). Making a mental not to see if he could get himself outfitted with at least some sort of automatic weapon when this was all over, he slow down in his dodging momentarily to take a shot at the half of the Decepticon that was assaulting his partner. If it left Tonic open for a shot from Virus, he wasn't really noticing. He was only focused on one things at this point. If the retarded little 'bot was actually gonna be the one who ends up saving this dirty little planet, Tonic was going to make damn sure he was gonna be the one to save the retarded little 'bot. He had to make it out of this mission with something to brag about.

OOC: puny autobot fail post is...well not editable so much as I just fail at describing action >.<

"And you," Ramraid nodded, before turning to face Starline.

Before Ramraid could respond to Starline, a voice drifted up from below their plane of vision. Ramraid's head panned down to study the suited human at their feet. "Agent Conroy. Are you sure you want to do this? We may not make it out," he warned the human. Looking anxiously to the ship as it rumbled its way out of the mountainside, he became aware of the increasing need to take action.

QUOTE (Verti)

But Abby wasn't alone.

From above her, in amongst the soaked foliage that swayed in the heavy winds a pair of red optics scanned her every move. Gibbering electrical noises intermixed with the sputtering of a petrol motor as Grassinator crept along the branches.

Suddenly a louder burst of cackling engine noise rose above the wind and the rumbling of the mountain and Abby could have sworn she heard something in the trees.

Virus's optics grew wide as the burst of sonic energy slammed into his left side and he let out a strangled, "GahwhattheHellOof!" And spun around, strafing the entire corridor with needles. Tonic had succeeded in getting him to stop zapping Short Circuit, but now all of the USB 'bot's attention was focused on him. "Ooohyoulittle!" He fumed as he scuttled after Tonic, now firing arcs of electricity and bursts of needles in his direction, the cat 'bot totally forgotten.

As soon as he stopped getting zapped, Short Circuit promptly rubbed his little metallic rump and wheeled on Virus. "U iz not hurt mah frend!" He yelled as he extended one of his ungainly arms in the Decepticon's direction, bringing his DVD-ROM drive to bear. Virus rotated his head around, mildly amused and mocked, "Gnyahahaha!Sowatchagonnadoaboutitrunt?"

Short Circuit's lopsided optics narrowed and he growled, "Dis..." Immediately a hail of shiny discs erupted from the tray of the disc reader in Virus' direction. "Ohshi-" was all the evil little parasite managed to exclaim before it's head was separated from it's spindly body which was abruptly pinned to the wall by the rest of the discs.

Turning to Tonic, his expression returned to that same familiar blissfully stupid look, "O hai. U canz thank me laterz."
