Kind of. Where we used to live in the county, someone could sneeze and we'd lose power. Sometimes for a day or more. When hurricane Isabel came through, we didn't have power for 14 days(power bill was the same amount as usual, though). So, we always have a lot of water stored in the basement. The pantry is always full of canned foods,we could easily go without shopping for a long time. The BOBs are geberally kept in our vehicles, kind of Get Me Home Bag. If anything bad happens, I plan on sheltering in place.
