Meet the Governor

Thorn tagged along behind Mason as he led her through the city and into the Sons of Chaos compound. They passed so many pirates, thieves, and assassins that Thorn's heart danced with pleasure at the thought of such company, the thought of so many new opportunities. Once she secured her reward from the governor, that deliciously large sum, Thorn could go anywhere she pleased and find a new temporary business partner. After all, she knew Mason would have no more use for her services.

In fact, Thorn tired of her mysterious companion. Secrets were one thing - Thomas Mason was something else entirely. If she had the slightest clue where she was going, she might have run ahead to the governor herself. Thorn hated feeling like a sidekick. But such things were impossible, and in the end it wouldn't be much longer. Wondering what the governor of such a wonderful island might be like, Thorn kept pace with Mason and continued to take in the sights around her.

(Mason, I'm hoping this gives you more incentive to post. :D)

[Thomas Mason]

Thomas and his compainion made their way through the vast tunnels and corridors inside the large stone walls of the compound.
He stopped at the base of a tall dark door, stopping only breifly at a peculiar lock.
He slipped a large ring off his finger and pressed it against the lock, jerking and pulling it until it finally turned over clockwise.
Then a large thud could be heard on the other side of the door, and Tom collected his ring and pushed through the enormous doors into a significantly more elegant looking room.

Thorn's shock and surprise showed when her eyes widened in disbelief. Even the doorways here were shrouded in secrecy. She followed Mason into a beautiful room, obviously the governor's personal quarters, and eagerly awaited the meeting. Mason stopped in the center of the room, causing her eyes to dart about the shadows in search of his leader.

(Since Alethea hasn't responded to my PMs, we're going to have to fast forward this without her. The pirates are informed slightly of the british plans and begin to assemble a raiding party. Thomas Mason slips away to his mansion in the jungle and Laili can do whatever she wishes. Each get 5000 Pounds. Both out.)
