Francesco Fonti was then for a short time imprisoned and when he came free he met Candalieri again. In november 1992 Fonti met Candalieri in his office of Enea in Rotondella who told him they had dumpped thousands of barrels with toxic and radio active waste. Candalieri said he had also stashed barrels containing uranium, cesium and strontium in 20 sea containers which were 25 metres long. 6 sea containers owned by the firm Merzario Marittima which were controlled by the somalian authorities in the harbor of Mogadiscio. Francesco Fonti then contacted at the end of 1992 then Mirko Martini who was recommended to him by the boss Sebastiano Romeo’s brother Giuseppe Romeo. Mirko Martini owned businesses in Piacenza and in Mogadiscio where he worked with Moar Mugne (owner of the firm Shifco that owns the ships that the italian government sent to Somalia) . During a meeting in Milan’s Hilton Hotel Francesco fonti and Mirko Martini (who transports lots of goods to Somalia and had good connections in Mogadiscio’s harbor). Mirko Martini is also a good friend of Somalia’s interim president Ali Mahdi. Mirko Martini also delivered weapons to somalia interim president Ali mahdiand wanted to get the 2 Somalia ships named Mohamuud Harbi and Osman Raghe (which are owned by the firm Shifco which is led by the Al Mahdi Group Company. The weapons are : 75 cases with kalashnikovs , 25 cases with munition and 30 cases with uzis which were send from the ukrain by the firm Ukrespets Export on board of the ship Jadran Express which works under the Maltese flag and had been bought by the lawyer Pasquale Ciola from Ostuni and his friend Pasquale Locatelli (who owns businesses at Gibraltar, Cyprus and in Croatia which is named Rio Plata Limited and Business investiment company) at the request of Francesco Fonti.
The Jadran Express brought the weapons to Triest where they were loaded in 2 trucks and were transported to the harbor of La Spezia where the weapons were loaded in the ship Mohamuud Harbi. In the meanwhile Mirko Martini send 375 million lires to the firm Ukrespets Export via the Kreditna Banka of triest. In the meanwhile Francesco Fonti is busy organizing the dumping of toxic and radio active waste. The firm Merzarrio marittima also delivered in a sea container 20 trucks and also connected to the smuggle line is Candelieri. The trucks were loaded in the ship Osman Raghe. The ships Mohammuud Harbi and osman Raghe left Italy and arrived in the first days of february 1993 in Mogadiscio’s harbor.
They were helped by Giancarlo Marocchino (a friend of Mirko Martini) who is powerfull in Somalia. The weapons were send to general Ali Mahdi while the waste was dumped at 4 places : a place 150 kms from the road between Berbera and Sillil (area Bosaso), a place called Webi Jubba (near border with Kenia ??) a place near the road between Dhurbo and Ceel Gaal (near Bosaso) and a place near the road Garoe Bosaso. Their contact Abdoullahi Yussuf got 1 billion 200 million lires from Candelieri in Swiss via the Credit Suisse in lugano and present is Francesco Fonti. Fonti got from Candelieri 8 billion 800 million lires which he send to the Hellenic Bank in Sarajevo.
Francesco Fonti paid 350 million lires to Mirko Martini, he paid 200 million for the ship transport, Giacarlo Marocchino got 400 million from Marino Ganzerla.
