I noticed that there really isn't a thread here for wrestling, so I thought I'd start one. Post your opinions on fav wrestlers, what you liked or didn't like about the matches or any news you hear of that others may find interesting.

Watching ECW last night, I was surprised that Armando Alejandro Estrada was made GM. Main reason I was surprised was that I almost forgot about him since he was out on injury. Not meaning to say that if a wrestler is injured, I forget about them. I'm still waiting for The Undertaker to come back( a co-worker had opined that The Undertake had retired, but I haven't heard anything about that), and wish I could see SummerSlam for the return of Triple H and Rey Mysterio.

And on a sad note, Crush from Demolition has past away. I haven't heard from what, but I'll try to find out. And if someone hears, go ahead and post.

He was my favorite wrestler for a while, up until Dale Torborg took over the gimmick.

ECW just sucks now...actually it wasn't that great when WWE took over it...their big names have moved on and they got some of the suckier wrestlers...

Actually it looks like RAW is THE brand to watch they have all the main eventers...Smackdown its basically Batista's shown until Undertaker comes back but even then there aren't enough main eventers on that brand...

RAW has Cena, Kennedy, Lashley, Triple H, Orton, Booker, the better divas, Carlito, Umaga

Smackdown has Batista, Khali, Kane, Matt Hardey and MVP as their biggest names and frankly I could care less about the Cruiserwieght Championship (its basically 4 guys)...

EWC...ever since RVD went down lost interest now that Lashley moved on...not really impressed with John Morrison and CM Punk's fued...

Whenever I do remember I try catching TNA but I always catch the low end guys rarely see Sting...

Sometimes at wierd hours I find somekind of hardcore wrestling on MTV3 but they are mostly no names or wash ups like Vampiro...I think Justin Credible was on once...

But interest in RAW will fade once Heroes starts up and MNF...

I stopped watching TNA a long time ago. I would try to watch to see if it got any better, but nope... It's just not worth it.

I like WWE, but with Orton and Mark Henry trying to put every wrestler out of commission(what's with that?), it seems like the same wrestlers wrestle each other over and over again. I know that they(meaning the Powers That Be) think that it makes for good ratings(or whatever), but how come security doesn't at least make of show of trying to stop them from killing they're opponents. And I don't really want to see the same match-ups for 5 - 6 weeks in a row. I know they need feuds for upcoming PPVs, but it me, it gets old real fast. Mix it up, guys! Please!

Well, with Triple H, Mysterio and possibly The Undertaker coming back, it should be a little more lively.

i agree with you about raw i stoped watching smackdown a long time ago. i actly did started watching it again when edge was tarded there but then he got hurt so i stop.

i try to watch ecw now and then but i just keep forgeting to watch it. i complitly for got about straday night main event yesterday i only cought the end with matt hardy.

Since this Sunday is SummerSlam, that's when they'll most likely announce who McMahon's "illegitimate" son is. So, who do you think it'll be? I still can't decide who I think it'll be, but I think it may be someone he really doesn't like. For obvious reasons, I don't think it'll be Triple H.

I stopped watching wrestling near the time Dragonball GT was airing on Toonami (I was a big fanboy back then.) 2004? Every know and then I saw the show. The last time I was truely entertained by wrestling was when shawn micheals and Edge fought (It was edge last night on raw or something.) I felt they ruined it by doing the oh so predictable randy orton back attack thing. It's a shame. Wrestling used to be good, but as far as I'm concerned Vince ruined it.

I have been completely disappointed with RAW for a long time now. I used to LOVE SmackDown! when MNM was there and Batista was still a Tag Team wrestler. I hated Rey fighting the Heavyweights and all of the "Eddie" chants when he wrestled.

Now I am getting sick of Khali and Mark Henry crapping on SmackDown! I don't really like Batista unless he is in Tag Matches.

I love Edge and The UnderTaker almost equally and I loved MVP until the Matt Feud because he isn't wrestling anymore. I also love Mr. Kennedy and Carlito and Jeff and Triple H on RAW. Also Umaga and some others. I just wish they would either spread the high profile wrestlers better, or just make the shows have all of the wrestlers in all shows.

ECW out of any WWE show is the best to me right now. They have Elijah Burke, CM Punk, John Morrison, Stevie Richards, and some others. They put on a much better show to me than both RAW and SmackDown! combined. The only good match on RAW this past monday was the Kennedy/Carlito match. The rest of the show was CRAP! All talk and crappy short matches.

TNA: I just don't watch it anymore. I have been too badly disappointed too many times by them to even care anymore. I am never going to watch it again.

For me, ECW is better off without Sandman and Raven(Hate him) and a lot of others in favor of real talent like those I mentioned.

For Vince's son; I am starting to srsly think it's either Mr. Kennedy, because Vincent Kennedy McMahon, Jr. is his full name and Kennedy can just take his middle name and use it twice. The other person I think it might be is Triple H, just for an incest storyline he has been trying to put together.

Same here ; It made me feel like he was only getting pushed because of Eddie's death .

I actualy like Henry , I only wish they'd use him better or move him to another show (i'd love to see Umaga vs Henry) I do agree that Khali is crapping on SD . He's definatly the worse wrestlers i've ever seen . He can't wrestle , he can't see , he can't get a decent pop , He's worthless . As for Batista , he's the typical muscle guy which WWE is now famous for ; All hype and little delivery . He's weak in long matches and 9 times out of 10 gets carried by a better wrestler in most of his matches , Batista - Kennedy stands out in my mind .

Side note, anyone wondering how Ashley's doing "suspension", Survivor:China starts on Sept. 20. I don't think she'll make it to the last 10.

WWE would be a lot better if they had THE SHOCKMASTER!!!

Did you get it on ppv? I wanted to see that, but no money. Also I wanted to see Cena/Orton except Orton winning and becoming a good guy while Cena becomes a Heel with Orton being the Cena Haters' Saviour.

Yeah I got it on PPV ( I get most of the major WWE events on PPV) .I realy didn't know I was going to get it or I would have set up a play by play .

I wanted Cena to lose too , i've never liked him and the constant push is absolutly sickening . Khali Batista was the worse match of the night as expected . I wish they'd release Khali , he's the worse wrestler on the freaking roster

- The WWE promo hits.

- A video package airs highlighting tonight's scheduled World Title matches and the return of Triple H to WWE tonight.

- A graphic opening then welcomes us to SummerSlam. We go live to the Continental Airlines Arena where a series of pyro goes off.

- Kane defeated Finlay. Kane had his ribs taped up for the match tonight. Early on, Finlay worked on the left leg of Kane and continued to go after it during the rest of the match. Kane attempted a chokeslam, but Finlay broke it up. They did a spot with Hornswoggle where Finlay pulled him out from under the ring, but Kane chased him away. Hornswoggle tried to go back under the ring, but Kane pulled him back out. Finlay took the advantage of the distraction and connected with a quick DDT on Kane. Hornswoggle brought a shillelagh out from under the ring and Finlay hit Kane in the ribs with it. The finish then saw Kane catch Finlay with a big chokeslam for the pinfall.

- Backstage, all three General Managers from Raw, ECW and Smackdown and with Jonathan Coachman when Vince McMahon appears. Vince begins talking to Armando Estrada when Santino Marella comes in. They kick Marella out. MVP then shows up and said he didn't know if he was Vince's son or not, but wanted to issue a challenge to Matt Hardy tonight - however, not a wrestling match. William Regal said there was no way MVP could be Vince's son and tried to make it seem like he could be.

- A promo for Rey Mysterio's return tonight airs.

- Umaga retained the WWE Intercontinental Championship over Mr. Kennedy & Carlito in a Triple Threat Match. Fairly short IC Title match with these three. The match kicked off with Umaga sending Kennedy and Carlito to the outside right away. Umaga fought off Kennedy and Carlito when they teamed up briefly to take him out. Carlito caught Umaga with a dropkick sending him to the outside. Kennedy followed that up kicking Umaga's shoulder into the steel steps. Umaga tripped up Kennedy in the ring and then went after Carlito. Kennedy and Carlito then started teaming up again, but Umaga countered and hit both with a big double suplex. Umaga took out Carlito with a running corner splash to the head. Umaga charged at Kennedy, but Kennedy pulled the top rope down and Umaga crashed on the floor. The finish saw Kennedy cover Carlito, but Umaga returned to the ring and hit Kennedy with the Samoan Spike to get the pinfall.

- A promo aired hyping The Undertaker's return to WWE at Unforgiven in just three weeks.

- A video package aired highlighting tonight's match between the returning Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero.

- Rey Mysterio defeated Chavo Guerrero. Rey Mysterio came out with silver paint on his body. Fans in New Jersey were really behind Mysterio and against Chavo. One spot saw Chavo send Mysterio knee first into the ring post. Chavo then started working on Mysterio's left knee. JBL stressed on the mic that Mysterio is working on a rehabbed knee and that he has to be careful. Chavo got Mysterio in the tree of woe in the corner and worked on his knee. Mysterio with a big moonsault on Chavo to make a comeback. Chavo stayed on Mysterio's knee and locked on a leg submission. Mysterio eventually got the ropes to break it up. Mysterio came back with a big swinging DDT on Chavo. During the pinfall attempt, Chavo broke it up by putting his leg on the bottom rope. Chavo with a quick gory bomb, but Mysterio kicked out. Mysterio goes for the 619 on Chavo, but Chavo moved. Chavo attempted the Three Amigos, but Mysterio countered into a 619 followed by the West Coast Pop to get the pinfall.

- A promo airs noting that Monday Night Raw will be airing tomorrow night on Sci Fi and not on the USA Network.

- Backstage, Todd Grisham was with King Booker. Booker noted that while Rey Mysterio may have been successful in his first match back, Triple H wouldn't be so successful against him tonight.

- Beth Phoenix won the WWE Divas Battle Royal. Another shorter match tonight on the PPV. WWE Women's Champion Candice Michelle was watching the match at ringside. Brooke (ECW) was eliminated first. Maria (Raw) was eliminated second. Layla (ECW) was eliminated third. Victoria (Smackdown) was eliminated fourth. Kristal (Smackdown) was eliminated fifth. Kelly Kelly (ECW) was eliminated sixth. Jillian Hall (Raw) was eliminated seventh. Mickie James (Raw) was out eighth. Melina (Raw) was out ninth. Mickie's complete bare ass was out as she was eliminated. My god was that fu**king hot and we've got 8 ass-crack pics below. They showed a shot of Candice smiling when Melina was eliminated. Torrie Wilson (Smackdown) was out tenth. This brought it down Beth Phoenix and Michelle McCool. Phoenix then eliminated McCool to win the Battle Royal and earn a shot at the WWE Women's Title.

- As Phoenix celebrated her win, MVP interrupted on the mic saying that while the Divas were sexy, nobody paid to see them and that everyone paid to see MVP. MVP brought up how now that he is the highest paid entertainer in Smackdown history, he now drinks refined beverages. However, to relate to the fans tonight, he will lower himself and have a beer drinking contest with Matt Hardy. Matt Hardy came out and both got a beer. Hardy told MVP he was proud to be a common man and relate to the fans this way. He then brought up the boxing contest at Saturday Night's Main Event and how MVP brought in a substitute in Evander Holyfield, so he should be allowed to bring in one too. The fans knew who was coming out next. Glass shatters and out comes Stone Cold Steve Austin. Huge reaction for Austin. Austin ran the ropes and did some jumping jacks warming up for his beer drinking. Austin shared a beer with Hardy, opened the cooler MVP brought out and got some more beers. Austin then gave MVP the Stunner. Austin celebrated with the fans drinking beer.

- WrestleMania 24 promo airs.

- Backstage, Vince McMahon is talking to Jonathan Coachman, Teddy Long and William Regal. Cryme Tyme comes in and they do the "money, money, yeah, yeah" line. Coachman, Regal and Long all joined Cryme Tyme in saying it. Ron Simmons showed up and got in his "Damn" line for the night.

- John Morrison defeated CM Punk to retain the ECW Championship. Very short match with a World Title on the line. Tons of pinfall attempts between Morrison and Punk early on. Lots of back and forth high spots between the two as well. The finish saw Punk attempt a huricanranna on Morrison from the top rope, but Morrison held on and Punk crashed to the ring. Morrison dropped down and pinned Punk using his foot on the ropes to get the win to retain the ECW World Title. Solid action in the ring, but seemed pretty rushed.

- Another promo for Monday Night Raw moving to Sci Fi tomorrow night.

- Backstage, The Great Khali and Batista were shown warming up.

- Triple H defeated King Booker. Tons of anticipation for Triple H's entrance after King Booker came out. They played the heart monitor/"we can rebuild him again" promo about Triple H's return. Big pyro display during Triple H's entrance. He got a huge reaction from the New Jersey crowd. Triple H looked in great shape. He continued to get a huge reaction from the crowd as he was in the ring. When the match kicked off, Triple H took out Booker with a big clothesline sending Booker over the top rope. Triple H and Booker continued brawling outside the ring. Quick facebuster by Triple H on Booker followed by a Figure Four. Sharmell got involved and raked the eyes of Triple H to break it up. On the outside, Triple H sends Booker shoulder first into the steel steps. Back in the ring, Triple H connected with a big spinebuster on Booker. Triple H covers, but Booker kicks out. Booker with a Book End on Triple H, covers, but Triple H kicks out. The finish then saw Triple H hit the Pedigree to get the win. Fans continued to give Triple H a huge reaction.

- Another promo for Unforgiven hyping the return of The Undertaker.

- A video package airs highlighting tonight's World Heavyweight Title Match between The Great Khali and Batista.

- Batista defeated The Great Khali via DQ; Khali retains the World Heavyweight Title. The Great Khali had a bandage over his forehead. They are going to have to do a lot to make this watchable. As expected, the fans in New Jersey were not into this match at all. Batista hit Khali with a spinebuster and attempted a Batista Bomb, but Khali blocked that attempt. Khali connected with his two hand slam on Batista. Khali's translator threw a steel chair in the ring in front of the referee. Khali picked up the chair and hit Batista with it to cause the DQ finish. The fans in the arena booed loudly at the finish. Batista is announced as the winner via DQ, but Khali retains the title. After the match, Batista took out Khali with a big Spear. Batista then grabbed the steel chair and hit Khali with it with a frustrated look on his face.

- A promo for "The Condemned" DVD aired.

- Backstage, Vince McMahon is with Jonathan Coachman when William Regal comes in to inform them that a lady is here to see him. Mae Young and Moolah then show up. Mae jumped on Vince and started kissing him as Regal pulled her off. Vince gets up and composes himself, saying you wouldn't believe the taste in her mouth. Coachman offers Vince a tic-tac, but Vince said he kinda liked it and said she turned him on.

- A video package airs highlighting tonight's WWE Title Match between John Cena and Randy Orton.

WWE Title Match: John Cena defeated Randy Orton. Mike Chiota is the referee. Fans chant a "Cena sucks" as the match begins. Cena gets booed when he applied a side head lock on Orton. Fans are buzzing for this one, the crowd is not reall pro-Orton, but more anti-Cena. Early STFU attempt, but Orton made it to the ropes. Orton knocked Cena off the ring apron onto the Raw announce table. Orton brought Cena back into the ring to avoid the count out. With Cena on the mat, Orton laid the boots to the champ. Orton applied a head lock on Cena. Fans started a "lets go Cena, lets go Orton" chant. Fans are loud for this one. Five knuckle shuffle by Cena. Orton hits a DDT, but only gets a two count. Orton waited on the mat for Cena to get up for a RKO, but was unsuccessful. On the outside, Orton rammed Cena into the ring steps. Orton rolled Cena in to the ring, but Cena kicked out. Orton tried to superplex Cena, but Cena countered out. Leg drop by Cena. Orton blocked the FU. Orton missed a boot attempt, and Cena applied the STFU. Orton made it to the ropes. RKO by Orton, but Cena kicked out. Cena hits a FU on Orton at 21:18 to retain the WWE title.


Also , unrelated to the PPV . Nick Hogan was in a car accident and is listed in serious condition .

Damn, I wish I could have seen that. I freakin' love Umaga during his matches against more than one opponent. Tag Team or otherwise. Cena/Orton sounds like it would have been cool to see with the fans. I also love when the fans are loud.

Tonight's RAW was actually pretty good. The humor to me was good and some of the matches were pretty cool. I can't remember everything though.

I can't wait for The Undertaker to come back. He is my favorite all time wrestler and the person I respect the most out of anyone in the world.

And again no Tag Team Championship matches...

I want to see WWE unify the title again and then every other PPV the #1 contender alternate between Smackdown and RAW...

They should get rid of the Cruiserwieght championship...

I have been wanting to see them unify the Tag Champs too. I hate that they have 2 titles and both have little to no competition.

I am completely psyched by this week's Tag Team Match for SmackDown! though. It's going to be one of my favorite wrestlers today: MVP, teaming with Matt Hardy. One of my sister's all time favorites. I hope they win and end their stupid feud. That feud is one of the worst this year, with any Khali feuds at the top.

The Cruisers need to be in all 3 shows. We can't have just 3 people fighting for it. That makes it shit. It was good in WCW, but WWE is too spread out for anything like that.

Also having a WWE Championship, and a World Heavyweight Championship makes the WWE have NOBODY at the top.

Ha. I suppose I agree. Except for when they are all negative. I just find a lot of the fans way to fickle. (Of course, the idea is to make them change there opionon on a wrestler and what not... but bleh. It's so annoying.)

Hmm... You all talk of khali like he is horrible. I haven't raelly seen much of him, but I remember that he never seemed to speak english. Does it seem like the only reason he is anywhere right now is because he taller then the big show? (He is, right?)

The loudness of the fans does make a huge difference. Once, while watching ECW, I noticed that the fans weren't making that much noise at all. No cheers, no boos, nothing. It made watching the matches boring in my opinion. When the fans are loud, you get caught up in it. I can't imagine what it would be like to be at any one of the shows, in the midst of the crowd.

And speaking of ECW, the only match I liked was Thorne/Richards. And that really wasn't that good. I think ECW needs more wrestlers added to their roster.

Is it me, or does anyone else find "King" Booker and his pinkie pose gay? And I wish he wasn't king anymore.

Yeah, You have a point, sort of... It's good when they are loud, but I remember watching a Louisville basketball game, and they were winning against the home team by A LOT. (Pittsburgh I think.) The audience would not shut up and they kept booing. It was SO F**KING ANNOYING! Jack***es. I can understand it if you don't like a team, but do they have to ruin the game for me and any other Louisville fan watching the game? I think at some point in the game someone got really mad about that too and made them stopped. Or at least, they seemed to have stopped randomly. Thank God for it. (It was sort of funny that Louisville won though considering they were probably ranked like... 19 or something, if they had a rank, and Pittsburgh was 5.)

I mean, its good when you get into it, but I just hate it when they boo. It's just so damn annoying. Eh. It's different in wrestling I suppose in that they try to make you hate one person and like another where in something like basketball they don't really tell you who to like. (Or at least It doesn't seem that way for me.

Ugh... I think I'd hate to be in the crowd for... well any thing like that. I'm not really the kind of person to yell like that. That and I'd hate to be around a bunch of screaming people. I f**king Hate prep alleys. I think I almost cried last year because I hated it so much. My brother said his teacher was going to give him a DM (Like Detention... sort of.) If he didn't cheer. I just find that unbelievably hilarious.

King booker LOL... Every know and then I see my dad watching wrestling and get to see some of that. That has to be one of the worst gimmicks ever. Almost as bad as that teacher one I heard about.

Eh. As for ECW... Well it's just crap now. (I don't like WWE in general that much anymore really, but the new ECW seems to be the worse of the 3.) The old ECW was awesome.

No the TT match I wanted to see so bad was The Hardies and Kendrick/London when they had the titles...that would be a high flying, high excitement match...

You know I really didn't like MVP when he first showed up but now he is one of the reasons I would watch Smackdown...

What ECW needs are good established wrestlers...Benoit was a start...and maybe a couple of high profile stars but with the show being only 1 hour...

Cruiserwieght is so stupid right now...to me it always seem to be Jimmy Wang V somebody...now they have a midget a Cruiserwieght champ...WTF!!!???!!!

Lol are you serious? Well I guess it's cruiserweight for a reason...

I liked cruiserweight back when I was into it. Maybe it's because the cruiserweights were a lot faster and what not then all the big guys like Undertaker and Big show.

...favorite wrestlers anyone? Mine were probably Kane and the Undertaker. I always loved watching them as a team. I used to like Beniot too...

My favorite wrestler used to be Bret "The Hitman" Hart, back in WWF. Now that he is gone, it's The UnderTaker. Now I like Taker as a wrestler over anyone. Including Kurt Angle.

Second to the top are people like Triple H, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, and a lot of others.

My favs are The Undertaker, Triple H, and The Hardy's(both as tag team and separate). There are others I like, but those are my favs.
