Not to sound harsh or anything...

If he chose to kill himself (which he has threatened this many times in the past and never went through with it), then he was a weak human being unable of coping with problems that occur daily. He hasn't been through HALF of the shit I have and he's COMPLAINING? I'm sorry, that doesn't warrant sympathy from me.

Oda, I've heard you complain a plenty. Life sucks, period. If you don't complain about it, it'll eat you from the inside out. Nobody willingly chooses their life. Sure, they make choices, but there are some things you just can't avoid. If he did go through with it, then that was his decision. His life, his death. If only we all could be so lucky as to choose how we die. I'm going to let it be a surprise for me, because I'm not done yet.

Before, I would have agreed with you about him being weak. Nobody quits a game in the middle unless they're weak. However, if the other team was cheating, I'd report those mother fuckers. I still wouldn't leave. Now let's say the game was a shitty game, like Rock Band. Let's also say you lost every time you played, and you hated the game. Would you still play it? No. You'd play games you enjoy. Maybe Dragon was stuck in Barbie Princess Playhouse and couldn't escape. In such a case, it would have been torture to live any longer.

He was young though, plenty of years for him to escape his prison. Many years for him to learn how to endure and thus prosper.

Although lows and bad times can be deadly to a human's psyche. They can make a good man murder, and a rich man poor. They can make the weak strong, and the strong weak. Don't ask me how it works, but depression's a bitch.

There are a lot of mentally ill people in the world who are suffering with complex emotional pain and very distorted views of the world. Even physical pain. If I don't take my medication, I get pressure on my brain, which makes me angry and unable to focus. All sorts of variables exist with mental illness, and it's hard to nail down exactly what will take someone to that time and place. All we can truly know is some degree of tragedy.

If you look past the fact that Oda's being a total dick, he's got a good philosophy.

Pity gets you no where, and only exacerbates the situation. If you feel sorry for someone, you can't really be of any help to them. Pity only sends the message that yes, there is something seriously wrong and people can interpret that as "Maybe taking my life is a good idea."

Oh, I agree with not feeling sorry for people who look to suicide. But always seeing "I've got it so much harder than [insert anyone here]" gets annoying.

He means in the case that Dragon lied about taking his own life.

If dragon did that, just because of the hurt it caused other people, I would probably ban him. I don't think having a person like that here is a good thing.
