The main Pokemon games that have been released so far include:

FireRed/LeafGreen - GameBoy Advance - 2004
Emerald - GameBoy Advance - 2005

There are currently, not including 4th Generation Pokemon, 386 different Pokemon.

:D

Beck - April 23, 2006 02:17 PM (GMT)
Nice response...

Ascendancy - April 23, 2006 02:20 PM (GMT)
haha wait, you know in Pokemon Ruby or w/e, well i actually picked that up last night and realized i only need like 4 more to complete the computer thing that keeps track of every monster you have. And the one i need is like a pig, and its evolution. do you know what i am talking about?

Ascendancy - April 23, 2006 02:44 PM (GMT)
I just looked for it and its called Spoink, or someething? I dunno where to find it... :(

Beck - April 23, 2006 02:44 PM (GMT)
Spoink and, its evolution, Grumpig. I know where they are, but don't you have to have Sapphire to get the other pokemon that aren't in Ruby?

Spoink can be found at Jagged Pass.

Ascendancy - April 23, 2006 02:45 PM (GMT)
yes i have Sapphire, and i traded them over to my file. i just need to get that pig thing! lol.

Beck - April 23, 2006 02:48 PM (GMT)
Ah, I see. I edited my above post.

Ascendancy - April 23, 2006 02:59 PM (GMT)
:( I haevnt played this game in a LONG time. where is Jagged Pass?

Beck - April 23, 2006 03:03 PM (GMT)
Check your map. I know that it's right next to Lavaridge Town.

Ascendancy - April 23, 2006 03:05 PM (GMT)
ok thanks :)

Beck - April 23, 2006 03:14 PM (GMT)
Do you plan on buying Diamond and/or Pearl when they are released?

Ascendancy - April 23, 2006 03:15 PM (GMT)
When are those coming out? I completly forgot that they were making those, but i probably will definetly buy those. :)

Beck - April 23, 2006 03:21 PM (GMT)
They're scheduled for the end of the year in Japan. I'm certain that they'll announce something about the games at E3. I'm really looking forward to the Wi-Fi functions.

Ascendancy - April 23, 2006 03:23 PM (GMT)
I really hope they have something at E3 about it, that'd be awsome!

Beck - April 23, 2006 03:25 PM (GMT)
I'm glad that the two games allow you to trade over any Pokemon from Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, and LeafGreen.

Ascendancy - April 23, 2006 03:26 PM (GMT)
That is really awsome.

ninx - April 23, 2006 07:34 PM (GMT)
Ah Pokemon, so great but apparently money went to the franchise's head and is the epitomy of a whored franchise.

Pokemon Red & Blue was just fantastic. And the Cartoon Series was good for awhile. Oh well I am just now interested in what will happen for it with Nintendo's new jumps into Online & with their new innovative concepts.

There's still potential there. I can see it getting Online & possibly getting a more honed nurturing process with your pokemon ala the DS's Touch Screen & Revolution controller & the Mic stuff.

Beck - April 23, 2006 07:55 PM (GMT)
The show was always idiotic and boring.

"Look a person (usually a girl) is in trouble! Let's help them"
"Oh, no. It's Team Rocket. I'm afraid of them even though we always kick their asses"
"Ah, Team Rocket's backing off again!"
"Well, that was fun"
"Ash and his friends sure did learn a valuable lesson today"

One of the Pokemon manga is actually good on the other hand. It's more mature and realistic. People die, swear, and people will have their Pokemon attack people which will actually kill or injure them. Not like the show's catch-on-fire-and-be-okay reality. The characters aren't obsessed with helping everyone and being the best at everything. Red is perverted, Green beats people up, Blue is a thief. I really like it, but I've only read translated summaries of the chapters. I can't find a site that has the actual manga translated.

Haha that is funny because a lot of kids shows are like basically like that. :)

Beck - April 23, 2006 08:14 PM (GMT)
I like cartoons, but I hate stupid cartoons like that and Dora the Explorer.

Ascendancy - April 23, 2006 08:23 PM (GMT)

It doesn't matter what age group a show is directed towards. It should be good no matter what.

Ascendancy - April 23, 2006 08:37 PM (GMT)
Well i am pretty sure that a 6 year old wont be interested in Fullmetal Alchemist, not to mention Ghost in the Shell.

I would of been at that age.

Ascendancy - April 23, 2006 08:40 PM (GMT)
You wouldn't understand it. I started watching FMA when i was like 11 and i didnt understand crap till i was like 12 1/2.

Beck - April 23, 2006 08:42 PM (GMT)
I'm not you, am I?

Ascendancy - April 23, 2006 08:45 PM (GMT)
I should hope not cuz that would be really really awkward.

Beck - April 23, 2006 08:47 PM (GMT)
There you go.

Ascendancy - April 23, 2006 09:00 PM (GMT)
Hey how do you get the difference between Cascoon and Silcoon?
:D

Beck - April 23, 2006 09:01 PM (GMT)
It depends on what time of day it is. Wurmple evolves into one in the day and the other at night.

Ascendancy - April 23, 2006 09:04 PM (GMT)
well i was playing last night at 12:35 in the morning, like around midnight and i got silcoon. so that means that if its past midnight, it counts as morning?

This is essentially a fan thread, so I'm moving it to social.

Beck - April 24, 2006 07:54 AM (GMT)
What the hell!? No, it isn't. This is a thread for talking about the games. Move it back.

Lol you are the creator of the thread so I will move it back after your edit made it clear that this is about the games.

Beck - April 24, 2006 10:25 AM (GMT)
Thank you. I thought that it was obvious that it was focusing on the games, but I edited the first post to make it clear.

Ascendancy - April 24, 2006 09:37 PM (GMT)
Ya i was gonna say....how is this NOT games?!

The time in the game is messed up. For example, Eevee will evolve into Umbreon during the day in Ruby/Sapphire even though it's suppose to evolve into Umbreon during the night.

Ascendancy - April 24, 2006 10:41 PM (GMT)
...Is that like that in every Ruby/Sapphire game? Because....that's really really messed! (And to think, I could have had a Dustox!!!)

Beck - April 25, 2006 12:38 PM (GMT)
Of course. Why would it only be like that in certain copies?
