Hello all, just your friendly neighborhood person-who-moved-and-is-still-trying-to-stay-in-contact here.

Just wondering how things are going, there's been some notes on the con, but not much, and while I haven't been logging in to respond, I have been reading a good portion of them. :P

If we could get a layout of the con, a description of what the current idea is, and any and all information anyone wants to post, that would be great, not just for me, but for your purposes as well.

Having things in writing help iron out unforeseen difficulties and differences in vision before they occur.

On a side note, I was called a couple months back about a vote on the possibility of a two-day con. I believe it was voted down, but there appears to be indeed a two-day con, was this voted on again? Granted I don't get much info, so I probably misheard it, but I believe it's important enough to find out about.

Was any progress made on making sure parking is indeed free this time without having to get lucky on the security guards that were there being merciful and not getting mad at us for imposing on them due to poor communication between our contact and their boss? (Run-on ftw)

Will we be using signs this year instead of chalk? I remember people being less than thrilled at our Chalk art on the ground. :P If I can get a finalized layout of the con, I can make a system of arrow signs to various sights and events so we can avoid that this year.

As mentioned in the last con report, Angel was "Burned" and would not be joining unless loose ends had been tied up, has that changed, and which loose ends need to be tied up?

I'm sure I have more questions, but I can wait till we have a discussion going before I post too much. (Wall of text crits you for over 9000!)

Well, we've split the con in two so we can cater to two separate groups (Gamers friday, Otaku Saturday) and split up everything more evenly.

We are mostlay all in agreement that Warhammer should be kept to SMALL GAMES.

We have a couple new members who might be able to help out.

I think we have the VOice actor who did Roy mustang from Full Metal Alchemist and the Voice Actress who did Fay Valentine from Cowboy Bebop.

We're still waiting on Angel as her physical stor went under durring the economy and she was burned pretty bad durring Anime X.

So, we DO have a 2-day con? Was there a second vote or something? Do we have enough activities to fill both days, without leaving one or the other somewhat empty?

What happened exactly at Anime X?

I agree on the Warhammer thing, didn't see much going on till the end XD

I can email you the proposal we sent to the school, Carrin. That has extremely detailed information about the floor plan, schedule, events and activities that we are planning for this year. Can I get your email so I can send you it. I think it'll answer a lot of your questions.

Here's what went down with the 2 day thing. It was voted to have Kin-Yoobi Con for one day only, but about half the club still wanted to do two days. So, we just created a new con on Friday with a different name so if it does fail it won't be associated with Kin-Yoobi Con and those who have their reputation riding on Kin-Yoobi Con won't be effected. Also, those who do not wish to be involved with the planning of the Friday event won't have to, so it makes everyone happy. We definitely have more than enough events to fill both days, some people are even saying we have too many (which is what I was going for). Meeting documentation for 1-8-09 lists all the events we proposed if you're curious.

In regards to Angel she just hasn't been getting good business being a vendor at cons she's gone to as of late and she's still on the fence whether she wants to continue being a vendor. Whether or not she decides to be a vendor for us again, we should still keep moving forward and grab as many vendors as possible. If she does decide to be a vendor for us again that'll be fantastic, if not, well we'll just have to pick up the slack.
