wow.....lemme just say....wow.....

Very powerful movie. Completely blew me away. All the messages in it, the beautiful animation, the compelling story, the directing....wonderful.

And for some reason I found watching 'normal' animals and mythical animals running into battle together really....touching. Not to mention that the designs for the creatures such as the fauns, gryphons, and centaurs were AMAZING (totally kicked Harry Potter's ass...)

I highly recommend this...

*walks away to be amazed some more*

I'd expect that from seeing the trailer. Even if the title is a little weak.

lol! well in a movie adaptation of a book, they're not going to change the movie's title from the title of the book! (well, except for "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"'s movie adaption of "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," but that was only because it was a marketing plow for the new brand of Willy Wonka candy...)

And remember, this book was written in 1950, when the art of writing fiction was - in my opinion - incredibly different than it is now. A little more....laid back, even when writing books of more of an 'action' nature.

I know, but the titl doesn't really scream much. Well, the first part does but the secondary title doesn't really say much, in a series it makes a difference.

Sounds good and it'd be the what I'd see if I go to the movies but it doesn't look like i'm going to get to anytime soon, so I guess I'll just wait until I run into it. Ehehe. Got TONS of homework and work and SAT prep on sundays...club events... not supposed to be online lol...

That sounds like you and your schedule.

I don't have the SATs this year, I have been booked on the test days so I haven't done them. Next year they are manditory for me to take, so say good pye to my summer plans for the last month and a half...then the rest of my fun for that year....(not that I ever have much fun during the school year...nothing's a challenge....and I don't try...a bad habit, but it's getting me A's and B's, what do I care. I impressed my english teacher with an essay that I wrote at 3 in the morning, and she said that she wants to use it as an example for future students...)

Are you ever supposed to be online outside of school purposes?

And on a last note, if I didn't have a project due this week, I'd take someone to see that movie. Don't know who, but watching a movie by oneself is kinda depressing.

Actually, nope I'm not supposed to be online if its not for school purposes unless its a friday or a vacation...the first two days of it...after that "Go do your homework"

Yea, watching a movie by yourself would be lonesome. I would like to watch it one day.

I went to see the new Batman movie by myself over the summer. I felt like a loser haha.

Anyway, I saw LW&W this evening and I absolutely loved it. The special effects were amazing. Ranks right up there with Harry Potter and LOTR. The soundtrack is great too. I already have that. XD You guys really need to go see it. You won't be dissapointed. And Lucy is so cute! XD

I haven't read the book...surprisingly, fantast is usually one of my preferred types of books, you mind can just go crazy diving into that world.

Sounds like my parents before I unlocked part of my potenial for them, they don't bother me about my school work any more. They just ask "How much homework you have tonight?" And be done with it. Though they have a stack of books they want me to read...all 200-400 of them...on varying topics...

yeah, the soundtrack was wonderful! All the vocal songs I absolutely love. And Lucy is easily my favorite character in the movie....followed closely by Mr. Tumnus, lol. The other kids were....annoying. Especially Susan, ick.

Yeah, I've read the book before.....years and years ago though. I didn't really remember it when I saw the movie yesterday, but I found my copy of the book last night and read it, so I'm all refreshed, lol. The book was given to me when I was in kindergarten (it's signed by who I guess was an assistant teacher with a nice little note)....15 years ago XD

<----old fart

As for homework....yeah. Here too. My dad asks me EVERY DAY (and has for years now) "Do you have a test today?" It's an innocent question, but highly annoying after a while. And whenever he doesn't want me around (like if I'm watching tv and he wants to watch it, or if I'm making "too much noise" around him) he tells me to go do my homework....*sigh*

OH, and I'd like to defend myself here, in case any of you have doubts....yes, I'm a college student, and yes I live at home ("with my parents" as people now say *sigh*) but I do so because I have no interest in living on campus (I wouldn't be able to handle it....I need my space) and I simply don't have the time to earn the money to live on my own....it's more important to do school work, lol. Among other reasons, but those are the top ones. Therefore I am NOT a bum, :-p *gets all defensive for no reason*

=] No problem if you live with your parents. I know even in one and half years I wont be ready to live on my own, but I so want to go to a SUNY that I'm going to try to live on campus. I'd probably come home every weekend lol. 3 hour ride. I want to be roommates with my best friend, *hopes* ;D

Thinking about it makes me nervous. That's the farthest I'm going to apply for. The rest will probably be in the City. ^^

When I finish though, I want to move back with my parents hehe. xD So you aren't a bum. I think its good because then you save money up for later on instead of renting and watching the money go away while nothing comes in. *nods*

Well, look at it this way, my parents have officially stated that they will boot me out of the house after I graduate from high school...at least you guys have compassion from your parents that they'd let you stay, and there's no problem with staying with your parents for a brief time while in the transitional phase of your life.

As for colleges are concerned, I've kinda lined out a few choices of my own, already have a general idea as to which teachers I want to write my rec letters, and finally my major looks like a toss up between astrophysics and some form of geology, I might have done archeaology, but I keep thinking of it as being nothing more than grave robbing.

The farthest school to send me something was in Colorado, I might go there just because it is close to good ski country, a real plus. I got a leter from the UC (University of California) system a while back...it represented every university in california runned by the gov...(There was a big flow of letters this last month, including one to go to NHC...blah...) You all know that jazz. I'll probably be doing more research on the matter of colleges and universities in the coming month.

lol! Just wait until the calls from the army start pouring in....when they came for me I found it hysterical. No way in hell, heh.
They even went to my friend's front door and tried to get her to talk to them....and at the time she was men-phobic so I'm sure you can guess how that turned out lol

*sigh* I've made up my mind to apply to study abroad in Japan next year.....and if I get in....woo, that's a lot of money AND a BIG transition for me, and a very hard one at that (living on my own, in a country so foreign the culture shock will be a b****)....kinda weird that I'm willing to do that but not live on campus, eh? lol
Maybe I just don't want to have to deal with drunk/drugged up roommates, happy.gif
*crosses fingers for the 8923740973592016709173905613985729148146584751 th time.....hopes to get in, lol*
