Princes of Asturias Forum Rules

We, the moderating team, want this forum to be a fun place. It was created in the spirit of discussing our favourite royal couple, the Prince and Princess of Asturias and their newborn daughter Infanta Leonor, as well as other royal families. We don't want there to be a lot of rules, but some rules are necessary. The first rule is the most important:

Respect. Have respect for the comments made by others even if they are different than your own.

If you follow this rule, then we will always have a good place to chat, enjoy each other's company and learn from each other.

Here are the other rules:

Be constructive. Comments may be critical but they should be constructive or contribute in some manner. To say that someone is as ugly as a dog is not a helpful comment, rather an empty comment that doesn't contribute to any discussion.

Do not spread rumours, especially negative ones. Sometimes it is fun to engage in fun gossip such as that someone may be engaged or pregnant. But please do not make posts that someone is dying without a reliable source.

Provide sources. Photo agencies, magazines, newspapers, or other message boards or forums should get credit for images or articles.

Don't steal bandwidth. At other message boards or forums and here, images are hosted at people's personal image hosting accounts. Do not take the links for these images and post them elsewhere. Host the images yourself then share them.

No swearing or obscene language. This applies to curse words or offensive language in English or other languages.

No pornographic or obscene images. Pornographic images are self-explanatory but obscene images are subjective. It is up to our discretion what is considered obscene.

No political or religious discussions. These are two subjects which can lead to heated discussions easily and quickly and lead to insults about other nations, cultures, social practices and traditions, or religious beliefs.

No advertising or solicitation. Don't make posts or contact members to try and sell something.

Do not type all in caps. Typing all in capital letters is considered "yelling" on the internet. Also, do not use bold face font for regular posts as this is also considered yelling. Try to use a normal font for your posts. Sometimes special colours or larger font sizes can be used for special occasions or announcements but not in everyday posts.

Do not harass other members. Don't antagonize members in threads, by private messages or e-mails.

No post-slutting. This means making endless posts saying unhelpful or empty things, like making 20 posts saying "Thank you for the pictures."

Princes of Asturias materials are for this forum only. There are times when special materials will be made for the Princes of Asturias forum, such as banners, avatars, wallpapers, videos or other special project by the two of us and by our members. Please don't post these things for use at other forums. That isn't fair to those who have put time and effort into creating such things.

We are both adults and believe in an open door policy. If you have a problem with another member or with something we have done or feel that something is unfair or disrespectful then please contact us. Please don't make public your frustrations or displeasure in posts. We would appreciate it more and have more respect if you took it up with us personally. We are both human and sometimes we get caught up in things and may make decisions that may not be fair or be jaded. Take it up with us. We are willing to hear what you have to say.

So these are our policies at the Princes of Asturias forum. We think they are simple and straightforward. Especially this last one:
