Foothills' Entrance The entrance to the pack can be found at the foothills; the border is marked by the beginnings of the mountains, specifically two that lean slightly into each other, creating a path between them. But be warned: do not hasten over the border. It is suggested one awaits permission before going, or at least does not head far. Even if the Scouts do not easily get angry, Terrore Elusivo will not enjoy someone crossing into his land unbidden. Be careful upon entrance.
Here, the land seems to be a bit daunting; forward is a land made entirely (or nearly so) of mountains. How does any wolf survive in these parts? Do you plan to step forward and find out, or shall you stay behind, turn around, and go back, unwilling to face such a challenge, to learn the secrets of Chaotic Tranquility?
It is your choice, but make it quick. You will have one chance: turn back now. If you do not, make no mistake. You may not have the option again.

Spring of Desperation The welcome source of water lies here, a bit away from the meeting place for the pack; it is cool and thirst-quenched, as well as necessary for the pack's survival. With all the climbing and exertion each member undergoes, it would be impossible not to have some source of water--and this is a very good one, for that matter.
It is named for the fact that a long time ago, there was a wolf who stumbled upon this terrain. He hiked for ages, hardly able to move any longer. When he'd given into the fact that he was dying, he looked for a place that might at least provide him some comfort as he dropped into oblivion. Unable to find a suitable place, and not having much time, he finally dropped to the floor. But because it was quiet, he heard it. Water.
All helplessness gone, desperation replaced it and he stepped forward--stumbling and hobbling all the way--and came upon the spring. Believing it was a gift from the God, he felt that they owed something to that very God, and so would give him something. And, of course, he chose to rule over the terrain after that, feeling it, if no one else, cared.
This wolf's great grandson's Beta is the grandfather of Terrore Elusivo.

Riunione Importante Some of the human's Italian must have been known to the wolf who named this place, for that of 'Riunione Importante' literally translates to 'Important Meeting', considering such a place is the meeting for the wolves, as well as a place to rest. It is a meadow, a soft and relaxing place. It is also where the Alpha will name the ranks of the wolves and where the wolves discuss what next must happen. Sometimes the meetings are for specific ranks whilst other times they are for everyone. Of course, the Alpha is allowed to be included in any discussion; he is the Leader of the lands, after all.
All in all, it is a rather pleasent place to be. When exertions have grown to be too much, it is a place to lay down and sleep, which many wolves take the liberty to do. But it is certainly not the only place to sleep; there are many caves, too, where wolves will sleep.

Hot Springs Simply that. Hot Springs. Unlike the other spring, this is full of the warmth that many wolves choose to become comfortable and bathe within. Often, elders choose to be here for some time, due to their 'aching bones' and whatnot, but this does not mean they don't have their own duties. Either way, there is some grass surrounding the stream, a comfortable place to lay whilst dipping your paws into the water.
Although living in these lands is a difficult life, there are many bits to enjoy and cherish; this is one of them. This is something that few other wolves would truly be able to experience. It relaxes tired and sore muscles, and would be recommended by the 'healer' (or some such title) in any pack.
Comfortable, satisfying, delightful.

Cave Threads 'Cave Threads' is called such based on the fact that it is a thread of caves running through every inch of the mountains. Some are dens; most are simply places that few know about. Others might be secret hideaways, even, or little clubs that some of the pups use. They link to nearly anywhere imaginable, but it's easy to get lost if one doesn't know one's way around, so it's a suggestion that wolves are to be careful.
Herein lie the labrynth of caves; some may link to that of the Alpha's, to the Beta's, or just to the dens for any wolves. Others, as before said, may link to entirely new places. One wolf may be able to discover entirely new things hidden within this thread of caves. But be forewarned: it is much easier to escape than it is to enter.

Merciless West Mountains These are the tallest of the mountains, towering above the others; these are the ones only for those who wish for a challenge, or the ones who, for some reason, are required to get to the top. There had once been rumors that the place was supposedly 'haunted' (mostly started by young pups, or their mothers who didn't want them heading up there), but these are entirely false. Still, young ones sometimes dare each other to go up there--most of said propositions end up in refusals, even though it is tantalizing. Out of the few who have gone there, most of them haven't come back--they were far too young and too weak, with absolutely no training, or at least not enough.
But those few who have gone up and come back down are often somewhat revered for such an effort. Still, there are those who pretend they've been all the way up when they truly haven't, and Terrore Elusivo can certainly tell those ones from the others; it's ever so obvious. Their composure, the way they speak. And it's happened so often, too.
Still, some are challenged to go up here, whilst it is mandatory as others for their training, although this is often rare. Few are truly sure what's up there; in reality, there's a small meadow at the top, lush and green in the summer, but snowy and icy when winter strikes harshly, as it so often does. Just be warned--if you choose to scale these cliffs, ghosts are not the reason you won't come back.

Borderlands The Borderlands are what the members of the pack call the more rugged, bare terrain that's found between Golden Horizon's packlands and the territories of Mori Kalina and Mit Recht. This area is the emptiest, driest part of the desert; virtually no food or water is found within it, and shelter or shade is nearly impossible to find.
This is where newcomers arrive (the Borderlands surround the packlands of Golden Horizon entirely). Since the pack is not yet fully formed, one must only howl and they will be greeted as soon as possible by an alpha (or the nearest high-ranking wolf).

Sunrise Plateau This is a high plateau which provides a wonderful view of the desert below; it's perfect to keep watch from if necessary. It's also the perfect height to watch the sunrise each morning - hence its name. However, once midday rolls around, the plateau becomes extremely hot and a very undesirable place to be, so watch out.
The only shelter found here is a man-made structure, a stone hut, that is no longer very stable. Beware.

Ruins of Arylis These are the ruins of an old, abandoned temple at the heart of the desert where an isolated civilization tried to begin building a home for themselves, but failed when the heat drove them away. Now all that's left of this temple are the three central buildings which have one room each, as well as crumbled pillars and miscellaneous stone structures surrounding them.
Inside the courtyard is a stone altar, where the wolves of Golden Horizon come to pray to their goddess, Arylis. Arylis is the Goddess of Water, whose tears, they believe, provide them with their yearly rains.

The Wall This wall stands at the northern edge of the Borderlands, between Golden Horizon and the Northern Forests. It was built by the same people who created the temple (now the ruins of Arylis) and, like the temple, it was left unfinished. It's four feet high and goes on for about seven miles each way. It's very unstable; there are many breaks and cracks that an average-sized wolf could fit through easily. Otherwise, the only notable thing about it is that trees and other plants grow nearby, but these are all relatively small and gnarled and don't survive for long.

The Plain This is no doubt the most mercilessly deadly part of the entire desert. Not only are its sands searingly hot from sunrise until sunset and able to scorch the pads on any wolf's paws, but the most ferocious of desert animals and bugs are found here: rattlesnakes being the most dangerous and abundant. Parents refuse to let their young come near here, and only the bravest (or most foolish) dare to go hunting in this area, as jackrabbits live here in great numbers.
This stretch of land lies between the Ruins of Arylis and the Sunrise Plateau; it can be used as a shortcut, but for obvious reasons, most of the wolves choose to take the long way.

The Dens Once, long ago, a great battle of men occurred here. They dug deep caverns in the clay-like sand to hide and rest in. Unfortunately for them, the enemy knew of their tactic, and ambushed them in the middle of the night. None were left alive.
Now the wolves of Golden Horizon use these deep, dark tunnels as dens and as shelter from the sun during the day. Pups are birthed and raised here as well. The dens are located just north of the Oasis, and right by the river, which is the main water source for the wolves.
As well, around the den area, the largest game is found: kudu and white-tailed deer, mostly, with the occasional camel stopping by for a rest.

 |
Fountain of Life This is what we call a small waterfall where the water that runs off from the oasis connects with the main river, which runs beside the dens. Around it is where the most vegetation grows: wild flowers and other such small plants such as cacti and cherubs.
The fountain acts as the main meeting point for the Golden Horizon pack members. The Alpha(s) sit(s) at the top of the waterfall while the rest of the pack sits below them (this is to easily see who's speaking, not necessarily to show dominance/higher class) and addresses issues that need to be discussed. All pack gatherings happen here unless as stated otherwise by the Alpha(s).
And one more thing. One must be careful around here: the members that have grown used to the land know their way around them by now, but there are quicksand pits scattered around this river as the water runs beneath them. Those who go for a drink and aren't careful sometimes don't return.

The Grounds This is the majority of the southwest land. It is the pack's main land, where dens are located for the birthing wolves, left behind by countless generations. It is located within the forest, though at this particular area more light shines through the tops of the trees.
At the north of the land lies the river to which ends within the lake. And also another small stream crosses through and enters the desert land, which strikes at the east of the pertaining area.

The Isle Within the lake resides a small piece of land. It does not seem like much, but is where most meetings concerning the pack are held. It is also where wolves can be alone to think things over, or to gaze at the stars with another.
The infinitesimal soil is parted to both meadow and flora. To one side lies the thick, but oddly soft blades of grass that had lost thier ability to harm after many years of flooding. To the other side rests a tree that is low to the earth, trunk below the water and spreading roots wrapping around the island. It is large, for many years has it survived and many more is evident. Surrounding both sides are flowers that are scattered in unequal places, many the most beautiful of the land because of its location.

Twilight Meadow To the north east of Mori Kalina lies the meadow. Its luxurious green grasses as tall as any large beast, their feel of soft waving blades under the grace of the wind a source of calm serenity. However, those who do not know how to walk through the vast land could quite easily exit with deep cuts. The floor of this area is captured in the caress of delicate loam.
This piece of land is a perfect place where birds along with small land dwelling creatures hide in the safty of invisibility. Even a wolf could escape the watchful eye of prey if lowering one's self toward the ground.
At night, the stars twinkle brightly and illuminate the patch of meadow, unlike the forest that surrounds it which only recieves minimal light on a cloudy day.
Located near the south east lies a decent sized lake where one could bathe, swim, fish, or bask in the rays of sunlight.

The Mainland The mainland is simply the forest covered area of Mori Kalina, more clearly near the Foothills. Many trees are scattered throughout, roughly breaking 'way for light to decend from the canopy. Within summer days, it is humid, but very tolerable. During the spring and fall, the land beneath the leaves is damp and cool. A stream staggers from the main river and ends toward the middle.
It is fairly easy for one to get lost, if they do not know the paths taken usually. But it is even more easy to find the way back to where you started from. Stay upon light foot, alert sounding through your senses and perhaps you just might survive.

Crossroads This is the parting of one land into three, the choice of your path determining your fate. To stand upon three territories; their different habitats and scents clutching at ones own senses is quite compelling to one who never seen it before. To the right, if looking in Mori Kalina, the foothills. To the left, the Nuetral lands. Straight ahead, your crossroad of destiny.

Hidden Land This land is roughly settled within the far northeastern part of the land. Like all of Mori Kalina, it carries its own natural beauty. Though, however, this is where most fights have taken place, causing the ground to taint with blood; a faint color just as though it were mixed within the dried ground. It is hard to reach such lands if you do not belong to the pack, but the only such reason of seeking this place is to engage in brutal combat.

Wall Forefront Just to the south lies the Wall; the border that divides Golden Horizon and Mori Kalina. It build looks endless if standing just beneath it. The structure of this obstacle is dangerous to jump over; impossible to say the least, but with withering over time, cracks have made thereselves known. An easy passageway to the desert land.
Trees begin to dwindle around this wall; vegetation still plenty. When getting ever so closer toward the stone-like structure, particles of sand could be easily detected. The winds maybe, that carried across the small particles. And maybe its the doing of other creatures that moved along from Golden Horizon.

Hooved Path It is just that- a trail that borders along the Northwestern side, well-worn by centuries of hooves tramping along and a sort of 'seperation' between the Wasteland's nomadic inhabitants and the florishing forest that marks the start of the coastal area. It is, in all, a trek of flat dirt, no bushes or other foliage to provide cover- no animals wander here save for the ruling pack's patrol.

Flight Forest Where the Desert clashes with the vegatation- it booms into a forest suddenly, as though the Earth was making up for something. An average place with average weather; many prey animals reside here, and bird calls taunt any starved desert-traveler. Rivers weave along the strip of woods; streams are almost placed measureablely apart; hills, almost nonexistant.
The reason it got its name is unknown- though some wolves claim a nest of ravens defend their territory near the center of the Forest: vicious creatures that'll attack any who intrude, though no eyewitnesses could ever tell for sure.

Bluffs' Arc The southern area- the deepest area- that holds many hidden holes, trees thick enough it's impossible to see the sky, and a humidty that would make any furred animal wish to stop after only a little while of walking. The cliffs are sudden- a drop off from the tropical forest, coming with no warning, as underbrush obscures most animal's views. A dangerous, albiet beautiful, place to walk in.

Settlement In the southwestern area resides the pack's stronghold, as little as it's used. A green den rises from the slope that leads to the Beach, covered by trees, bushes and weeds- a small circle of clearing admist the whole of the forest. This main den is large- and the best defended area in the whole land, with a neighboring Bear den along the path that is avoided carefully by warned pack members, but is generally unknown to intruders.

River Beach A solitary place- wonderful, with clear sands and healthy water; an ideal place for any, if they can ignore the hordes of seagulls that circle the area. Starfish wash up on shore at times, palms and itchy grasses sparsely populate the gentle sand. While the sun does shine high, it is still a paradise- and it is honored as sacred, rarely visited except by those that break from the Pack.

Gods' Eyes Just a few yards inland from the Beach are steep, towering dunes- grasses and bushes pile up on the outside of these dome-like holes, creating little cover for any who go by these. The inside of the dunes are, along with being sandy and cliff-like, generally black colored. This unique feature, as it is still in the reach of the Forest, is called what it is because of the rumor of how they were created: roaring rocks that had dug deep into the ground from the Gods' anger, scorching the sand that covered them forever.

Inland The main part of the coastal area; unused and uneventful, it has just a few families of deer, hares or birds; an expanse of tropical forest, mixed with a few softwood trees. Water sources are, surprisingly, hard to come by in this vast area- and though it rains frequantly, the trees soak it all up first, along with keeping any sunlight from coming in. Millions of speices of small animals- like frogs, monkeys and even slugs- reside here.

Swampland A marshy place, with insects by the dozens; large reptiles that'll take off a paw if in reach; soil that'll trap and swallow any whelp foolish enough to get in it. Murky water is unsafe for drinking, vicious fish swarming around- the trees are dead looking, though their roots are above ground, Nature's threat to any who carelessly run around.
This area is generally left alone, and even mysterious to the Alpha of the lands; it just isn't safe.

The Ruins So, you've come upon the Ruins. Approaching them, many wolves can't imagine what they might be, save the fact that they were built by man and it seems to be another of man's strange buildings, although nothing special in particular. These wolves, however, are untrained in human aspects and haven't viewed many buildings up close. But this is different than the others.
It's a sort of shrine, or temple. For what, no one can be particularly sure, but those wise enough to know such are fairly sure that it was erected to pay respects to some sort of God.
Now, though, it has become nothing more than a spot for wolves to rest their tired legs, a place of shelter against both the blazing sun of summer and the freezing chill that bites at winter's approach.
Will it ever become important to the future of Fatal Moonlight? Only time will tell.

Ocean's Tendril The small body of water is named such because of the fact that it empties into the ocean. Just like the other, it is fresh water, although if one is to move steadily closer to the the ocean, it can become a bit salty, as the waters mix and combine a bit.
Around it is mainly beach sand, as opposed to the desert sand that often lies beneath the paws of wolves in The Wastelands. It is soft and indicates that the ocean is somewhat near. But such sand is more commonly forward closer in the direction of the bit where the river empties into the ocean; either way, it's a cool spot to at least quench one's thirst.

The Watchtower Apparently, whoever created such a name for this place had studied humans or at least knew plenty about them, for this is also the name that the humas referred to it as. Humans built it so as to protect their kingdom ans spot enemies on the horizon, althought it seems a bit randomly placed at this spot. Either it serves no particular need or such a kingdom was overrun, whilst the watchtower wasn't. Although that makes little sense, perhaps there was some sort of reason the Gods bestowed it with a magical prowess, if this is the case.
At the moment, wolves use it for shelter and to see off into the distance when they are scouting for differnet things. Whether this turns out to play a bigger role in the future of the wolves that inhabit Fatal Moonlight will leter be discovered.

Purity Stream Because of its desert surroundings, the stream has been named such because the water is pure and clean, unlike the hot and tiring desert and very unlike the salty water to the other side of The Wastelands. It is quite obviously refreshing.
Although mainly surrounded by sand that acts as the ground for most of the desert, there is actually a bit of grass that grows around the stream itself, making it stand out from all else. It couldn't, however, be considered an 'oasis' by any means. It is only a temporary welcome from the hot desert and there is no shade to be found within. Still, this Purity Stream is the very thing wolves often seek when stuck in the desert with absolutely no idea where to go next.

Vast Landscape This is the main part of the desert; it is, to be perfectly honest, little at all. Many could die and never realize, if they walked onward in a certain direction, they would find shelter. If they walked in another, they might even come across water. But here is where many perish, unable even to cry out from such dehydration.
Scattered here and there are bits of someting humans built, likely from The Ruins and perhaps some from The Watchtower, although presumably more so from the former. Some wolves look at these for days, wondering if perhaps their trail might lead to someting, but end up destroyed in the desert before anything good might come of it.
Basically, the Vast Landscape is simply a Vast Nothingness. Whether there's something important out here, in this graveyard for many, can never be sure. What can be sure is that there are definitely skeletons littered about the desert floor -- watch your step.
