How do all.
This is Vampyre13 from over at FVZA.
I read thru some of the content... and had a question before fully
becoming integrated. One is on character creation/guidelines.

I (obviously) would prefer to portray a vampire character.
I had several questions come up.

1. Age of vampire character? (do the vamp types have longevity {100+ yrs old})
2. Special abilities of the vamp? besides agility, heighten senses, strength etc etc.
Can they have mind-altering abilites?
3. Background. If the vamp has lived a long time, could several backgrounds be possible... meaning knowledge. Doctorites in Education, Medicine, Chemistry, etc etc etc. Nothing uber detailed...just overall smarts... but one affinity for say explosive making and such?... as an example.

1. Vampirism is a virus and you have prolonged age.

2. Increased strength speed and regeneration

3. My secondcharacter is a vampire but is a good guy in a sense. He createde V-corp which loocks into creating vaccine for extremely rare virus (like vampirism and zombism)

I'm essentially going to repeat but elaborate on what Roncas said.

1. A couple hundred years is pretty resonable so long as you're smart enough to survive. And at this point there isn't really any known age limit.

2. Sadly no mind altering abilities, unless you count scaring small children and religous types half to death.

3. I'd be a little sad if I were alive for hundreds of years and didn't learn much, so go ahead and get your character educated.

Damn, I have to pay attention more often.

Ok, so, a good start would be to read the FVZA vampire biology section on the main site. Tells you lots. Other than that, the others have pretty much covered it.

Well, multiple characters are normally discouraged. I personally don't like them because it detracts from your main character and their storyline.

Every once in awhile I pull in a mission or multi-mission specific NPC that I control personally. A good example of this was Wellingford in part I of the Death Manor mission. They are a good distraction from the everyday norm of your main character, but are disposable and don't hang around as much as a second character would.

I concur with Templar. Having a disposable NPC usually works pretty well. I had a guy going by the name of Ivan back on the old RPG, a shame I didn't get around to bringing him back when my main character went vampire.
