Background: During high school Miller was considered to be a below average student. His grades were lackluster, and he excelled in only social studies related classes, and did fairly in shop classes. He was described by the counselors as "unlikely to go anywhere in life" while teachers described him as "intelligent, but lazy as hell".
After graduating high school in 1995 Miller went into the United States Air Force where he served a six year stint in the Security Forces, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. During this time he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in History with a minor in Psychology. He was stationed in places ranging from Japan, Germany, Texas, and even completed a tour of duty in the Balkans.
When his enlistment ended in 2001 Miller would return to his home state of Illinois and attend the state's police academy. He would then go on to become a police officer in the small town that he grew up in. In 2005 during this time he would encounter a vampire who caused the town's first murder. Miller proceeded to lead an investigation that ended with the capture of the vampire. The vampire has been a "guest" at the Santa Rosa Institute ever since. When Congress would form the FVZA not long afterwards Miller was offered a spot with the first batch of agents.
[Hey! Whatsup, Cyber? Wonder if RPD and Requiem are gonna come back?]
Now that you mention it I should try to get in touch with them and give them the heads up. RPD was actually involved in setting this place up with some ideas about a year ago, I'm sure he'd be interested.
Man, I wish I still had their IM addresses. Same with Templar, he had some awesome writing.
Welcome to the forum.
And thanks for the compliment.
