Name: Brandur (Americanized: "Brandon") Tor Sigulfr
Occupation: Wilderness Survivalist
Age: Late twenties
Eye Color: Grey (with just a hint of yellow at the right angle)
Hair: Dirty Blonde, Shoulder-length, Wavy
Weight: 185 lbs.
Attire/Appearance: Brandon is a descendant of the infamous vikings, and he definitely matches the archetype on first inspection. He has one, long braid on the left side of his head that he lets hand loose, a bent nose and angular, filled-out facial features. He generally seems a bit unhygienic, with somewhat greasy locks not uncommonly spattered with bits of dry leaves.
He is usually seen dressed in something between "crazy post-apocalypse wilderness survivor" and "modern Native American hunter." Bits and pieces of camouflage are mixed in with tanned furs and other odd trinkets.
History: Brandon came from Iceland to the United States in his early twenties to help an old friend start something called "Terra Gard." The compound in Montana was supposed to house survivors of Nuclear fallout in the wilderness, self-sustained, for years.
About a year into the experiment, Brandon discovered that the whole operation was a cover. In secret, Vampires were attempting to house and breed feeding stock. His old "friend" was one of the bloodsuckers. He was one of the few to escape, taking a couple Nightwalkers with him.
Now Brandon lives in the wilderness, using the practical survival skill he learned to sustain himself off of the land. Times arise when he must travel to the only nearby town- Rallisburg- but prefers not to as he has evidence that it is now under vampire control as well. Rarely does he travel far from his original home.
Basically, he hates vampires and anything to do with them. Unfortunately, he also has come to dislike human contact and often seems to act more like an animal than a man.
Equipment: A basic kit of compact survival gear fit to sustain an adept woodsman almost indefinitely, a somewhat antiquated Winchester .22, a compound bow with target arrows for catching game, and a 10" survival knife.
((I realize this character may seem a bit outlandish, especially compared to Alan Rowan- but look it up. These kind of crazy survival groups DO exist, and Brandon IS meant to be somewhat insane.))
[Isn't Tsumari the Hokage off of Naruto or am I mistaken? Correct me, please, if I am wrong. But I am curious.]
Actually, I've used the name Tsumari LOOONG before Naruto was even written- almost 10 years now, actually. The first time I used it was on a MUD (Multi-User Dungeon- basically a text-based DnD game played on a message board, for those who don't know), and the name originally came from an obscure Namek Warrior character from my favorite show at the time, Dragonball Z.
Yes, I admitted it. I just thought it sounded cool and I've used it ever since.
Wow. Ten years. Curious.
BTW- I know what a MUD is.
Yeah, I wasn't saying you didn't. Just wanted to clarify for anyone who read this that may not have been around in the MUD days.
