Character Creation

Please use the template provided when creating your character for the role play and try to follow along the guidelines of character creation. If you have any questions or queries please direct them to the role play leaders in the query thread.

Your character will have to be overlooked and approved, especially if its a unique race. One of the role play leaders will contact you through PM to confirm if your character has been approved or needs a bit of tweaking.

After you have been approved feel free to join in any of the threads or start your own. We look forward to role playing with you!

Name: Full name of your character.
Age: If not human, how old they appear to be in human form.
Race: Open to humans and creatures.
Occupation: Whatever your character does for a living; anything from student to host! Be creative and don't think you're restricted.
Physical Description: Be sure to include important information like height, hair and eye color, and clothing. If a creature please also include their natural appearance.
Personality: Highlight how your character acts. Feel free to include strengths, weaknesses, habits, quirks, likes, dislikes, etc.
Background: A little about your character's history and how they got to where they are now. If a creature talk about why they decided to live in the human world and their opinions about humans.

Name: Seiryune (Ryu) Yunisame
Age: 16
Race: Human
Occupation: High School Student
Physical Description: Ryu is your average looking high school girl; at least one of the ones who isn't so overly concerned with her appearance. She doesn't wear make up and normally keeps her hair under very low maintainence. Her hair is a slightly dark brown that extends just past shoulder length and her bangs hang just abover her eyebrows. The girl's brown eyes are often covered by her very plain looking black rimmed reading glasses that she often wears in school and whenever she's out and about in her uniform. Casually she never has them on since her eyesight is perfectly fine but when in her school uniform she believes she needs them on as she is 'always studying.' When not dressed in her school uniform Ryu likes to dress comfortably in summer dresses or skirts. During colder seasons she settles for pants and light jackets with an occassional solid colored overcoat.
Personality: Seiryune is simply shy by nature but also because of her past. She doesn't open up to others at all and keeps her troubles and feelings to herself. School is almost like work; she separates her personal and 'professional' lives and classmates are nothing more than accquaintances. Despite her rather cold take on her school life and friendship she is a very kind and caring individual. She does not hesitate to go out of her way for others, including her classmates. To everyone in and outside of school she is just a typical high schooler but beneath it all she is a very lonely young girl who has built up a barrier against relationships of any kind.
Background: Ryu lives alone in a small apartment on the outskirts of town and next to the station that leads to her school. It was all she could afford to do with the amount of money left behind from her parents in order to allow for other living allowances. She negotiated a good deal with her landlord as well; they being some of the few people who know about her family. When Seiryune was very young there was a terrible fire where she lived and her home was destroyed; her parents were nowhere to be found. It was so long ago that she cannot recall the faces or voices of her parents any longer and the incident itself is nothing but a blur to her now.

Despite the trauma of growing up without her parents and alone she got by on her own and got to know the people around town very well. She often volunteers her help to the local shop owners and they pay her with goods and groceries for her troubles. Ryu also lives an average school life, though she takes no part in any social aspects of it. Instead she spends her free time at the library or wandering around the outskirts of town in forests and near the riverbank. Ryu finds a strange solace in nature and also the simple joys of literature.

Name: Alastor (Alias: Aisaka Reiji)
Age: Unknown. He maintains an appearance of a 20 year-old.
Race: Demon
Occupation: English teacher

Physical Description: Alastor's original appearance is unknown, but when he appears as a human, he has a head of black hair with a slightly messy fringe that reaches his eyebrows. A straight nose adorns the centre of his face above a mouth perpetually set in a straight line of neutrality which when opened, shows a set of perfectly straight white teeth. While in his guise, Alastor is slightly tanned and wears spectacles most of the time, though only for decoration purposes. He has a set of ice-blue eyes that arrests attention, even if the rest of his features do not.

Personality: Despite being a demon, Alastor seems to have an unusual interest in humans. He considers them as 'equal, living organisms' unlike some of his more ravenous brethren. Aside from that, Alastor has no real love of 'living things which talk' as he considers them all capable of treachery and deceit, mostly using them for his own ends. He is also unable to stand continuous taunting and constantly does strange things, earning him few friends and a heretical reputation even among his own kind. As the teacher Aisaka Reiji, Alastor is stern to his students yet kind and helps them out whenever they are in trouble with something.

In his free time, Alastor listens to ballads and classical music. He has also picked up hobbies such as fishing (to test one's patience), goes to a nearby community club to play chess (to hone his intelligence) and takes up boxing just for fun.

Background: Being an older being, Alastor has taken part in the Wars that have occurred between the humans and the denizens of his own world, where he saw what little friends he had and many of his own kind destroyed. It was during a unusually catastrophic battle where the group he was with was massacred with a few of them the only survivors, hiding away from humans and learning to take on their shapes and melding into their society.

Alastor did stumble upon humans who knew of his true form and despite his misgivings, had made allies and even a friend, all of whom have passed on for their human lives could only bring them so far.

It was after a time that the Guardians had found them, ending their exile and giving them a place to live amongst the humans, though also greatly restricting their powers in order to constrain the supernatural creatures and the possible damage they can cause to the people around them.

As for Alastor, who knew little apart from violence and military tactics during his earlier days as a gladiator for the demons in their massive arenas, he has sought and gained a good amount of knowledge during his time of exile, getting acquainted with culture, the arts, languages and the sciences and is now currently teaching English in a Japanese high school, where he is now situated.
