I am an Aussie who has lived on both sides of the Liffey, Gardiner st, Crumlin and Walkinstown. I was amazed at how people from the Southside would talk about the Northside as if it were a complete slum, yet they were 10 minutes walk from Dolphins Barn. I used to drink in Finglas and never got any grief there, I think it maybe something thats ingrained into Dubs from an early age to put down the Northside as being dodgy and the Southside as being posh. All in all, I still think Dublin is the best city I have ever lived in, and also the best in the world. UP THE DUBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

It shouldn't matter which side you're from as long as you support your county, I think many of our southside friends are more into rugby though. But live and let live eh!

I am from the south side, let me tell ye, no airs or graces there at all, I am from whitechurch, rough as. But I get the point about the likes of some of the 'ragby yah' heads on that side of dublin, then again, malahide is on the north side, 6 of 1......
