A girl around the age of 16, starts to walk along the path leading to the forest.

Yeah, my first pokemon. She thinks to herself. I have always loved Cyndaquil and have hoped to have one of my own and now I do.

She looks around and starts to walk towards the forest, but pauses because she remembers she still needs a map. She also wants to show her mom her pokemon and say goodbye.

She goes to her house and shows her mom the Cyndaquil and heads up to her room to pick up the map, potion, backpack, and pokeballs. Once finished, she returns downstairs and sees her mom playing with Cyndaquil. She smiles happily. Her mom looks up and also smiles at her lovingly, "I can't believe you are finally going off into the world to become a pokemon master. It's all you could talk about when your were younger. You used to say that you'd be the best trainer every with Dragonair at your side and tons of other strong pokemon. Well I hope you have the best of luck inding and capturing them. I love you, sweety."
"I love you too, mom. I'll try to visit you once in a while. See you soon. Bye."
She left the house, looking over her shoulder and waved to her mom who was standing in the doorway waving. "Bye, Nami. Goodluck."
"Thanks, mom. Bye." She gave one final wave, then she turned to the forest and started walking.

[Dragonfyre]

In the forest the wind whispered through the leaves of the trees, swirling around Nami pleasantly. It also curled around Cyndaquil, and she stuck up her pointy snout. She seemed to have caught the smell of something unusual to her, and began to follow the scent. Cydaquil started to walk into the forest.

"What is it girl?" She asks as Cyndaquil starts to follow the strange scent. Nami follows Cyndaquil deeper into the forest. Cydnaquil stops suddenly and waits in a position to attack. There is nothing threatening visible, but they both senced something was coming.

[Dragonfyre]

A Skitty was playing with its tail in the sunlight, streaming down between the leaves of the canopy. It laughed as it tried to catch its tail, and failed. It then stopped. It had seen Nami and Cyndaquil. It approached, curious.

Nami watched the Skitty approach. "Alright, Cyndaquil, do you wanna battle?" She seemed to be asking the question to both Cyndaquil and the Skitty. Nami paused waiting to see what the Skitty would do next.

[Dragonfyre]

Skitty paused before jumping up to Nami, into her arms. It snuggled down there and went to sleep, yawning cutely! Cynadquil watched, confused, but also jealous.

:blink: Nami looked at Skitty with confusion. She carefully set Skitty on the ground, picked up Cyndaquil, and started walking deeper into the forest. She stoked Cynadquil's back lovingly as she walked.

[Dragonfyre]

Skitty wasn't having any of that. It ran up to Nami and Cyndaquil and scratched Cyndaquil in the face! It meowed, trying to get into Nami's arms again. Cyndaquil looked angry and the flames on her back roared into life.

Nami backed away from skitty and shouted angrily, "Cyndaquil! Use Ember on that Skitty!" Cyndaquil happily attacked the Skitty as flames burst from its mouth towards the Skitty.

[Dragonfyre]

Skitty dodged with a Double Team and then quickly struck with a Quick Attack. It smiled again at Nami. It seemed to be able to battle well though. Cyndaquil realised that it had to be cleverer to beat this Pokemon.

Nami glares coldly at Skitty.
Nami calls out in a way that Cyndaquil can comprehend the commands quickly and easily, "Cyndaquil, use Leer! Then use Dig!"

[Dragonfyre]

Skitty looked very upset by Nami's look and started to cry. Tears flowed down its face, and it didn't even notice that Cyndaquil attacked and dug underground. It then sat on the ground, crying.

Nami wasn't phased by skitty's crying.
Once Cynadquil knocked out skitty, she was planning on continuing her journey and search for her favorite pokemon.

[Dragonfyre]

Skity stopped. It realised that its tears weren't getting it the sympathy of Nami. It used a Tackle on Cyndaquil, hitting the unprepared Pokemon hard. Skitty purred in satisfaction.

Cyndaquil got up and used its own tackle on skitty without waiting for Nami to give the command. Nami was pleased with Cyndaquil's actions, "Yeah, go Cyndaquil! I love you!" ^_^
