Sector 1 Reactor The Sector 1 Reactor is one of the eight Mako Reactors built by Shinra, Inc. to power the city of Midgar. This Reactor is the northernmost Reactor in Midgar, and is even referred to by some as the Northern Reactor. The only route to the Reacter is blocked off by a high locked chain fence, |

Sector 5 Slum Aerith's Church The church is present in Sector 5 of Midgar's slums, presumably deserted. The church served a pivotal role in curing the Geostigma disease three years ago. Even after the death of Aerith, the flowers continued blooming thanks to the Lifestream flowing beneath it, Aerith encourages Cloud on in his fight against Kadaj, and images of her, Zack, Tifa, Marlene, and Denzel are seen, when Sephiroth asks Cloud what the thing most precious to him is, so that he may take it away. Rain begins to pour and heal the people of Geostigma and Marlene wonders if it's the 'flower girl'. Tifa thanks Aerith for her help, addressing a water droplet and implying that she too can see Aerith. Kadaj hears her voice in his dying moments, mistaking her for the Mother he was seeking, and presumably reaches out to take her hand as he dies. Cloud, too, calls her Mother, when he floating in a blank space after being caught in an explosion. This makes Aerith comically wonder why everyone's calling her that. Zack's voice tells her that it's probably because everyone is so fond of her. After saying that she doesn't need such a large child, Aerith heals Cloud's wounds, with Zack telling him that, unfortunately, there is no place for Cloud 'here' yet. Aerith during the credits. After waking up in Aerith's church and healing Denzel's geostigma, Cloud sees Aerith and Zack in the church; she beside some children, and he leaning against the doorway. Aerith heads towards the door, and just before exiting, turns to give the first extended shot of her entire face, and asks Cloud if everything will be all right from the on. Aerith then turns and leaves, walking into bright light along with Zack. Cloud affirms that he'll be okay, because he's not alone anymore. Aerith is seen in the ending credits, standing in a huge field of flowers, watching over Cloud as he drives by. She may also be represented, along with Zack, by a pair of yellow flowers placed in front of a picture of AVALANCHE and Cloud's family on Cloud's desk after the ending. In a battle between Cloud and Kadaj, a spring of water bursts forth from the flowerbed of the Sector 5 Church, and heals Cloud's Geostigma. After Cloud defeats Sephiroth, Aerith calls down healing rain to heal the people of Edge of their Geostigma as well. Tetsuya Nomura has stated that the healing rain is meant to be a reference to Great Gospel. |

Sector 6 Slum Wall Market is a shopping center found in Sector 6 of Midgar. It is famous for its dangerous "red light district" atmosphere run by the local crimelord, Don Corneo. The Market includes several different places which the player visits during their first treck through the area. There are several rather mundane locations in the Market, most of which can be found in any Town in any game. First there is an Inn which has a special machine which holds a special item the player may or may not use to get into Don Corneo's Mansion. Also within its grounds are a Weapons and Items Shop. Don Corneo's Mansion is the headquarters for the crime Don Corneo and home to many scenes of debauchery and perversion. Rigged underneath Corneo's personal chambers is the monster Aps. The Honeybee Inn is a members-only adult club. Cloud can receive a membership card from a man in around the Wall Market. Once inside, Cloud can walk around, and peep into the keyholes of the many rooms available. Cloud can sleep in two of the rooms, wherein one, he meets an image of himself, blacks out, and wakes up to a massage from Mukki. The other room allows Cloud to get in a hot tub with Mukki and a bunch of men. Also there is a clothing store, a bar, and a restaurant. The gym is a well known gathering point for cross-dressers. There is one building that has nothing but a machine, that if examined causes a machine gun to fire. If you come with the Section 5 Key later in the game, you'll find the Premium Heart - Tifa's ultimate weapon. |

Shinra Headquarters The Shinra Headquarters dominates the Midgar skyline, easily being much taller than any other structure in the entire city. Being in the center, it is the heart and soul of the metropolis. The building is the head office of Shinra Inc. All Shinra executives maintain their offices here. It acts as the headquarters of the army and nearly all of Shinra's scientific research. The city entrance to the building is located in Midgar's Sector 0. There are only two methods of reaching the building, climbing up from Wall Market, or through the underground rail passage. Regular civilians are permitted to enter the lobby here, where two mirror image staircases along either wall lead up to an elevator shaft. The ground floor houses a help desk, a directory information panel, and doorways to the Exhibit Room. On the upper level of the entrance, several bistro tables sit for guests. You can enter the building via the staircase and climb it to the 59th floor, or enter via the front entrance, where many soldiers from Shinra's army stand guard. The Shinra Headquarters consists of no fewer than 70 floors with all floors above 59 requiring special clearance in the form of keycards. Only Shinra employees are generally permitted on the elevator to floors higher than the entrance level and exhibit room. Basement Levels: The HQ has a number of basement levels, they consist of a network of steel corridors twisting through the plate interior. Floors 1-3: This area consists of the entryway and shopping area. In the foyer are situated the front desks and two elevators that access all floors of the building. Through doors on either side of the front desk is an exhibit room displaying models of vehicles designed by the Shinra Company. President Shinra's private entrance to Deepground is also located here, concealed beneath a display platform. On the second floor is the Shinra item shop which includes a video screen that showcases various Shinra products including automobiles. The third floor has very little except a set of elevators that grant access to the 59th floor, which it shares in common with the second floor. Floor 49: this floor is known as the SOLDIER Floor. Located on this floor are the SOLDIER Training Room, Materia development room, mission briefing room and a lounge area for off duty SOLDIER operatives. The Training Room activates a holographic image of a pre-programmed surrounding, complete with digital enemies to fight. Health experts also train and supervise the mako enhanced SOLDIER members. The residents of this floor also get free equipment from the company for missions and sign up for extra missions in the briefing room antechamber. Floor 51: This floor holds the SOLDIER Director's office. The office holds the Director's work station as well as a small library. The Director's floor is accessible at will by SOLDIER 1st Class members. Floor 59: A very mundane, open area that has two sets of elevators (one leading back down to the bottom floors, the other that allows access to the higher floors) and access to the staircase. From this floor on, special keycards are required to ascend the building. 60th floor: Floor 61: A break area made for Shinra employees. This floor features numerous tables and a large potted tree in the center of the room. Floor 62: The Midgar government offices and Shinra research library are located on this floor. The library is separated into four rooms each of which is categorized by one area of research committed by Shinra. Also, on this floor is a empty office that once belonged to Mayor Domino, once a powerless figurehead in the Midgar/Shinra structure. Floor 63: This is a storage area containing many rooms for storage purposes. Access to these rooms is done through a complex security process that allows a single person to enter. Floor 64: This is the Shinra company Recreational area. It includes a gym, locker room, showers, restrooms, and a rest area for employees. Floor 65: This floor is the headquarters of the Urban Development department. The major feature of this floor is the scale replica of Midgar. Floor 66: This floor contains the Shinra executive offices and conference room. Also of note, aside from Floor 64, it is the only other floor that has a restroom. Floor 67: This floor is the headquarters for Shinra's science department, many primary experiments for important studies, and some studies themselves, were carried out here. Several prison cells occupy the floor. There is also a specimen containment unit, which housed JENOVA's headless body, an office for data storage, and elevators for personnel and specimen transport. Floor 68: This floor houses the main laboratory of the science department. There is a specimen containment unit and a control room. Further more, access to floor 69 is only possible by passing through three security fields. Floor 69: This is yet another foyer area, and also an office space. Only the highest Shinra officials can gain access to this floor. Floor 70: The topmost floor of the Shinra building houses the personal office of the company president, President Rufus himself rules the city on the top floor.. It is decorated with red carpeting. There is an access door to an open air balcony that overlooks the city of Midgar. Rooftop: Forum Led by: Ethycs, Administrator |

Midgar: Plains A barren area outside Midgar. Zack was killed in this area by ShinRa soldiers when he and Cloud tried to escape from the basement of the Nibelheim Mansion after being experimented on. Zack's buster sword now marks the spot and Cloud often returns to this place. A silver wolf can sometimes be seen in the area, the spirit of Zack. Forum Led by: Ethycs, Administrator |
