  • Welcome to Dracanis

Before you is an RP once thought so powerful it had to be stopped...and then it was...and that's the story

But then we figured Hey, it's not over' and so we made this place from the ashes 6 servers after the mighty original. The old one still stands as a memory or what a stupid error can lead to when it comes to the wrong hands...Or the right ones.

This leads onto the storyline. Dracanis is a Final Fantasy based Roleplaying forum with Forums, RP and even its own fighting system that is more in depth than anything I have ever seen. And they only payed me enough to partially influence my saying of that...IT'S THAT GOOD

Now all new memberes are welcome as well as any old. Just follow the basic rules of common sense and you'll fit in fine because here at Drac we ban evil admins...and then replace them with ones too lazy to yell. If you're teetering on whether to join or not just have a talk in the forum for guests with our members and use that to make your choice all the more easier. Anyway thankyou for your time on reading this and I hope you choose to join this wonderful board. ~Draco

The air was heavy with a thick grey smog most likely being generated from the plate above the slums, where ever it was coming from it was here to stay. It was clear that whatever it was it wasn't to healthy as everyone around seemingly had some ailment related to breathing, there were people breathing heavily and others who couldn't finish a sentence without coughing atleast twice. It was a sorry sight to see how this place was in such a state and no one from "above" seemed to care, just aslong as they were making money out of it. Despite all of this the people seemed to be living in harmony with one another and just getting by the best they can, seemingly unaware of the poor conditions they were living in, either that or they just chose to ignore it.

A deep rusty sounding cough emerged from the smog and a black gloved hand swiped through it trying to clear it away revealing a tall hazy figure. The person began to walk forward through the smog looking around at the surrounding carnage, he continued to walk through the crowds. It was like most people didn't notice he was there, which was strange in its own right seeing as he looked so different from everyone else here and was probably the only person who could breath properly.

He continued his way through the smog until he finally stopped at the foot of a set of stairs infront of a small shack tucked away in the corner of this little area. He looked up at the sign and smirked before beging to ascend the stairs and pushing the door open and entering. Inside was a troubled looking scene, lit only by a small fireplace burning in the corner, it might be more welcoming if it wasn't a burning trash can. Huddled around it was a few poorly clothed people all coughing and splurting as they whispered about something.

The man didn't have any interest in them and so began to walk towards the door at the back of the room. He reached out and put his hand on it to open it when he was stopped by a voice from one of the men around the fire.

"What are you doing here?" Spoke one of the men.

The man turned round, his face now caught by the glare of the fire. He was a bald man with a small black goatie and was wearing an expensive looking set of sunglasses. He lowered the sunglasses slightly so the tops of his eyes could be seen as he look across at the man who had spoken to him.

"I'm looking for an old friend." Came his reply in a low almost whispered tone.

"Well theres no one in there that wants to see YOUR kind!" Growled one of the other men.

Now the three men had left the warmth of their fire and were now standing in a line all looking at the man laughing. The man didn't seem to threatened at all by the approaching men.

"Nice sunglasses...Boy!" Laughed one of the men.

The three men were right up to the man now and one of them reached up to take the glasses from his face. The stranger grabbed the guy by the hand and squeezed his fist hard causing the man to double over and squirm as he tried to break the bald mans grip.

"I know...And their mine." Smirked the bald man as he tightened his grip.

Again before anything else could happen another voice was heard, this time from the stair case.

"Rude...Let him go..." Came a laughing voice from the stairs.

Rude did so and let the mans hand go. As he did the three men quickly scurried back to the fire and huddled close together again, occasionaly giving dirty looks at the bald man. From the stair case descended an old looking man who was clearly one of the locals of this area, he was ravaged with age and from the looks of things was lucky to be alive. His face looked very frail and old, it was wrinkled and shaded. His eyes were barely open through the old eye lids. This man was clearly old, either that or time had been cruel to him. He walked towards Rude with his arms wide open, Rude did the same as the two men embraced in the middle of the room both smiling widely. As the old man stepped back he brushes Rudes shoulders laughing and smiling.

"What brings you here?" Wheezed the old man.

"I'm looking for Chelsea..." Replied Rude as he adjusted his glasses so they covered his eyes again.

"Rude...You have to realise you two can never be together...It's a lost cause...A kind of Romeo and Julliet situation." The old man sighed as he shook his head and turned around.

"Romeo and Julliet...Where do you think up these crazy saying?" Rude smirked.

"This is no laughing matter Rude...And besides you can't see her because..." The old man stopped as he reached the bottom of the stairs again.

    Rude took a step forward.

"Why not?" Rude called with a sound of concern in his voice.

"...It doesn't matter..." With that the man walked back up the stairs slowly.

Rude stood there for a few seconds pondering what the old man had said before heading towards the door he had entered in.

Delta had wandered the Midgar slums for a while now. She had an idea of what she was looking for, when she'd left her room on Edge, but now the idea was gone from her. At the moment, she was wandering blindly. Her eye patch was pulled on to the top of her head, eyes the same color for a change, as she'd managed to commandeer a contact that was the same color as her right eye, the ocean blue of it all too unique.

A few people glanced at her, dressed in her suit, but personalized. A pair of dress slacks, a white dress shirt unbuttoned to her collarbone and untucked. Her jacket was femininely cut, black matching her slacks. As for shoes, it was the normal. Nearly normal at least. Her boots, but not her hefty pair. Her white hair was nearly messy, but still full, as she was very close to using it as a veil. It would've been easier.

She was glanced at by a few people, almost as if they recognized her. Delta hoped they didn't, seeing as how she didn't know any of them. Some of the houses in the area sparked a few memories, but she wondered if her mother had taken her here as a child. Was she forgetting her childhood as she aged, or was the material injected into her effecting her in other ways? In memory? She didn't know, but she kept walking despite it.

She only carried a pistol, and was without armor. She hated armor...If she was to die, then so be it. That was how she viewed things. The few times that she had worn armor, she'd been shot or attacked in a way that would've proved a problem had she not.

A familiar face was suddenly coming out of a door in front of her, making her raise her eyebrows. Perhaps she wasn't the only one that had come from the Slums? She tilted her head slightly, watching him walk away. Delta didn't say anything at first, her behavior calm, as she usually was. She soon walked to catch up to him, hands in her pockets.

"Nice walk through the slums, is it not?" She knew how living here was, and she hated it. Even better yet, no one from up top even cared at all about the quality of life here. Delta dared herself to question if Rude was one of those that honestly didn't care what happened to the people here. She didn't think of it farther, instead walking with him with her hands tucked into her pockets, making a quiet companion for the moment.

    (sorry its short)

Rude looked down at Delta out of the corner of his eyes and through his sunglasses. It had been awhile since he had seen a familiar face, well a familiar Turks face. There were so many new recruits now he just couldn't remember them all. He welcomed the company of her with a flicker of a smile as she joined his side. There was a momment of silence between the two as they continued to walk through the desolated marketplace together. Unfortunatly they were begining to attract the attention of local hooligans, seeing as they were hated in these parts it was dangerous for Turks to venture down here alone.

"What brings you down here?" Rude asked Delta in his low almost wisper of a voice.

He was intrigued as to why she had come down here, and as to why she had decided to come alone. It was a rare event for the Turks to come down to the slums, but it was equally rare that two Turks would journey down here alone for seperate reasons. Reasons to which only they themselves understand.

Delta's hair flopped about, nearly hiding her face from Rude. She barely saw that flicker of a smile from him, though it made her grin slightly. The eyes of the people of the slums kept following them, and she knew they were unwelcomed. It was a slightly perturbing feeling, being so disliked for little to no reason. Well, there was reason, but they were judging by the cover of the book.

"What brings you down here?" He asked quietly, nearly whispering. Delta contemplated her answer. It was quite a coincidence that they were both here, both Turks, and both being watched.

She shrugged slightly, eyes drifting up to his sunglasses. They never seemed to leave his face. "Seeing if I recognize anything..." Delta had been told in a few meetings with her brother that her mother had been killed, with his own hands. She knew she wasn't alive, and there was no point fighting with Duke over that. Delta instead fought with him for simple reasons. She disliked him, he disliked her.

Delta rose her eyebrows. "And what might you be doing here? Haven't you heard the stories of what happens to unsuspecting Turks like ourselves being slaughtered and left for the dogs?" She said that slightly louder than she would've liked, catching the attention of a few people sitting at the side of the street, near buildings.

    (no worries.)

Rude was stumped for an answer to Deltas question, to be honest he wasn't to sure why he had come down here in the first place. He was continuing his stereotypical behaviour of saying little to nothing. He to had begun to notice the way to locals were begining to notice who they were and that they were Turks. Seeing as they were the only people dressed in suits they kind of stood out alot.

"I'm...Looking for an old friend." Again Rude smirked at his answer.

From the corner of his eye he noticed a group of locals had gathered and from what he could tell, they had noticed the two Turks and were talking about them. From out of no where one of the small groups waves the finger at them and shouts some profound words to the two of them. Rude laughes under his breath before adjusting his gloves.

Rude simply responded to the mans gesture with a sarcastic nod, never stopping walking. He found it funny how everyone in Midgar judged eachother. He could understand why he was hated, he wasn't to innocent himself, but it made him laugh to see how people reacted when they saw him. He was borderline famous around these parts.

"I know perfectly well what happens to our kind down here...But I also know what happens to their kind...Its a lose lose situation if you ask me."

Delta nodded to his answer, deciding not to force any answer out of him. As long as he didn't try and get any answers out of her, they'd be fine. She figured, well assumed, that he might've already known her story, and perhaps it wasn't such a big deal for anyone. Was being experimented on like she was considered normal with Shinra? Her eyebrows knit together, her eyes instantly drawn to the group of locals jeering and throwing fingers at them.

The girl rolled her eyes. She would've returned the gesture, had it not been for the fact that she was from somewhere down here, and she might've known them and not realized it. She sighed slightly, listening to him once more. "I know perfectly well what happens to our kind down here...But I also know what happens to their kind...Its a lose lose situation if you ask me." She didn't say anything, or make any notion as to what he said. She thought about it for a few moments, biting her lip.

She toyed with her tongue barbell for a few moments, arms crossed under her bust as she kept walking. "It's wonderful how they treat you differently even if you were one of them, or came from the same life that they're living now." Delta sighed slightly, finding something had been thrown at her from some direction.

Her eyebrows instantly knit together, as she stopped walking. "What's the point in throwing things at a possible old friend?" Delta focused on the piece of trash that had been thrown in her direction, as it soon rose from where it was, floating through the air until it found a haven in a trash can. She soon walked more with Rude, ignoring what had just happened.

A swarm of bats flew around Midgar, homing in on the two turks, it sighted them, and the swarm descended around them, circling them several times over, all the bats shrieking, finally they began to land a few feet in front of them, all melding together to form one being.

The now one being had red hair, with a dark blue coat with rips in his upper arms and shoulders, and grey pants with rips around his knees. His chest remain bare as four gashes appeared, each bleeding, his hands had holes in the center, pierced like Christ's as they too began to bleed.

Ravenous sighted Sephiren looking at the two turks infront of him. But he paid him no mind, he turned to the two turks infront of him.

"So, Ravenous started, "What could you two be doing in the slums?"He inquired, smirking at the turks.

Rude felt strange for a momment after Delta asked her question. It was making him think and almost want to find the answers himself. Deciding to resort back to his old ways he said nothing but instead continued to walk. The two must have walked for miles now or atlesat it felt like they had walked a long way. And still they were attracting more attention.

Rudes attention was stolen away by the sight of a large black cloud like formation moving through the skies. He frowned and glared at it through the darkness of his sunglasses. This was strange, it was normal to see clouds of smog in slums but not one that consistant and it seemed to have a direction...It was heading for them. Before he knew it the strange cloud had surrounded them and was now clear it wasn't a cloud it was a swarm. The bats circled around them nipping and scratching at them, Rude held his arms up infront of his face trying to protect himself, he assumed Delta could look after herself.

Eventually the swarm came a sudden hault before fusing together to form what looked to be human, by the looks of it this one wasn't your normal human. Rude did what he felt was best and stepped towards it pushing Delta behind him. He hadn't even though that these two might know eachother he was just doing what he thought was right.

"What could you two be doing in the slums?" smirked the bleeding man.

Rude had noticed the way this stranger was bleeding out of seemingly every part of his body. But like always, he chose to say nothing and instead clenched his fists by his side cracking his knuckles with his thumbs. He had no idea what was going on, this was the strangest thing he had seen in the slums since him and Reno fought that giant dog kennel thing all those years ago.

(ooc: oh yeah reference to the game, I rock!)

She loved having the company of someone that decided to remain silent other than chattering her leg off or being obsessed with her. The more attention they attracted though, the less that she wanted to be here. Her eyes caught sight of a building that looked far too familiar, almost like she could've seen herself living there. Her attention was distracted though, by a sudden cloud. With it were shrieks, which didn't make sense. Her ears also caught another sound, a sound of a motorcycle. Perhaps Sephiren?

Dark clouds such as this were normal, but not moving at such a high speed...Her thoughts were directed to one individual. Ravenous. That blasted man, if you could even call him that, he asked for so many damned dates from her, and no matter what, she would turn him into a puddle, whatever, he still asked again. The swarm soon surrounded Rude and herself, as she was occasionally slapped by the wing of a bat, or bitten or scratched. She raised the edge of her suit jacket to hide her face from the animals, and soon it condensed into one form. Ravenous.

Rude apparently didn't know him, stepping forward to guard her from him. She would've applauded him for good senses, but she chose not to. "What could you two be doing in the slums?" Delta didn't say anything, like Rude, her hand reaching up her undershirt where her gun lay hidden, on a harness around her waist. She made sure it was full of rounds, before deciding to answer. Rude surely wasn't going to answer.

"Taking a walk along memory lane." Delta smiled bittersweetly, her voice sarcastic. She stepped sideways behind Rude, so she could see him properly, and give her a decent aim if she chose to shoot him. It wasn't as if it would kill him anyways, seeing as how she wasn't equipped with her favorite ammo for this beast.
