*ahem*

There are a lot more members on here that are G Fans. While not as much a devoted fan as in the past, I still visit the kaiju forums.

Members I know that watch the films:

Seer235
CosmicJoker (DarkChemical)
Original Sin
hibbe

There are probably others.

Bull. There are plenty of fans that like that travesty, whether we like it or not. I've encountered my fare share of them.

The '98 film doesn't count cause it wasn't really Godzilla and the cartoon based on that one while entertaining at times just didn't feel Godzilla. The old cartoon was just great though. What ever you like you like just so long as the real Godzilla is Number 1 on this list .

See, you like it as an monster flick, not a true Godzilla flick. Theres a diffrence.

There's nothing wrong with liking G98. Of course it wasn't a real Godzilla film, or anything close to it, but you know, being a fan of something that most people would laugh at should make you a little more accepting of what other people like, no matter how much you hate them.

That doesn't mean Gino should EVER be called Godzilla, though.

No...I liked it as a Godzilla Flick. I found it refreshing from those cheesey men in suits SFX and such.

Eh, I guess you have a point with that. The man in suit did get kinda old but that was the charm of Godzilla the fact it was so bad that it made the movies so grand. But seeing the '98 one just didn't feel right. But it was ok I guess.

Bullshit. Suitmation is a technique commonly used in creature effects in Hollywood. Stan Winston, Patrick Tautopolous, Rick Baker, Rob Bottin, and others are examples of legends in that field, and today suits are still used.

Oh, and BTW: Tautopolous created several suits for GINO, which did get used. Yes, even the American Godzilla was a man-in-a-rubber-suit in several scenes.

GINO=Godzilla?

Ive seen giant inflatable car dealership balloons that were less of a kick in the balls then GINO was. angry.gif

Lets also add in that the Devlin and Emmerich weren't even fans (Not to mention stuck up assholes). And took out everything that makes Godzilla; Godzilla.

Well, I've enjoyed all the Godzilla movies I've seen. Though there was far too much plot between monster fights. But I also liked the '98 american Godzilla move. (Gasupu! Did he call the 98 movie a godzilla movie!?) Yeah. Yeah I did. Because it was. The first Godzilla movie had one monster destroying one city.

The 98 movie had one monster destroying one city. Same thing slightly different take.

Now I feel like I said or did something wrong. Oh well, it was an ok movie if people liked it they liked it if not oh well to me it felt more like a cross between King Kong and Jurassic Park then Godzilla but thats just me and well I still like it but I like the classics better.
