Since the old Pre-Game Cheering Section thread is now out of date, it behooves us to start a new one for the game in-progress. And because I'm all about spreading goodwill and general feelings of warmth and fuzzitude wherever I go. Yeah. That's it. *nodnod*

What can I say that hasn't already been expressed elsewhere far more eloquently? Things appear to be off to a truly propitious start, and I would wear my poor, overworked fingers down to the knuckles trying to offer up credit in all the places it is due. So I will simply express my overall state of amazement with the quality of the characterization that has appeared throughout the board to date.

But, because this is kind of a cop-out, and because there have been a couple of things that have especially tickled my fancy (yes, I do have a fancy, and it is rather on the ticklish side), I would like to heap extra special praise on Ali and Bobby. Ali, because she is ever, invariably, and in all ways the coolness, and Bobby because he is so loveably spastic and so very, very Bobby.

More to come, as I strive to regain some measure of coherency. happy.gif

Man.... not that I'm way behind or anything...

...except that I am.

Anyway, must offer huge rounds of applause to the three peeps in the kitchen for their awesomeness, since I haven't said that yet. You all three know your characters, and I do like the way they interact.

Oh... and Kate? Bobby = hilarity itself. AWESOME.

And... massive love for Warren in the foyer - poor, sweet, clueless Warren. He's perfect.

First off, shame on you all for not making more use of this forum... because you all rock.

Yes, that's right, you suck, because you rock.

I'm allowed not to make sense, I'm the goat-eating overtyrant.....

Anyway, had to shower praise on Susan for the Rogue posts tonight, because they're just so right. Rogue's a funny one, and Ultimate Rogue is even funnier than normal, but you've got her down. And remain pretty much the only person I've ever seen do that. So major gun-toting love for you guys!

*vows to make better use of this forum*

There are a lot of good threads going on here right now. In Sink Wars I really love the interaction between Ali and Kitty. Laura is doing a great job with Kitty in my opinion and seems to be very much in the voice of Ultimate!Kitty. And Ali, well-Reenie, that's one of my favorite characters that you have. She's great fun.

All of the battle scenes are really good too.

My only complaint (which is more of a weird kind of compliment) is that I want to see MORE!

*is slack herself*

Have to say though, that Peter and Kitty and their conversation are amusing me greatly.

and what's more, Ed, I absolutely adore your Logan. In a gruff, tough, masculine way, of course. But he's everything that I love about Ultimate Logan, and none of the things that grate on me about a whole lot of Logans.

He's just the epitome of growly stabbing cool. Which is awesome.

Man, Reed is just great fun to...read.

Thanks for the compliments. I tuck them away and put them in a scrapbook so that whenever I wonder what the hell I'm doing here I can recall that sometimes people appreciate it.

Not sure why that's important...but we all know it is.

So the infirmary thread post mission is just priceless. If you haven't read it yet, people, go and read it now...

That's the sort of specificity I require if I'm to do anything for you."

so much love for that, Scrapper. Wow.

Agreed. Oh god.

Warren is going to drop dead of asphyxiation when he gets to his bathroom, but still hehehehehe. Prepare for mortifying specificity!

Much appreciation for the kudos! Although now I have the unwelcome pressure of having set the bar far too high for my mean abilities to sustain. happy.gif

And while I'm hear, I want to lavish praise upon Rhys and Beth for their tete-a-tete between Xavier and Fury! It is a thing of beauty, indeed. So many bald, shiny heads and all that delightful posturing. Splendid stuff!

Oh man...I just finished reading it and it's priceless. Bobby is perfect. The mess in the bathroom is always a favorite of mine. Wait, that came out wrong.

But it had me laughing very hard.

So much love for that last Fury post, Beth! I defy you to tell me that you have no muse now! Defy, I say! *is scary*

Also, much love for our new Black Cat and Daredevil - you're both beyond excellent, and they're perfect. Can't wait for more.

Well, I was kinda drunk, so... clearly I need to drink more when posting Fury! Yes! wink.gif

I just wanna say how much I've loved the threads with Ben. The soldiers have been hilariously NPC'd and poor, poor Reed. Being called a chicken. Sounds like a flashback to elementary school for him. wink.gif Good show all around with the boys.

Oh and the So Low thread-- love it. Ab fab guys. Gwen and Peter were so... themselves. They just kind of worked. And MJ's response was just perfect. Major props all around. happy.gif

Whoo, boy. So many kudos to dispense, I hardly know where to begin. However, not even the certainty that I'm going to miss something is enough to dissuade me from this stern obligation!

Yes. The awesome obligates me. It's a natural fact.

First, to Ali and Ororo, for their thread in the kitchen. There's just so much sheer character in that thread that it makes me want to do a happy little jig of celebration. Superlative stuff.

Next, Reed and Ben and various drunken NPC!soldiers in the Baxter Building. That's just Good Times, that is. No better way to describe it. Or, at least, none that I can think of at this particular moment in time.

And to Spidey and Black Cat, for their unique . . . interaction. It's delightful. Also, I completely sympathize with Peter; Felicia's bosom is a Very Intimidating thing.

Finally (for the purposes of this post), madcrazylove for the duel of the badasses in the Fury/Logan thread. I can't get enough of Beth's Fury, and he seems to play so nicely off Wolverine. Such joy that interchange brings me. Such joy.

Really, you people are all too accomplished for your own good. I'm going to be developing a complex here shortly, I think.
