Trying to Study, but can't. Gah!

Ellie walked into the school library in what seemed like forever. The summer had been long and stressful on her fragile body and mind. She sighed as she glanced at the handful of books she was carrying. Brushing up on some studying was what she was planning to do for now. It seemed like she had lost some of her knowledge over the summer too. She couldn’t even remember how to perform the Avis spell and that was bad. Ellie was always worrying about everything and that was something she hated about herself. It was like she could never take a break on anything.

She walked over to a large table in the center of the room. She waved to the librarian as she sat down. She didn’t really know her although the woman always smiled and waved at Ellie whenever she arrived into the library, she wondered why, was it pity? Shaking the thought away, she opened up a large spell book. This was really just a review of her fourth year. Five long minutes passed and finally she couldn’t take it anymore. She slammed the cover closed and growled to herself. Why couldn’t she concentrate? Why couldn’t she just study? For the time she was reading the book, she had read the same exact sentence seven times, not knowing that she was doing it. Ellie pushed the book away from her and set her head on her hand, sulking.

Riyn's head shot up as he heard a loud "thud" from nearby. He had been trying to read up about something in Divination, which of course was the most confusing, ununderstandable subject that ever appeared on the planet. He spotted a girl sitting a few feet away from him, she seemed to be upset about something as she pushed her large textbook away from her. He sighed, this was getting pretty boring, he wasn't the type to study anyway, the only reason he was here was because his teacher had forced him to stay in the library, due to his low test score last week. He wondered why it mattered so much to her what he got on a test, he was rich anyway, he could quit school and live off his parent's money for he cared.
Riyn set his divination book down and stood up, approaching the unfamiliar girl. " Mind if I join you?" he asked with a slight smile.

Ellie looked up from the table at the boy that had just appeared. She tilted her head and stared for a second. Wah! He's so handsome... The girl nodded her head, slowly and bit her lip. Her face was burning as she sat there, knowing that she was probably acting very stupid. Why did she always act so awkward around people?

It was a wonder to her, and something that she despised very much. However, she put up the best smile she could conjure up.

Studying so often had really began to get on her nerves. The girl pointed to a seat across from her, with the fragile smile still on ehr face.
