The sun was now barely setting over the lands of Dead Tree, though you would hardly be able to tell. The clouds over-head were so thick, and so dark, that it was hard to tell whether it was day or night. There were no bird in the sky, for none wished to fly in the thunderous weather this day had brought forth. Only a few deer scattered here and there could be seen. No rain would come, though some wished it would soon than later, but never had it. The winds had reahed a good twenty-five mile speeds, and the tempurature was now almost 30°F, which wasn't all too unexpected for this time of year. Fall's harvest were always a fun time of year, but winter pleased some more than others. Summer's ending was now official, and everyone would son realize how much Lakotai longed and lived for the Fall and Winter season...

Lush moss covered a fallen log, who's brown bark was now chipping away slowly with the times. Lakotai walked steadily atop it's large barrel-like form, almost knocking himself completely over because of a root. The root seemed to have jumped out at him, trying to startle him, which worked. He jumped off the log, and walked around to it's front, finding it to be hollow. Hollow longs were his favorite to play in, especially when their length was great. And this log happened to be a goot fourty feet long. Lakotai was about ready too fall over from excitement, though he was able to withhold himself.

The surrounding lands were dead, even after Lakotai became board with the log. He did, however, have a good time. But if only he could have sharred that with someone else. His long tail flashed slowly back and fourth, white visage visible through even the darkest, dankest areas of the Ba Bar region. As he became board with the free time given to him by nature alone, he soon foundhimself both tired and hungry. The sleep he could hold off on for some food, but where would he be able to find anything to eat. It had been days since his lat meal, and he was starting to loose a bit of weight, though he was pretty thin to begin with. Crystal clear, sapphire chasms shone rather dimly with the poorly lit sky. They scanned over the lands with ease, searching for nothing preticular. Finding nothing of interest, he decided to skip the meal and head straight for a nap. He chose the log as his den for the night, finding nothing interesting about it anymore.

Autumn leaves were scattered all around the forest floor, the multicoloured shades of red, orange and yellow littered the environment, lighting up the whole image. Dainty pawsteps tread upon the quiet scene, her soft steps gently rustling the leaves beneath her which cushioned her paws from the hard earth beneath. Slender bodice gracefully wound its way through the foliage, long limbs working rhythmically with her gentle pace.

Soft, gentle gaze scanned the atmosphere as she flexed her limbs, her taut muscles rippling smoothly under her silken sheen. Sunlight played upon her lustrous coat, creating dapples across her fur as the trees blocked parts of the sun from warming her. I wonder where everyone is. She thought silently to herself, vivacious amber eyes lighting up as she saw a single pawprint upon a muddy patch. Her tail waving gently from one side to another, she trotted delicately towards the patch, lowering her elegant apex to take a sniff at the print. Realizing the scent leads to somewhere in the foliage, she traced the ground with her slim muzzle, attempting to find the owner of the pawprint.

Since there was no borderland at the borders of the packland, she just came to this area to seek the alpha, in attempt to join a pack. But there weren't any wolves here, and she had come across this sole scent that resided in only one part of the packland. Of course she was elated, for she had no company except the wilderness of the forest. More spirited now, she loped as she traced the scent, going closer and closer to the log which the wolf slept in.

Finally reaching her destination, she did not know the wolf was here until her wet nose touched the edge of the log, yelping slightly at the brittle surface of the plant. Curious, she pricked her ears towards the object, peering inside with inquisitive eyes as she finally saw what she was looking for. The sleeping brute.

Not yet knowing of the sun's appearing upon the lands, the brute still lie asleep, not wishing to move for another good hour or so. But when the vixen's soft yelp was sounded a meer three feet at the most from him, he startled awake with displeasure. As his eye adjusted to the newly found rays of light, he soon could see the clear image of a fae, or at least the bottom half of her.

Crystal sapphire chasms blinked, not sure if what they saw was real... but it was. Not really wanting to started her in return, he drept forward a few paces, belly of pure white fur rubbing against the moist moss, which turned his fur to a light, emerald, pastel green. Stopping, he gazed once more at the slender form that stood in front of him now, almost eye-to-eye with her. Being a dareful wolf that he was, he decided to speek instead of linger to it's factor, where it might be to late for conversation, and the fae just lost interest in him.

Hello, he spoke simpley, his strangely soft, soothing tone of voice echoing lightly through the air. He finally emerged into full view of the female, showing his strange markings of sapphire gold. In his left ear resided three earings that somehow connected with the other, and were made of gold sapphire. Body, aside from his tail and ear were comletely white, with no strange markings or what not. His tail contained a single braclet that was position closest to his body where his tail and tailbone connected. As you went down his tail, towards its tip, you could find nothing but strange strings that bound together at the exact tip. These strings were atctually chain-like material, and the entire object was made of gold sapphire. He recliened upon rather muscular, yet silken, haunches, yawning once or twice from his awakening from slumber.

Without waiting for a reply, he repeated himself. Hello, m'lady. My name is Lakotai. Do you acquire a name you can tell, or no? One could always tell by the tone and speach that exited his muzzle, that he was pure at heart, and polite in spirits. He had always been this way, for his mother tought him this. Her teachings had never left his mind, even as she passed away without any explanation to why. He peered blankly at the female, locking contact with her amber chasms and his own. For a breif second, nothing else was there but her, and when his gaze drifted, that moment was lost forever more to meer memory for him.

Noticing the brute creeping out of his domain, she backed away a few paces. Partly she did this to give him space to crawl out, and partly she was quite wary and mistrustful of him. It wasn't his fault though, for from listening to his tone of voice, he was quite a gentleman; polite and kind. Her amber gaze traced his strong figure, noting his muscular features and his sleek fur. He's rather a looker. She thought wryly, exquisite amber eyes meeting his gaze boldly.

She also noticed the chains and assortments covered his form decoratively, though she has no liking for these bangles and bracelets. Her own bodice was uncovered, showing her silken fur and her streamlined figure; her slim and delicate muzzle, twin amber eyes displaying her dainty and timid demeanour. Her fur settled against her sinewy muscles, presenting her long limbs and her slender frame. She was coloured like a true Red Wolf, the upper part of her coloured brilliantly in maroon; a reddish brown. And a thick black line separated the lower bit of her bodice, which is shaded in white.

She didn't look so bad overall, but she wasn't considered one of the most beautiful wolfess either. Well, so she thinks. Her intense gaze locked onto the bruten's, watching him, observing his eyes, and liking what she saw, before answering his questions. Well nice to meet you my friend. My name is called Acratia Noctule. Normally not dubbing foreign wolves' as "my friend", she has a liking to this wolf, he didn’t look too hostile to her.

Pausing for a moment, her soft, gentle tone rang through the air again. May I ask you if you have come across the alpha of this terrain? Pulling her ears forward, she dipped her slim muzzle towards him, her amber eyes still on his.

As the vixen stranger became mor and more clear in his vision, he began to see her delecate festures, theough tere were few. Unlike she though, she was quite attrative, and held a beautfy far beyond looks. He had seen her for a moments time, yet new there was a strange bond-like transfer between. Maybe it was because she was his first, real living encounterment upon his new home, or maybe it was a strange, gut feeling.

Snapping out of his daydream like trance, he recounted her words. Acratia Noctule... What a beautiful name for such a wolf who's complextion equals it he though as he continued to creep from his lumbering place. Once completely out, he stretched his rather long legs, tail swaging side to side. As he watched her look over his tinkets with a somewhat unsatified look, he stopped straching.

"To answer your question" he began, now recliening upon muscular haunches, "I have not yet met, or even seen the Alpha of these lands." He yawned once, exhailing an ubundant amount of air for one of his size. A pause came over them, as the wind completely stopped blowing, and their speach ended. Lakotai looked the female over once again, finding everything to be as strangely magnificant as the time before. He wasn't sure what she though of him, but he hoped it was almost as good as what he though of her.

He looked straight into her amber gaze, locking eyes as he started to speak once more. "I saw you eyeing the trinkets I have upon me... I myself do not like the ones that cover my tail, but the earings I an handle." He ended with a grin, one so bold as himself would do so. But what he was grining at, he himself didn't even know.

A slight blush crept up to her cheeks as he caught her looking at his trinkets. Ignoring his reply to her question, she asked herself. What does it matter if there isn't any alpha around this area? Someone's here with me now. Not knowing why she was thinking that way, her features heated up, though for a different reason. Avoiding his gaze demurely, a gentle smile spread across her slender muzzle in reply to his. Dainty pads shifted forward, her slender features stirred towards him, displaying her relaxation with the bruten.

I'm sorry I was so rude. Trickle of laughter escaped her slim jowls as she gave him a soft look. Trying to cover her embarrassment, she pulled her delicate peaks forth; exquisite occuli gazed at him gently, the smile still lingered on her maw. Silken tail swished over slender haunches, wondering what she should say to continue this conversation, for she didn't want him to leave.

So long how have you been dwelling here? For if there is no alpha, can't be any pack. She paused, her shoulders flexed as she continued. Did you come here to seek a pack to join? Curiosity stirred from within her. She wanted to know him.

His gaze never left hers, and he was rather intrigued that it didn't. He normally lost interest in something quite easily, but for the first tijme he was able to feel welme, relazed, and enlightened all at the same time, which was what was keeping his attention. Such a beauty to be wondering alone he though at random, cocking his head to one side for a moment, then returning it to it's original positon.

"M'lady, Acratia Noctule, do not think you were inposing rudeness wiht your stares. As I stated before, I disapprove of them myself. I didn't wish for them, they were given to me by force through a wierd spell that a witch-doctor many moons ago cast upon me. It's a long story short." Frolicing siled danced upon him gleefully. Paws shifted slightly, and his position began to look more relazed. His idea of a god time never had been to talk with someone you had kn own for no omre than five minutes, but it was fun. This 'flirting' game the two of them were playing amuzed him as much as her, and he could tell by her actions and smile that she was feeling the same as him: happy and unwilling to leave.

"I myself have been here several moons at the most. Strange lthese lands are, but beautiful. As for the pack and alpha, I am sure there is one, but someone totally opposite of where our location is, most likely. How long has thee been part of these lands?" He paused, thinking of whtat to say next, then continued, "This area here is the only flats you'l fine for miles, which makes it great." It was rando, yet, but something to keep their conversation going a bit longer.

Dipping her slender apex in a sign of apology, she continued to gaze at him gently with her exquisite gaze. She had never seen such a complexity in a wolf before. He was mysterious, bold and firm at the same time. It enticed her and made her heart beat more furiously. Since she traveled as a loner for many suns, she hadn’t been able to hold a relaxed and quiet conversation before, much less been charmed by a male. Sounds like an interesting story. She remarked, a little sarcasm in her voice though.

My dam mated to a bruten then ditched him and went for another. She murmured darkly, her gentle gaze casting downwards as she continued. I left a year afterwards, then came here to seek a pack. She paused, taking a glance at him before answering to this question. Well, I haven’t been upon these lands for long... I have just arrived.

Her eyes lingered on him for a moment, before turning her gaze towards the open plains that stretched before them. Her heart heavy by the recollection of her memory, she was cast speechless by a lump in her throat. Pulling her peaks against her apex so it rested against her sheen, she was silent as she gazed at her paws.

If only the two could read minds, they would wonder what had suddenly brought them together, but if was mystery itself that brought them closer to one another than anyone else they ahd come across. He gave a short surpt of laughter mized with a sigh. "Actually, it isn't, though I know you are just kidding. More pain comes from thinking about it rather than actually done." His crystal, sapphire chasms glanced spontaniously about her still, though he was intrugued most when looking at her eyes. Their uncertainty and mysterious lore kept him still.

"I am sorry to hear that..." he stated, his grin revealing itself less and less as he though of his own parents. "To leave must have been a hard desicion for you to make. I myself lost both parents. One to disease, then other of age. My sister is the only one still alive, besides me, and I haven't seen her in almost a year's time." He sighed, wishing there was some way he could see her again, but knew it would never happen.

His gaze followed hers to the wide, open plains. There weren't many places you could go that was this open and free. Very few trees would be seen, but the ones that could were enormous beyon measures. This land he had wondered upon by mistake was more beautiul than any he had ever seen, and his sharing the moments that passed with a wolfess he though as beautiful as the land made it even better.

God... I’m so sorry Lakotai... She whispered, the maroon sheen of the setting sunlight casting patterns and colours upon her silken coat.

Her heart lurched with both passion and sympathy for the wolf. Gazing up at him, she wondered if their meeting which brought them together was by chance or something else. She paused, as a tentative paw delicately touched the ground as she padded before him, reaching out with her slender apex and gave him a nuzzle upon the curve of his neck. But instead of taking her muzzle away from his ivorn sheen, she paused it there for a split moment, breathing in his scent and relishing his warmth before settling back to her position, except that she was much closer and her heart was beating furiously against her cage.

Not wanting sympothy for something that happened long ago he spoke. "Please, do not sympothize for the past. It happened years ago, and I find it easier to think of it as good instead of bad." He pasued, then comtinued in a softer voice. "It taught me how to take control of like instead of letting it control me..." His voice trailed off as his gaze focusd on the open valley. As the sun set even further over the horizon, the moon now folllowed behind it, revieling the wonderous starts. The overcasted clouds had moved a bit more, but the tempurature had dropped a few degrees.

As his attention strayed, he was surprised to turn back and find the vixen next to him, but he enjoyed it. Was this meeting coincident or fate? he pondered to himself, taking in her sent as she stood there. Watching her return to her spot, he gave a soft smile. "What was that for?" he asked in soft spoken words. They were both soothing, yet confused, both present as he spoke. His crystal chasms stared at her, locking with her own.
