PESTILENCE DISCUSSION THREAD, cyclops' team

In order to avoid confusion and things getting lost, rather than have one planning thread for four missions, we'll splitting them up for the time being. So please continuing discussing anything pertaining to Pestilence attack on Moscow here.

KEEP IN MIND! Horsemen have telepathic defenses. Pestilence's army is dual, consisting of converts who are ALIVE, and those who are the undead.

IF YOU WANT YOUR CHARACTER TO BECOME A CONVERT AND TAKE PART IN THE -FINAL- BATTLE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE, LET US KNOW. IT'S NOT PERMANENT.

I offer up a few of Jamie's dupes to be converted at the end. It's possible considering they always have the possibility to become their own person. =3 If that helps any, I can give um... (counts) ...five, depending on how many Jamie gets out and in what amount of time. <3

I haven't decided yet if I want Amara converted. HOW is one converted?

But Rogue's definitely gonna get herself converted, which should be all kinds of interesting.

Ain't it great? xD I mean, that's a personal side effect of having Multiple Man running around like mad. He he. The dupes are gonna be awesome though because they have so many skills it's insane.

Watching them get converted is gonna be hard on Jamie, and then watching Rogue get converted and a few others is gonna be like "Oh dear God...why me?".

Say what?!

Oh man... that is sooo gonna tick Remy off... I am just relieved there are actual dead zombie-like people to take that anger out on *pictures pieces of flesh flying everywhere*.

Okay, gross, but yeah... seeing his fellow Southerner converted will be devastating for Gambit too. Shall Jamie and Remy kick some zombie butt together, AJ? LOL.

I don't see why not. xD Usually we have Colossus and Gambit kicking butt together but yeah, Jamie's up for some serious smack down. ^^

On second thought, the conversion might not be happening in the end lol. There's no way Rogue woud submit herself so easily. She's far too strong willed, and would fight tooth and nail before that happens. She'd probably also stay well away from the infected and avoid accidental touching, cause the combined diseases would kill her for sure. So no need to panic Gambit and Jamie can totally still go in and do some butt-kicking though.

I had a genius idea Gina. Since when the dupes die it's rather traumatic on Jamie, I'm thinking that after the dupe dies in New York, and then the Brotherhood dupe dies, when he gets all the shock he's going to pass out. She can touch him at that point and take his ability to use if she so wishes. =3 It would be interesting to see her do it. xD

Oh yeah, that could definitely be interesting. No wonder Jamie would pass out when his dupes are dying everywhere. And if the group manages to get themselves into a tight spot, maybe she could take the initiative and drain him for a couple of seconds. But then, once his powers fade, what would happen to her dupes? Would they fade too, or continue existing?

There was an issue of X-Factor where these mutant concentration camp guards managed to use a power inhibitor on Jamie. When they activated it and his power disappeared the dupes just reabsorbed into Jamie against their/his will, so they weren't there. However if a dupe is more than a few miles away they obviously won't be reabsorbed. (nods) Also, if Rogue were to get knocked out in the process of having her own dupes out then they would get knocked out as well. It's a lot of theory, but that's how I understood it. Makes me wanna add more information to the application. xD

EDIT! The prime doesn't have to be touching the dupe to reabsorb him as long as he's within thirty to fifty feet (or within sight).

Except Rogue doesn't have a power inhibitor lol. She's just gonna have to make sure they don't get too far away methinks x___X

Yeah. The more she splits off the more chaotic it risks getting. She has to have a hold of the dupes through the small telepathic link that develops to let her have control. Naturally that opens her up to telepathic assault...

Anyway. If she gets knocked out or if she loses the power after absorbing it (meaning her time runs out) then the dupes will just reabsorb themselves into her. Oh, and by the way, when and if she touches Jamie she'll get not just his memories but the memory of every dupe that has ever been out. Including the memories that he has hidden away that he hasn't gone through yet.

Can anyone say information overload? O.o

Definitely x___X Plus she hasn't got Jamie's special suit, so she has to be careful about knocking herself around or else there'll be hundreds of her lol.

Maybe the best way around it woud be to have her knocked out at some point? But we'll see how the thread progresses. And good point about the memories too. At that rate, adding him and al his dupes that have ever existed into her psyche which is chaotic enough all by itself, she might well have a mental meltdown of some kind ack.
