Four years after Alcatraz Island, effects of the mutant cure have worn off and the X-Men are leading something close to a normal life – Xavier has returned and his dreams of tolerance towards mutantkind no longer seem distant. Scattered after Magneto’s depowerment, the Brotherhood have only recently been rebuilt under the guidance of Mystique, their attitude towards mutant superiority stronger than ever. Yet even a careful balance can never be held for long, and not all humans are quite so accepting. Those with the utmost faith will prove to be homo superior's greatest detractors.

Entrance and Garage
Xavier’s residence is surrounded by the best protection that money can buy. A stone wall is set at the end of an extended driveway and runs around the estate’s perimeter, while a titanium gate allows access into and out of the manor itself. Authorised personnel are detected by long-range sensors, although visitors must be identified via the intercom fitted to the gate in order to enter. Close by, the garage holds the cars and motorbikes of the adult residents, and mechanical repairs are conducted within. Heading westward, one can enjoy the beautiful gardens tended to by Storm. It also serves as a lovely park, with open areas of green to sit underneath a tree and read.

A gym equipped with state-of-the-art apparatus is also located in this part of the school, and it’s open to everyone who wishes or has to work out.

With many hanging cabinets packed with snack food, sodas and tea, but also a huge well-stocked fridge, someone can be always found raiding the kitchen, or simply complaining about their ice-cream being stolen. For those who wish to make their own food, oven and various cooking devices are available. On the other hand, those who cannot be bothered will find that the kitchen leads directly into a dining room which is spacious enough for the entire school to dine together, eating meals prepared by the hired staff.

Located on the second floor of Xavier's manor, the west wing of dormitories is lined up for adults -- staff, X-Men, and guests. Unlike the student rooms, these chambers are complete with a bathroom and a larger living area, and can be shared by couples.

The upper-eastern area of Xavier's mansion is reserved for students and young guests. The humble yet comfortable quarters are generally arranged for doubles and triples, since it's custom for students to have roommates. The rooms are without bathrooms, but there are large separate bathrooms for male and female students in this wing.

A basement unlike any other, X-mansion's secret underground level is accessed through a passcode not granted to everyone at the school. There is a placement cell here for captured beings, the Danger Room - a simulation computer; the War Room - briefing and coordinates area with a holographic map; the locker rooms for the X-Men, the med-lab and laboratories set for medical staff to treat injured, but also to conduct many different experiments, as well as Cerebro at the end of the hall.

Beauty of the estate and the interactions it provides often lure the residents to explore the grounds. Heading back around the mansion, eastern path leads towards the stable housing number of well-kept horses, as well as vast meadowy area for horseback riding. Backyard itself, however, is where children could often be seen at play; basketball courts, swimming pools and other means of recreation have been set out here. Continuing further along that path, one would reach a scenic Breakstone Lake, and a small boathouse perched along the bank of it. Forestial belt lines the ground's periphery, offering a measure of privacy, but also allowing mutants to enjoy wilderness.

The Brotherhood’s base of operations is located in downtown Chelsea, on the lower west side of NYC. It looks like nothing more than a large, red brick warehouse to oblivious passers-by; a square and symmetrical building with straight lines of tall, arched windows on both floors. However, it’s obvious that the property has fallen into some considerable disrepair in recent years. The surrounding is overgrown with tangles of weeds and the front gate is swinging off its hinges. Several of the windows are boarded up from outside view, and a smattering of tiles are missing from the roof.

Living Area
Not the homeliest place in the world by any means, this central room on the ground floor of the Brotherhood residence is barely large enough to hold all members of the organisation combined. Flowery wallpaper hailing from several decades ago is beginning to curl at the edges and rising damp is visibly seeping its way upwards through the wooden floor, soaking through the threadbare carpet. A few velvet-lined armchairs with bulging padding and exposed springs are scattered around a central coffee table, while a disused fireplace is set into one wall for ornamental value, long replaced by the bare lightbulb hanging from the middle of the ceiling.

This is a meeting hall in the Brotherhood's HQ. It contains a long metal table, suitably matched with metal chairs. Mystique's "throne" sits at the head of the table, where she conducts her business amongst her fellow mutants who follow her credo.

On one side of the room lies a steel desk with very little on it. Only those Mystique has private business with see the interior of this office, as well as her trusted henchmen. On the other side of the room, there stands a long flat-board bed, with crimson velvet wrapping its top.

The long hall stretches out long and wide, with doors on either side. They lead to quaint chambers, each designed specifically for each member of the Brotherhood. At the end of the hall, a few vacant rooms lie empty and untouched for those who wish to join the Brotherhood, or align with them, even temporarily.

Located at the eastern end of the picturesque Titicus Reservoir, Salem Center is one of the wealthier areas in Westchester county; wide streets lined with lush foliage and impressive architecture. Students can easily head to this town and indulge in some shopping at the mall, catch a movie or even just sit back with coffee, if they do not wish to travel all the way into the city itself.
