As you may already noticed, the main site (dmcomet.net) is down right now and I'm not sure what had happened.

For now, I cannot do anything (as I don't host or even own the domain). Also, the forum may be slower in this few days due to some scripts being hosted at the main page.

UPDATE:

The main site is now back up and should be running.

I still have to fix a lot of scripts that was host in the old server for this forum, however. The RPG system was fixed, but the skins system still does not work and I will still have to work on that.

I was just about to make a thread to ask about this; I've had to access the forums from Google Searching for the last 2 days.

Can I ask why you don't have the forum URL bookmarked for, if nothing else, this exact situation?

As many times as this happens, someone always says the same thing. "I don't have the forum URL." or "I have to Google my way in."


After the second time, I have had the URL bookmarked ever since (though I don't have the second forum entry URL though, the one with the numbers in it).

I just don't get it everyone else though, it's seems half and half.

I knew you'd say that. Well, I just never bothered to because I always like to go through the main site anyway just to see the updates (as somewhat pointless as that is, considering that the same updates are easily found on the forums anyway).

Situations like this are why you have both links saved. :penguin_7:

OK, just update.

The problem is that the server disk got corrupted...

Good thing? Well...it should start working again in the next day or so.

UPDATE:The new server is now up...I just have to spend some times uploading back all the stuff.

Oh yeah...I WAS writing Trageodia review...XD (before it just went dead in my face).

I still had not yet upload back all the forum scripts...I kind of lost them and have to search my computer to get them back... :penguin_20:

The front page just went down about 2 minutes ago. I literally just caught it when my skin didn't load right.

It came back rather fast. Maybe it was just a hiccup from Invision. It wouldn't load the front page or the skins from the forum itself and RPG from the forum itself for a while. That's not an internet connection thing.

I noticed the forum was lagging so I decided to check the main site to be sure, and as expected the main site is down...again</Drachma leaving the party in Skies of Arcadia>. Why does this keep happening?

Well, the site was backed up a while ago...

Why it keeps going down? Well, servers are computers after all, and sometimes it can go down for few hours (that is usually the time it takes to fix just ANYTHING wrong with a server...and it's not that easy) for just minor reasons. Of course, last time it was huge as the whole server harddrive crashed...but this is just minor downtime that DO happen.
