I like how nobody's mentioned the new Infernity cards Kiryu used in this duel:

Infernity Mirage: A Level 1 0/0 that Tributes itself to summon 2 Infernity monsters from the Graveyard
Infernity Burst: Spell Card that does 800 damage per Infernity you control


Also, I can't help but laugh at Hunter of Peace's design.

That makes IDD the most powerful of the splashable Synchros as far as sheer power versus effect; even if the effect isn't active, it's still a 3000 beater that WON'T possibly backfire on your other monsters like RDD does. Nice.

Wonder if this means an Infernity Tuner? Not like it's necessary, though.

As expected, Kiryu is emo because he remembers his dark signer days, so he wants to get killed in a duel as atonement.

I was thinking he would still be down in the dumps from his time in jail, but that probably adds fuel to the fire.

Edit: For those who have or will watch the shriek version, pause at 7:20 of part 2 and read the sign in the background. If you don't laugh, you don't a sense of humor.

This might be the most new cards ever in an episode that wasn't a first episode of the series.


I mean really. How many cards did Kiryu suddenly pull out? this is almost as many as he has showed in his first two duels COMBINED.


Counting last episode, we had:

4 new monsters (Infernity Mirage, something that look like a Pistol and deals burn damage, Infernity Beetle and Infernity Revenger (it must be the Tuner because it changed levels, also it can be Special summoned from the GY)).

4 new Magic if you count the previous episode (Zero Max is MEAN).

definitely 2 or 3 new Traps, including a handless Damage Condenser

Plus Yusei's new Boost Warrior and Change Synchron.


There's also the 2 Cowboy theme burn monsters from the one-shot characters in 86.



So we're talking 18 completely new cards. That's NOT counting the upcoming Infernity Death Dragon which is the Card of the Week for 88 OR the other new Trap from Kiryu that was shown in the preview with the cubes on it. 20 cards.
