Well, another 10 days before I actually type a new card review. In this pace, this WILL be by far the slowest card review season in history of the site, even if I have a whole month to catch up to last year total!

Anyway, this time, I would look at one of the most behated card in the game right now. That's right, it's a freaking Gladial Beast of all thing...there is a reason that I suddenly go back half a year and look at a card that was released long time ago.

Art:
It is a Gladial Beast. Of course, they have to have the pose that they want to fight you, hand-to-hand, sword to sword, even if this card does not have a sword in it.

As this is a Fusion card, Kaiseris should look somewhat like Bestoarii, the card which this card is "fused upon". OK, I would say that this card is actually Bestoarii with armor, if anything. Now that I proposed that he is the king, let's go to the next section.
RATING: 9.1/10

Stats/Requirement:
This card is a level 6 2400/1500 monster that is Dark/Bird. Well, as this card is a Fusion monster, level does not matter much. 2400/1500 is a decent attack/defense for that kind of level of monster, however. Dark means you can use this card with DDVM, not that you should...and Bird means God Bird Attack is a friend, although I don't see any reason that this card is included in any Bird deck.

As like all other Gladial Beast fusion, this card requires you to return from field a specific Gladial Beast (Bestoraii) and another Gladial Beast to your deck to "Fusion" summon this card. The nice thing about the requirement? Bestoraii is one of the Gladial Beast that you would put into your Gladial Beast deck no matter this card exists or not anyway (there are just so few M/T destruction now-a-days). Finding 2 Gladial Beast on your field is not a hard thing, and finding the CORRECT ones on the field is not exactly hard consider the way Gladial Beast deck works.

Well, of course, a popular way to Fusion Summon this card is using this card with [Elemental Hero Prisma]. Just make Prisma Bestoarii and boom...this card came out. Why people would even bother? Read on...
RATING: 8.3/10

Effect:
This card's effect is simple, yet powerful. When this card is successfully special summoned, you can destroy up to 2 cards on the field, simple as that. Well, we all know how powerful can any "destroy card" effect gets, and this card destroys not 1 but 2. Anything opponent plan to destroy this card on the "backfield" (M/T)? Nah, gone. Face-down stuff? Gone. Monster with huge attack/annoying effect? Boom. Only maybe the Dark duo (D.A.D./Dark Zerato) and Judgment Dragoon is better destroying cards.

There are 2 extra nice things about this effect. One is this effect being optional. Although there may be chances the "miss the timing" thing kicked in (not that it will happen a lot), when opponent do not have much cards and you just want to destroy 1 (or 0), you don't have to choose your own card(s) to be destroy. The second nice thing is that the effect triggered when it is SPECIAL summon, or, if this card died, any reborn card bringing back this card means another 2 cards...annoying.

Well, the second effect of this card lets you return this card to Fusion Deck when battled at end of Battle Phase to special summon back some new Gladial Beasts. Why this effect is good? 1 is that you special summon back 2 monsters, 2 is that it's just not that hard to bring this thing back during your next Main Phase 2...to destroy even more opponent's cards.

RATING: 9.7/10

OVERALL - 9.0/10 - If there is a card that makes a deck from "playable" to "tournament-worthy", this is the single card. The easeness to bring this out, with an effect that can be a little too much for such easiness, plus not-too-shabby attack strength makes this card really good. Although Gladial Beast were never a really bad deck, this thing is pretty much exactly what the deck need, or a card that opponent can deemed to be "dangerous". People hate this card since that now everyone plays a GB deck as their "competitive" deck (the deck is just so cheap to be built...and this card is a freaking COMMON in OCG!). Now who says common card suck
