...and advice.


I've been playing around with the idea of a Phage combo what is actually rather sadistic. Mostly I thought of it ever since my friends stopped trying to use her because most of us liked to have Otherworldly Journey against her (you know what sort of dick move that). Needless to say, that killed using her.


So this is the basic premise, feel free to suggest cards to achieve the goal.

- Play Summoner's Egg (Mirrodin block), use the Imprint ability with Phage the Untouchable.
- Use some card to switch control of Egg to the appropriate target player (something like Donate, whatever will switch creatures, Artifacts, or permanents in general).
- Use a card like "Oxidize" or whatever destroys Artifacts, Creatures, or permanents on Egg while it's under your opponent's control.


Phage came into play and not from their hand which triggers Phage's Lethal Backstab, thus you win.

So what I'm asking is A: Is this definitely legal? And B: Are what are my best options for doing this and speeding the combo up?


The only thing about this not being legal is if Phage doesn't summon on your opponent's control due to being sent to my own Graveyard. I'm actually not sure about this, but it would be awesome if it works, but if not, are there other ways to do something like this?

I'm not sure... Summoner'sEgg's wording makes it seem like Phage would come into olay under your control no matter who was cotrolling the egg.

A nice combo with Phage is Endless Whispers, but you still need do summon her, making Otherworldly Journey a big pain if you don't have a way to sacrifice/destroy her in response.
