Rules and Regulations
1) Accepting the Terms of Service
As a registered member, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions at all times and to any changes made to these terms.
1.1) Newly Registered Members Unable to Start New Topics
As a measure to counter spambots, new members will not be able to start any new topics before they get at least 1 post count. They can do so by replying to any existing topic first.
2) Board Privacy
You must be a registered member in order to view and post in the forums. Any unvalidated account will be automatically deleted by the system after 7 days.
3) Prohibited Content
You may not post, upload, link to, or e-mail any content that contains, promotes, instructs about, or provides prohibited content such as the following:
- Content that infringes upon any rights (including but not limited to copyrights and privacy rights)
- Abusive, threatening, defamatory, racist, or obscene material
- Viruses, Hacking, or any other harmful computer software.
- False Information; libel
- Spam or pyramid schemes
- Illegal drugs
- Warez, CD-Keys, Serial Numbers, etc
- Pornography, nudity, or sexual material of any kind
- Excessive profanity (bypassing of filters is not allowed)
- Invasion of privacy or impersonation of any person or entity
- Anything that incites flame wars or promotes disharmony among the community (eg. "TCG vs. OCG" topics)
Spamming of any kind will not be tolerated. We define spam as:
- Posts that are inappropriate or posted in the wrong forum
- Bumping of threads
- Illegible posts (atrocious grammar and/or spelling)
- "Personal" threads (Fav. cards/decks, what's his/her name, etc.)
- God cards, Legendary Demons, etc. threads
- Unconstructive and/or off-topic replies
- Posting multiple threads/replies with the same content
- Requesting card translations
- Asking for "new information" regarding the latest cards/sets/promos on every reply
- GX anime discussion, this does NOT apply in the anime discussion forum
5) Proxy IP Addresses
If you are using a proxy IP address to access our website you do so at your own risk. While most people use a proxy in a legal manner we can not assume this is the case in all situations. If you are caught using a Proxy IP address we will consider this a hostile act and we have the right with or without warning to you, suspend your account and IP ban the address and/or address range you are using.
6) Masking Your IP Address
If you are masking your regular IP address in any way to access our website you do so at your own risk. The only reason we use IP addresses is to verify potential compromised accounts and other potential security risks. If you are found to be masking your IP address for any reason (legal or illegal) we will consider this a hostile act and immediately IP ban the address or address range you are using. If this continues to be a habitual occurrence we reserve the right to contact Invisionfree or your web host provider and request further action be taken against you.
7) Multiple Accounts
You are not allowed to have multiple accounts on this board. If you are found to have multiple accounts including, but not limited to active, suspended, or banned accounts, any and all accounts can be deleted without warning. Inform an administrator if you require multiple personnel to access the board via the same system.
You may not advertise your forums/site or recruit our members for your staff positions anywhere on our board apart from adding links in your profile or signature. Advertising or recruiting members/staff for your board or any other member's board is strictly prohibited via Personal Messages on this board. You agree that we have the right to implement punishments without warning if you are caught doing this.
9) Avatars, Signatures and Personal Profile
Personal avatars and signatures are limited to 150x150 pixels and 1000 characters respectively. Do not put inappropriate content (read section 3) in your avatars, signatures or personal profile. Please refrain from extending your signatures too much.
10) Staff Positions
Any decision to promote members to be a staff on this board lies entirely on us. Requests for staff positions will not be entertained in any way.
11) Enforcement of Rules
Additional rules will also be pinned for each specific forum where necessary. We reserve the right to delete any posts/topics/polls, posted on the forums that disagree with these guidelines. You are not allowed to edit out any comments made on your post by any staff member. If you are punished for violating any of our terms and conditions, you may explain your case to the staff but please keep in mind that not being aware of the forum rules is not a valid excuse. Punishments imposed can be handled with flexibility, at our discretion and judgement.
We hold absolute authority on this board and you have every reason to respect us carrying out our respective duties. Any forms of disrespect towards any staff will be severely dealt with.
If you have any problems with any of the staff, seek help from another staff member via a pm in a polite manner and we will see to it asap.
13) Termination of Accounts
You agree that once your account is created here, we reserve the right to terminate it at any timeŚwithout notice if need be.
14) General Notice
Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy or completeness/usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this BB. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by e-mail. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so within a reasonable time frame if we determine that removal is necessary. You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this BB to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this BB.
15) Chatroom and Chatbox
All stated terms and conditions also apply to the Chatroom and Chatbox wherever possible. Any violations at these venues will suffer heavier consequences than usual (2x the normal punishments).
16) Modification of These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms as often as needed and without notice.
Each member is allowed a maximum of 25 warning points whereby, when the full 25 points is reached, their account will be suspended immediately. When in breach of any of these terms, the following actions can and will be taken where applicable:
Spamming - Warn up to 3 pts.
Inciting Flame Wars - Warn up to 4 pts., account suspended up to 48 hours
Advertising - Warn up to 5 pts., account suspended up to 24 hours
Posting in Wrong Forum - Warn 0 pts. for first violation, up to 3 pts. for each subsequent violation(s)
Provocate or Harrass other Members - Warn up to 5 pts., account suspended for at least 48 hours
Minor Profile/Avatar Violation - Warn up to 2 pts.
Excessive use of profanity - Warn up to 4 pts., account suspended for 24 hours
Edit out Admin/Mod's edit - Warn at least 10 pts., account suspended for at least 1 week.
Disrespect toward Mod/Admin - Permanent suspension of account
Disrespect toward Members - Warn 10 pts., account suspended for 2 days
Major Spamming/Advertising - Warn up to 25 pts., account suspended for 4 days and above
Major Profile/Avatar Violation - Permanent suspension of account
Post anything with prohibited content - Permanent suspension of account
Multiple Accounts - Permanent suspension of account
Request for Staff Positions - Permanent suspension of account
Repeated Offense - 6 plus the original warning points. Double the suspension time for each subsequent violation(s)
