Note: If you have queries, please post them in the [Tavern of the Comet] forum.

This forum is best viewed with Mozilla Firefox

*Role Play Forum* (New)

Read the instructions for the Role Play Forum here.

Note: You will be unable to use a signature without creating a RPG profile first. I recommend you to create a profile, even if you're not really using it just for convenience's sake.

However, there is a way to work around it. You simply have to disable Javascript for your browser before editing your signature. Then enable it again after you've submitted your edited signature for the forum to work properly.

For Mozilla Firefox Users
From your browser, go to [Tools] => [Options] => [Content]. You will see see a checkbox with [Enable Javascript]. Use that to trigger the Javascript on or off.

For Internet Explorer Users
From your browser, go to [Tools] => [Internet Options] => [Security]. Simply set the default level to "High" or use the "Custom Level" to find and disable Javascript.

Note: Anyone caught cheating the RPG system will risk getting their entire signature removed.

*Trader's References System* (New)

We have an official ref system here at DMComet. For further details, please look here.

*Chatbox*

We have a Chatbox system for the forum. It is located below the forum tables. Feel free to use it but please refrain from spamming it with nonsense.

Any misbehaviour or abuse of the Shoutbox will not be tolerated and will be punished accordingly. Impersonators will be ip banned. Report them to any staff if you find any.

*Live Chat*

We are currently using the Userplane Chat system. This particular chat allows the registering of names.

When you click "Chat" at the taskbar on top of the forum, a login window will pop up. It will look something like this:

You can see the "Sign Up!" option. Click it to register an account so that your nick will be protected with your desired password. If you use a registered account, check the box "Use my Userplane ID" when you log in. (It creates an additional password field)

If you want to chat in the chatroom, we encourage you to register an account so that we can minimise people impersonating other members. Also, it would be easier if we ever try to organise tournaments via the chat.

Right now there are only 2 rooms inside. The "Lobby" and the "Duel Room". If you have any suggestions for more rooms to be created, post them in the [Tavern of the Comet] forum.

*Forum Search*

We have a more powerful search engine than the original google search. You can access it by clicking the [Advanced Search] option under [Search] at the top.

A screenshot of it in use: http://img345.imageshack.us/img345/2063/004cq.jpg

Things to note:
  • Each member is only allowed 10 searches per day. (Use them wisely)
  • The search engine only looks at the Topic Title and Topic Description, and will not match for any keywords in the content of any post. The keywords used must also be as specific as possible. (Look at the screenshot for an example when I use the keyword "Official Dsn/Rumor Thread".)
  • Filter by member name will only show topics started by the stated member.
  • Try not to search all forums at once to look for a certain thread (it will take longer and isn't efficient when there are a lot of threads). If you want to select more than one forum, hold the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard to multi-select the forums.
To facilitate the use of the search engine, please try to be more specific in your topic title/description whenever you start a new topic in future. Thanks for your kind cooperation.

*Image Upload*

Whenever you post, you will notice an option to host images via ImageShack at the "Post Options".

Please note that the only image types allowed are jpeg, jpg, png, gif, bmp, tif, tiff and swf. The maximum image size you're allowed to upload is 1024 kilobytes.
