Title: Leaving for about a month.

TBD2 - January 20, 2006 07:54 AM (GMT)
Despite still being a film student, I am currently in talks with a Warner Bros. executive and producer named Graham King, in the pursuit what will hopefully be the production of a film using a script I had been working on for over a year. You can find absolute barebones information here on it, and as Warner submits updated information to the IMDB, that page will be updated. For example, if they are satisfied with my newest draft, or a revised one, they will send updated information to the IMDB regarding they have a credited writer (me), and the page will be updated with my name (Alexander Richardson) as the scriptwriter, along with confirmation of my WGA (Writer's Guild of America) membership.

I highly doubt I will be assigned to direct, since I wouldn't have a membership with the DGA (Director's Guild of America) for a few more years. A DGA membership is required if one is to work on a film through the American studio system. Unless production is lagging for the next three years, someone else will direct. I'm doubtful of this, as producers are rather tight-assed about meeting their deadlines, this one being December 2008.

So, for the next few months, this will keep me more than busy, and I will not be here for quite some time. If all goes well, my year's workload will be on screen a few years from now.

Take care, and have fun.

Wow. Congratulations TBD2. Hope you don't come back for a while. :)
I mean that in a good way, just to note. If you don't come back for a while, you're having success with having a script published. ;)

The script's been accepted, but they're apparently free to revise it to their choosing (King still had some issues with some "Anti-American" subtext of mine). I can't complain, as I am now $55,000 wealthier.

The title of the film is also going to be changed, in order to avoid confusion with an upcoming horror film with the title "Silence" as well.
