Title: Stardust Accelerator: Retarded AI Moments and More

MystikX - June 16, 2009 03:50 AM (GMT)
Let us discuss the times where the AI made completely retarded moves in Stardust Accelerator, such as using Seven Tools on their own Solemn Judgment.

Here's a good one that I just came across:

Scenario: Vs. Oscar (GB Deck)

He has 2 S/Ts and Heraklinos, with two cards in hand. Using my Exodia Deck, I have Nightmare's Steelcage, Wall of Revealing Light (f/d), Threatening Roar (f/d), Card Trader, and MST (f/d).

He uses Monster Reborn to revive Gorz, which he discarded to negate my Smashing Ground last turn. I chain with MST, targeting an f/d. He chains with Heraklinos's effect, leaving him with no hand. The card that I targeted with MST is then activated. What was it? War Chariot. HE DESTROYED HIS OWN HERAKLINOS!

Against a japanese ghost from the leaderboard who was running a starter deck: Attacks me directly with The Calculator, and activates Overworked.

hehe...that's priceless! >: D I hate to bag on the hard work the Programmers put into the game (since I know EXACTLY how much that is >.< ), but you're right that the AI is far from flawless. Another one:

Olivia - Lonefire'd Titanial into play, attacked, I chained with my set Enemy Controller (which was all I could do considering she blew my Field away the previous turn), and what does Olivia do? She chains her own Titanial and SACS it to prevent the Mode-Shift. I was like, "Umm...thanks?" XD

Yeah, I've had several other moments like that. Mark deciding it was more important to bounce my Infernal Dragon who hadn't attacked over my Horus level 8 who had just attacked. I can't imagine where 2000 LP is more important than getting rid of something that hampers your entire game plan (he had about 7000 LP at the time so it can't be about a last ditch effort to save himself). Oh, I think Rally is one of the worst AI in the game, not sure if it's intentional or not. I've had him summon Turbo Booster face up attack mode and do nothing else. Thanks for the free card to run over that also lets me level up my monster? Esh...

Oh, another time I was going to do the Big Bang Shot onto your opponent's monster then Giant Trunade it but they negated my Trunade so I felt slightly miffed that they got the free equip at first...when on their turn they Heavy Storm'd the field. "...'kay?"

I finally have a moment to discuss.

I was just now dueling Oda (the Six Samurai guy in Satellite Slums) and he did the weirdest thing. I'm sure he was trying to Scapegoat himself from harm but...

He had a face-down monster and two face-down M/Ts.

I have E*Hero Absolute Zero AND Leviathan Daedalus AND I'm using my priority to activate his effect so I can give him a little space for a turn or two.

Oda chains Backs to the Wall, paying until he had 100 and Special Summoning Zanji and Yariza. Of course, this is in chain to Daedalus who as Chain 1 clears the field. Not to mention, it killed Absolute Zero which would have cleared his monsters anyway. He had 4600 LP BEFORE I USED Daedalus. Now he has 100 and Daedalus has right to attack. So instead of living a few turns, he dies like a drowning bitch.
