Yo.
When April 23rd, 9 AM hits, I'm gone for 3 weeks to the Philippines. I can get to the net there, but it'll be like Dial-Up speed so it'll be rare that I'll be around- AND I have to walk to a house to buy a Dial-Up card.
It's my sister's graduation from Law School, and a semi-vacation, because my teachers will give me packets while I'm off school. While that may be- I'll be hitting the Narita Airport for a connected flight with Japan Airlines then to the Philippines with the same plane, therefore I can get some souvenirs and technically have my feet in Japan for the first time. THE FIRST TIME!!!
Homework, walking, running, going to the mall (FYI: The urban parts of the country has a LOT OF MALLS, and more in construction), visiting relatives and friends- those are what I'm about to do for 3 weeks.
It'll be all good when I come home.
Damn...........youget to set foot in Japan..............I'm jealous. :P

4/23/09
Left home to LAX through SuperShuttle. Went through inspection, exchanged some dollars to yen. At 12:30, boarded Japan Airlines from LAX to Narita International Airport in Japan. Left America quarter to 1 PM. Flight took 11 hours and 50 minutes. When landed in Narita, inspection, took pics of the airport, rushed to a magazine store to buy V-Jump issue 6/09 (Where Koa'ki Meiru Bergzak was available from), waited for a delayed flight. Rode another JAL plane for 4 hours, 50 minutes to Philippines.
4/24/09- 4/30/09
HOT. It was like a sweatshop out there. I landed, was inspected, mom complained that I was compromised with immigration problems. My sister picked us up and we were at our old home. Home was too derelict- mom complained hours about it. A day later, my estranged brother, now working at a callcenter, gave me his PSP 2000 ver. hoping to get a 3000 ver. My mother and brother argue about the past. Worked on some of my econ stuff. The new pet my maid has a uber annoying dog who chased me everyday. Wish it died, lest taken care of better. Attended my sister's Graduation from Law School. Estranged dad comes around and gives me a Nikon D60 as a belated b-day gift. Treated us to dinner with my uncle Rene and my dad's sister, Daday. Met sister's boyfriend, Ping Medina, a celebrity in the shadows during dinner. Dad comes in a day later to give my sister his laptop, the one I was borrowing from my sister during every study days she has.
1st week 4/30-5/4
Went to Laoag (My mom's hometown) with sister, mom and I in a better bus with fewer stops (The buses we used to take back then is a crappy one and had a lot of stops). Met and reconnect with my uncle and his family (amongst new helpers), with the 2nd floor of his house, a Pension house under the name 'Balay ni Carol' (House of Carol) in memory of my dead aunt Carol who died of breast cancer last March of 08. Met and reconnect with my cousin Pauline, now with a family of rowdy kids, the elder 'Kikoy' loved breakfast foods (being Hotdogs, eggs, noodles) recommended his mom to get him to Jack in a Box or Denny's, played GTA4 through my cousin Caloy's PS3 enthusiastically to die and curse (He can say the f word). Pipoy (Middle) is on Monster/Red Bull, often running from and back. Titoy (baby girl) is calm. Went to the beach, went to a E-Casino under my uncle's (Never knew), went to a swimming pool with my uncle's new friend, used my cousin's PC, played GTA4 for once. My sister went with Pauline's husband to try out ATV's. Mom stayed in other home, Pasuquin. My other cousins who I forgot come along. Watched the Pacquiao VS Hatton fight= fight was short and sweet- love the win by Pacquiao. Bought the Duel Terminal Cydra from Ebay in shadows. Left the hometown with pics of the kids, cousins and family, and I LOVED the House of Carol. Driving in the Philippines is BAD= bad drivers, and gambling our lives in the road whenever.
2nd Week 5/5-5/10
Worked and finished my Econ stuff. Mom is serious and insane- She wants our old home to become what it was before we left for America for the 1st time= CLEAN AND PERFECT. Bought tools to clean up, hired a plumber to get the water links right. My brother comes back to help me a better caretaker of his PSP. Mom reconnected with the people she forgot, I reconnected with a friend, I hit the internet cafes myself by walking past 1 town to another to connect to you guys. The heat in the Philippines is akin to hell itself. Mom becomes the devil nun: seeing that my sister nor the maid can't take care of the place, plus my siblings' grudges against each other, mom wants to sell our place. I wanted to take a bath in the master bathroom, but often denied by mom, being oblivious that the bathroom I use in is a cockroach home. I was stolen some money: maid did it, lied even= mom said 'Don't give her anymore'. I was at Fort Bonifacio (The Fort) with sister (Studying for the BAR Exams to fulfill her license for Lawyer), Mom was robbed. Went to the so-called 'Mall of Asia' where the 2 Davids (Cook and Archuleta), and the Pussycat Dolls would preform at by then (Never went). Another uncle, Jay, comes to visit us 2 times, Rene comes in again with Carrot cake. Got to the malls again to find Hobbyshops for YGO stuff= YGO's dead in the Philippines= people love WOW and a upgraded Warcraft 3 version named 'DOTA'. My brother reveals that the laptop I was using was supposed to be for him, but dad was convinced by his sister's words to give it to my sister. My brother is pissed, everyday since then. He used to have a flat-screen LCD TV that my dad let him borrow, but was taken away. He now has a crappy TV in my aunt Daday's place and a slim PS2. Reconnected with brother despite my hairdue and his pissed attitude (That what I got and what my sister got, he couldn't get, despite my father promising him)= wanted me to get a comb= mom says the brush I brought in is the only one I got. Celebrated my brother's b-day. Ping came in with Green tea cake. Went to the Manila Ocean park with sister and Ping, enjoyed taking pics with my new D60 and learned from Ping how to take pics right (Being a good photographer himself). Mom cursing the lord's name for a mere 15-20-30 times a day annoys me. She'll have a Guinness World Record in no time for that.
3rd Week 5/11-5/17
Finished my pharmacy worksheets. Mom hires people to paint the roof and chop some trees within our home. Went to the netcafe more and more and keeping contact with XC, DMComet, Janime and I now hate a a-hole shouting that one quote from that Pussycat Dolls song (That guy must have fapped for them) in the netcafe I go to. Downloaded some of my favorite songs, being J-rock from Gackt, Nightmare and other stuff to my PSP. Missed that SNL episode with Zachary Quinto (we have no cable- my sister isn't rich). Went to Starbucks for my sister to study. Watched Star Trek with mom and sister= coolest movie ever. Brother and I got to a barbershop and payed for my haircut and facial shave, then my brother pissed again due to my disability. Struggled to find a cardshop with YGO cards= resorted to toy stores= none. NONE. Bergzak was all I got, amongst a Hitman: Reborn Card and a One Piece Arcade card that I got from that VJump. Enjoyed the foods invited by my sister.
5/18- 5/20
My sister now has problems with Ping. My sister holds a MONSTER breakfast for Law school friends (To which I indulged) I'm in Starbucks for 2 days being in the free Wi-Fi and trying to get with XC, DMComet, Janime. Packed, got to Airport, hugged my sister, inspected, waited, road the plane to Narita. When landed to Narita, my body spray was confiscated= mom gets pissed again. Bought GX Vol.5 manga, waited for next flight. Plane comes, inspected again, road our plane back to LAX for almost 10 hours.
Landed, inspected again, got our stuff, inspected for the FINAL TIME, went out of LAX, rode the SuperShuttle back to our abode.
Fun vacation. Wish it was long though.
Sounds like ya' had quite the time. Also sounds like your bros & sisters all want to kill each other. :P Luckily, I only have one brother - not that I don't to clobber him sometimes.
A shame that YGO is a no-go over there.... -_-
Yeah, I had the TIME!!! I drank sake! I drank alcohol at 19 and Philippine law states that people can drink at 18!!
I did it at the last day of my stay with my sister in a authentic Japanese restaurant in Little Tokyo, near a mall.
YGO was alive there. Pojo posters from the country in their OCG forums have said that, but I don't see anyone selling it anymore when I came home. They had Magic, WOW, Mechwarrior and any other card game out there. I did see Gundam models straight from Japan though and mini toys from Japan as well.
