Wow, and this is just the TEASER. It is going to air during the third quarter of the Super Bowl, but it got out online early. All I can say is...WOW. This movie is going to be freaking awesome.

Things feature in trailer:
-Protoforms crashing into Aircraft Carriers filled with F22s. Probably(among other Decepticons) the other Seekers(at the very least Thundercracker...maybe Ramjet if he somehow survived being beheaded from Reign of Starscream comic).

-HOLY SHIT! I had seen images of that Constructicon's toy on TFW2005, but seeing it in movie form leaves me speechless. I guess the Decepticons found a way around Sabot rounds. Bring a bot so big they won't do jack shit to them.

-A good look a Ravage, though his concept art has been out for awhile online. Looks REALLY nasty.

-The Audi R8 Decepticon(no name right now, but some speculate it might be Barricade in a new vechicle mode due to some design similarities) trying to get away from his persuers(it seems like three bots are chasing it, so it might be the Autobot Bikebots that form Arcee).

-Starscream about to show Sam his "ARE YOU LADIESMAN217!?" imitation.

-A Decepticon pinning Sam down.

-Some Decepticon smashing Optimus in the face, which breaks his faceplate off. Ow.

-Another shot of the Constructicon slamming through a bridge while Optimus jumps on him. A really good shot that gives a sense of how big that Constructicon is, and really makes wonder how big Devastator will be.

News of the toy say that the full Constructicon gestalt will be 2 feet tall, so comparing that to the size of the individual robots in the movie, I'm going to have to say to expect Boukenger/Go-Onger-style over-the-top Megazord madness size. To be honest, though, I don't like how they're designed; I hate the overall design of the Bayformers, in general, but these things really remind me of the horrors that were the Vehicons, and I'd rather not be reminded of that travesty in Transformers rapage (fuck "Trukk not Munky", that was "Robots in Disguise, not Captain Planet").

And I really, really hate how they ruined Ravage in this movie; I don't like the character design (my mate says he looks more like a wolf than a panther; I say he looks more like whatever a nightmare of being raped by a Xenomorph would look like if had by M Night Shyamalon (or however you spell his name)), I don't quite like how they said he'd use "biological weapons" (alien robots that use bioagents? It worked in Beast Wars, but this ain't Beast Wars)...and I get the sneaky suspicion that he's ultimately going to be the combined form of the "Frenzy-like robot army" mentioned in recent news. That, or his"alt mode" is a freaking torpedo shot out by Soundwave the lame-ass Kill-Sat.

I also get the bad, bad feeling that they're aiming for a Mortal Kombat Annihilation-style fanboy wankfest with this sequel; Weelie as a toy car, not one but TWO combiners, and a friggin' PRETENDER. The first and last of those three killed the movie for me, personally; I'm a huge Transfan, and even I'm not stupid enough to watch a movie that has to resort to the robots making TOILET JOKES for humor, and if they're going to throw in two of the worst ideas in all of Transformers History, then forget it.

I saw that as well, but I recently got a scale on just how big that is after watching a review on the Fortress Maximus toy from G1 line. He'd be two inches bigger than the biggest Transformer to date(which is said Fortress Maximus), and that's blowing my mind. If they really manage to pull something off like that, Movie Devastator would go down as the best Combiner ever just for the fact they actually made it work.

Before I give my thoughts, Let me just say that all 'geewuners' can go fuck themselves.

I didn't catch most of the trailer thanks to my mom talking through it, but it looked like two tons of Bayformer awesomeness to me. ^_^ I don't care what it takes; I saw the first one at the theater, and I'll be damned if I miss this one.

I'm more of a Beast Wars fan, myself (if it wasn't obvious), but that's not why I don't like the Bayformer movies, or TF: Animated, for that matter; They just look really ugly to me, I don't like the kind of humor they put in the Bayformers movies, and I don't like how they turned the TF into Justice Leage Detroit in Animated. But I digress.

For the record, I only put the GEEWUN reference there to be funny.

LOL to the point.

The Trailer: *Head explodes.

Me want more!!!

Eagle_Fierce - February 7, 2009 11:55 AM (GMT)

If Devastator is going to be larger than Fortress Maximus, then there is only one way they'll be able to take it down. I used to love the G1 (or was it G2 with Hot Rod?) series, and even they made it clear that, about the only way to take one of those city-sized base-bots down was to remove the transformation cylinder inside it. Whether they do that or not, chances are that there will be a scene INSIDE Devastator...unless they can trick Soundwave into launching a nuke at his comrade XD

Full trailer from Friday the 13th is up(lol that movie is going to get inflated numbers because people want to see this :penguin_18:).

All I can say is CMDR Doomwheels(WTF@TFW Podcast nickname for the Constructicon) is the Blackout of this movie. Spotlight owner of the early trailers(which made Blackout my favorite Decepticon of the first movie...that and he was helicopter because you don't see those often). Speaking of Blackout, HUZAH! SCORPONOK IS BACK! :penguin_8:.

DarkKabuto - February 14, 2009 02:07 AM (GMT)
WOW!!!

Moar I say!! I hope we hear from the actors about it too!!

Huh, I thought Mr. Beast Wars Reincarnate Scorpion was destroyed in the first movie... (Well, not before causing severe grief for the U.S. Army, that is.)

Is Megatron going to get revived? It just seems entirely too odd that he was destroyed THAT early.

I vaguely remember the Constructicon from the original series; it's been SOOOOOOOO many years since I've seen the original (and so little I remember from it altogether). Seems bigger than the original, if that's possible.

1. Skorponok is alive yes. He got torn up by the gunship, but all he wasn't killed. Also, Beast Wars Skorponok wasn't the first one(see the G1 Headmaster).

2. They chose the biggest construction vehicles possible for the Constructicons for the movie.

Michael Bay told in an article in Empire Magazine that Megatron won't come back. The Cybertronian Tank ver. of Megatron that was around the net is a new toy.

Hey Kabuto, can I sell you a bridge? That's obviously a part of Bay's Misinformation campaign for this movie. I mean seriously, why go through all that work for a character that won't be in the movie? They are making several toys of him, there are renders of him on several other ROTF mechandise, he has an actual CGI render, and to top it off he was featured on artwork that features Devastator and The Fallen. Can you seriously tell me after all of that marketing he won't be in ROTF?

I think they did misinformation so that if stuff got leaked, some of it would be false information.

Non Bootleg version of the trailer. You can really see that Demolishor(that's the name of CMDR Doomwheels) is charging at Optimus at the end of the trailer.

Some clips from Revenge of the Fallen put up on Michael Bay's website. A scene between Sam, Mikaela and Bumblebee. And then a buch of shots of the robots.

Thoughts:
-Guess Bumblebee's voice still needs some work. It did get somewhat better at the end if the first movie, but Starscream fucked up his vocal processor in the Allaince comics(I swear, there must be point for abusing Bumblebee's neck in the movieverse).
-Moar footage of the bike bots versus Sideways. This time you see why he crashes through the building
-Yay for Insecticons!
-lol at Jetfire "RUSTY MY AFT-!"erburner
-Huh. Seems Rampage is red, and not yellow. Then is toy wrong color?
-Holy crap at Devastator. His art so far has made him look wicked, but seeing him in motion even briefly is...whoa.
-Megatron can be scene a few times, mainly when he kicks Prime in the faceplate in the forest with Starscream and...IS THAT'S BLACKOUT!?
-Y halo thar The Fallen.
