Title: I might as well make it official...
Danieru Lynx - November 8, 2008 12:49 AM (GMT)
... I've left. Simple as.
Was probably pretty obvious to everyone what with me having inexplicably gone missing for however long it's been, but still, I thought I might as well announce it and make it official.
My reasoning? Two points:
1) My life is far too busy right now. I waste enough time online as it is, so being drawn into a posting frenzy which takes up most of what little time I have left doesn't help.
2) I'll be blunt - this place has descended into fucking chaos. I mean, honestly, what the Hell happened to everyone? All I do whilst here is watch everyone bitch at everyone else and it never ever ends. It doesn't matter how many times people are yelled at, how many times topics are locked, or how many times people are officially warned, it just never stops, and I've hit my quota for this sort of thing. I'm not pointing any fingers, I'm referring to this forum as a whole. Yes, I did just read the topic regarding the argument in the 5D's topic. I haven't read the argument itself, and I don't intend to. The fact is, this place becomes more and more fiery on a daily basis (especially over the past year or so), and I'm sick and tired of being in the middle of it all. I leave because of the bitching, and what do I see when I return? More bitching!
So yeah, I'm gone. I don't intend to return. Take it as you will. My interest is kaput.

Wow...
Well, I wish the best for you, Dan. I'll miss ya (NO homo on that statement).

Damn, you were one of the few decent people left on here.
I won't be a hypocrite and say that I wasn't part of the problem (because I know I've contributed a big part of it), but even taking myself out of the equation, I completely agree with you that more and more people on here are becoming douches, lately. It was a lot nicer when there was only a select few people who were butting heads with me, but nowadays, even when I DON'T get into a flame war with someone, I end up running into someone new OUTSIDE of those token few that gets rubbed the wrong way by something trivial. I'm starting to wonder if this is some sort of unavoidable duelist epidemic, as I'm seeing this same decay in the UDE boards, and I know I've left a few Yugioh boards in the past for this same reason, myself.
Really hate to see you go, but I can definitely understand your reason for leaving. You were one of the best of us, and you will be missed. Hope you find better pastures somewhere else.

Hey, if you feel like you should be leaving...fine, wish you best.
For any other person taking blame...really, the admins/mods should be blamed. However, all of us are really busy and would not have the time to read post by post...
I try my best...no avail. But oh well, if you feel like you want to leave, fine...you make the decision about your life anyway and I'm not going to even attempt to stop you to do so.

Sad to see you go Lynx, but Godspeed to you and your life's endeavors. I'm not a big poster on forums, more like a observer who will chime in from time to time. All I can say is Life Happens to all of us and there will be moments when we change and move on. I hope you do come by and check in from time to time, it would be nice for those of us that know you and will be here as long as Spikes and Baron still runs. Again, Godspeed Lynx.

.......It's official - we've (collectively) run somebody off of this site..... :penguin_22:
Like everyone above us said, we'll miss ya'. You know where to find me on Janime, if ya' want to chat.

We're all posting for ourselves more than anything else. Lynx said he wouldn't be back, and probably won't even see what we write. However, he doesn't have to see it to know it. Lynx wouldn't have created this thread if he didn't think we'd respond, and know what we'd say. There were a lot of good times., and I'm sure that's how it'll remain in his memory, now that he's left...That's the important thing.
