Since the PS2 TF1 port's been pushed back until the beginning of January, I'm not able to confirm this rumor that I keep on hearing on the GameFAQs boards, and none of the "official" websites I've scoped out for info on it confirm this. Supposedly, The Beginning of Destiny has all of the cards in Tag Force 2, plus 400 more.
Now, I have heard that you unlock more cards in TBoD through a link-up with TF2, but I've also heard that the card count for TBoD is only 2400+, not 3200+ or even 2800+. Also, I dunno how they're going to get enough cards to fill the fabled extra 400 cards in the game; I guess they could shove in the rest of Gladiator's Assault and Phantom Darkness, plus all the cards they've left out so far (like Masked Beast Des Gardius, for some reason), and have the rest anime-only cards, but then again, TBoD is supposed to be a port of TF1, so it wouldn't make much sense to put so many extra cards in.
Also, I've heard that through the link, you can unlock the Society of Light and Johan in TBoD, while simultaneously unlocking all the missing TF1 characters in TF2. Again, I can find no proof of this anywhere; the only bit of "credible" evidence I could find is
this website, but it's in Japanese, Babelfish hates me, and it doesn't look like it mentions 400 extra cards beyond the 2800+ of TF2, to me.
So, can anyone confirm any of the above? I've got it all paid up for reserve, and this is baking my brain.
