So, as I had said...I would continue to review cards from the latest set: STON.
One thing different about my card choice for this set is...well, again, I choose a Magic card over the monster cards. I just find the monster in this set not as elegant and interesting as with the Magics.
Anyway, let's look at the latest way for Ritual Summon: an "advanced" one...
Advanced Ritual Technique
Magic - Ritual
Choose a Ritual monster from your hand, choose Normal monster(s) from your deck to the same level as that card and send them to Graveyard. Special Summon the chosen Ritual monster.
One thing people should realize is the so called "advanced" ritual does not mean advancement in society, it just mean the Ritual itself is nothing like before.
As like all the other Ritual cards...you must "sacrifice" something to create the beast you want. So there's the altar (behind the blu-ray), and to show the flavor of sacrificing "normal" monster only, there's the old Egyptian (more Greece) columns with the monsters...and the stonehinge...
Either way, it's a freaking Ritual Magic...it shows the ceremony, and the card looks...cool.
This card is a Ritual Magic card, so you would expect you have to "sacrifice" something. The difference? This card is the "Ritual" version of the restricted [Future Fusion], so the sacrifice are done from deck, not hand...otherwise, so below to continue.
As I said above, this card is more-or-less the "Ritual" version of [Future Fusion]. The main differences are one is you must find a way to draw the Ritual monster unlike having to wait only 2 turns for the Fusion monster (and can always combo it with those "Graveyard-Fusion"), and two is the limitation on what you can sacrifice (Fusion: the Fusion materials, this: Normal monster).
Why normal monster and Ritual? Well, as I said in my article, this set is "back to the basics", and the most basic thing is Normal monsters...
So what to use with this card? There're only certain number of Ritual monsters available in this game (only 26). And from there, I would say the "best" Rituals are level 8 (Demise/Zork/Reshef). There're the two new Rituals from STON that are create to "use" this card's effect, but they're both kind of weak (but useable).
So how to use this card? Well, one is adding this to a "normal monster beatdown", choosing certain Ritual monsters (level 4, 6, 8 in particular), and then use the rituals to add in another dimension to that deck...and two is well...use more Normal monsters (don't have to be a lot either, 5-6 is way more than enough) in your certain-Ritual-monster themed deck. Three? Blue-Eyes White Dragon just LOVE this card...
Back to the effect, the first thing about this Ritual is it must be exact level. Well, I would say if one person cannot even get the correct level from cards from their DECK (which have a bunch of possibilities), I don't know what to say. For the second, as said above, you need Normal monsters. Well, you must adjusted to THAT.
So what's else is nice about this card? Well, recursion of those Normal monsters is nice (via Legimate Bloodline), as does boosting the Graveyard with [Wight] (XD), or have "Overload Fusion-like" in [Mass Production Factory of Darkness] + any Ritual. If anything, this card cut things you need to Ritual Summon to two (before is the "sacrificed monster(s)", the Ritual monsters itself, and the CORRECT Ritual Magic; now it's just the Ritual monster and this card, no worry on not drawing your [Metal Reflect Slime]).
Oh yeah, just to mention this here, any Ritual monsters special summon by this card can be special summon back once they hits Graveyard, so you don't have to worry about the "nomi" problem.
OVERALL - 7.8/10 - The "low" of this card's rating is mainly not this card's problem, but more towards the whole Ritual. However, this card is a nice way to help Ritual useable again as one now don't have to have a HUGE card disadvantage to Ritual summon a monster (at least 2 for 1, now it's more 1-for-1). Although this card needs normal monster, which one must adjust their deck to, and need exact level, but as said above, it's just impossible for you to not have the "correct" combination. Not to mention all the "combos"...
but baron the card say need to equal or higher then the level of the monster when i sacrifice if i need sacrifice equal star monster it will be hard to use...anyway this card is slightly too good already konami love overated cards...next ban list MUST MUST ban cyber stein or limit overload coz REALLY its OVERated n angel lily too any idea on overated cards?
i find it hard to read what your typing name... the card DO says you need to sacrifice equal nukber of stars to summon the ritual monster. go check the translation file or ask a friend who knows jap.
