Title: Shoutbox
Shogun - November 19, 2005 11:54 AM (GMT)
A shoutbox has been installed, thanks to yours truly. Well, I have to say that it's quite amazing that I manage to squeeze it into the forum somehow... B)
(everywhere is packed very tight)
Feel free to use it but keep it clean please.

There's LOADS of space. Everything probably looks cluttered thanks to <TD><TR> here there and everywhere.

It's not about the code.... It's about fitting it nicely without making the forum look awkward. I can extend the shoutbox to the size of a full forum, or leave it in the default size but both would be too ugly. >_<

Defaults always suck. I had to play around with mine for about 20 mins to get it right due to the way I sliced my old layout.
EDIT:

Nice Adjustment, it will help make the forum grow more.

Acid: It's just my opinion that overly large shoutboxes look really ugly.
BTW, what's your screen resolution? Mine is 1024 x 768 pixels so I can't imagine stretching all the way would look good in any way.

I don't really like the small one...XDDDDDDD (I can't really see anything...)
BTW, your resolution only 1024x768?? That's nothing compare to my widescreen resolution of 1280x800...

See
here.
I don't like it. Maybe I'm just a wierd guy?? :(
BTW, the one on the testboard may not look right for everyone, due to differences in screen resolution. Unlike the forum tables, the shoutbox doesn't respond when I use something like width="100%" so too bad for people with different screen size than mine. XD

My monitor is bad.

1280x1240 is my resoultion. I just kicked the screen grab down to 800x600 so it didn't take forever to save and upload. My CPU speed is disgustingly low for some reason, so it takes forever to save large files, even longer if I'm rendering.
