Vermicularia knorrii (Deshayes, 1843)
V. knorrii is distinguished from the other Florida Vermicularia in having the early “turritella” pure-white, often with tan dots on the distinct spiral keels. Later whorls become brown and may display about three not particularly pronounced spiral ridges and many shallow spiral grooves. See Jaxshells for more images. Sebastian Inlet, Brevard County, Florida. 14.6 mm ------- |
