From Grand Cayman, less than 1/2-inch. I think it's Diodora dysoni. Is it? [Photo: Everett Turner]

It's juvenile, but to me the radial and concentric sculpture better fits Diodora listeri.

I believe that I agree with Marlo on this one. The sculpture of Diodora dysoni is supposed to look rather like D. cayennensis and not really like D. listeri, which is what this one looks like.

D. cayennensis does not have a dark ring around the orifice whereas D. listeri seems to always have that feature.

Often mistakes are made with "dysoni". The wrong shells are often illustrated, including on gastropods.com. It's all very confusing. I personally am not sure I have ever collected real "dysoni", therefore I am not too confident myself that I can recognize it.

I have however found these small D. listeri that have black markings on them.
