![]() Born in the USA in 1930, Dr. Vokes is an American malacologist and paleontologist. She is an authority on the Muricidae and has produced over 150 publications in 35 years. Books by Emily Vokes include: Catalogue of the genus Murex Linné (Mollusca: Gastropoda); Muricinae, Ocerebrinae, 1971 Neogene paleontology in the northern Dominican Republic. 18 The superfamily Volutacea (in part) (Mollusca:Gastropoda), 1998 Neogene paleontology in the northern Dominican Republic. 8, the family Muricidae (Mollusca: Gastropoda) 1989 Cenozoic muricidae of the western Atlantic region. Part X, The subfamily Muricopsinae 1994 Cenozoic Muricidae of the western Atlantic region, part IX - Pterynotus, Poirieria, Aspella, Dermomurex, Calotrophon, Acantholabia, and Attiliosa : additions and corrections Dr. Vokes worked both on her own, and also with her husband Harold Ernest Vokes (1908–1998). |
