Two specimens from St. Vincent, each about a quarter inch long. I'm thinking specimen A is Nassarius albus and specimen B might be Nassarius polygonatus. Comments?

Not sure about N. albus, but could be. Could be any of three since N. albus is so confused in the literature.

The second one is not N. polygonatus. Could be N. antillarum.

Let's see what Harry thinks. He has published on Nassarius.

In future you might turn them over, tap the animal to get it to withdraw, and try to get a shot of the aperture. You're doing some wonderful work and these photos would make wonderful reference material not otherwise available.

After examining the photos, Harry commented:

"This is difficult enough with the shells in hand. As you suggest, species A is up in the air ID-wise. Species B is probably N. antillarum."

Thank you, both.
