Having recently collected specimens in Miami, they could easily be either of these species. In fact, many of the images I've seen of C. marginella have the exact banding evident on the C. rostratus in these pictures.
Is the marginella shoulder not a sharply carinate as the rostratus?
Hmmmmm.........

There are two species presented here.
The one I'd labeled C. marginella is an introduction to the Miami area and it's common along the coast in the old Brickell area to Coconut Grove.
The other that I called C. rostratus has been found in the Homestead area.
What can't be seen in the images is the edge of the shells. The C.m. has a blunt or rounded edge while the C.r. has a very sharp edge. From above, they are very similar. I'm short on reference material so can't be sure the names are up-to-date.
