Sorry that I'm making yet another character. I just couldn't resist. This probably wouldn't be an additional character if I had realized sooner how perfect she was for this school.

PersonalityGeneral Personality: Jeni is a very innocent person. She's very naive, and takes eveything in as good a light as possible (for example, she doesn't get sarcasm). She gets freaked out easily, and when shedoes, she cleans like mad (which she partly is). She's usually happy, but occasionally she goes into states of depression or freak emotion- she cooks or cleans to hide these.
Strengths: It's hard for Jeni to see the bad in someone. She has a natural love for most people, and will accept almost anyone as a friend. Also, all that cooking and cleaning really helps out sometimes...XP
Hang ups: It's hard for Jeni to see the bad in someone. No matter how mean they are to her, she will still be kind to them and accept them. Since she's so naive and innocent, it's easy to trample all over her, and her porcelain heart is easily broken, though she pretends it isn't.

Ok, so it all started WAAYYYY long ago when the Seven Spirits of the Elements (light, dark, water, air, fire, earth, and seed) lived on Lanoa, the original world. The planet was pure and free of wars. However, a great war broke out, and the only way for the spirits to stay alive and keep order in the universe was for them to find another planet. They had just enough time to create another one, but this planet wasn't nearly as pure as the last, and it soon became on the verge of destruction as well.
Someone began trapping the Seven Spirits of the Elements, causing utter chaos in the world- the elements weren't balanced, so things began to collapse. The six female spirits blamed the one male spirit, the spirit of darkness (Munako). The spirit of the air caught wind of this (no pun intended) and found the spirit of light (Aanaka) as quickly as possible, sending her away before she could get captured...that way, there would at least be balance between light and dark, and somehow in the future she could free the other spirits.
Aanaka hid in a field of light far from where the other spirits were, surrounding herself with her element so she would easily be able to detect the intrusion of Munako. While in the field, she found an odd piece of reflective glass- tripped into it, actually, and was transported into another world.
Here's a somewhat sketchy part...
Aanaka, in the new world, was taken down from her near-goddess status and instead became a poor young woman wandering the land. She soon found she could not use her powers in this world. She figured that that was better for her anyways, as she would be able to hide from Munako if he was following her. She wandered across the land until she came across a man who took her in as his servant. He quickly fell in love with her, and had his way with her.
Little did Aanaka know, there was another woman who was in love with this man. This woman became very jealous, and decided to use some of the magic of her tribe to punish Aanaka. One day, Aanaka came across a woman who offered her powerful magical abilities and immortality. Being foolish and not asking for the price, Aanaka accepted.
The magic was unlimited if she took the time to learn it, but the price was great. They included the following:
-She may only have one child, a girl
-She may never marry an Asian man (don't ask why, but the man was Asian)
-She may not die- she must live forever and ever, roaming the earth until her body comes so decrepid that she hides herself in shame
-The key to her magic power is a wish, but she must always find the worst possible way to grant the wish (i.e. 'I wish everyone loved me', and everyone loves you in a very violent way)
-The curse will be passed down on to her children
And so, when Aanaka gave birth to the man's child, it was a girl, and her daughter had every single sign of the curse.
Jeni's mother is one of the descendants of the curse. That is how Jeni's story begins.
Emiko's parents met in the U.S. in their early 20's, and of course, their only offspring was Emiko. She had a simple job and lived in an appartment complex when she met Thomas Weeler, who she later fell in love with and married. She got pregnant, and was expecting to have one daughter, like the rest of her family line. However, due to the genes of Tom's side of the family, she was destined to have twins- that really didn't mix well with the curse. Instead, the two souls were crammed into one body. And so, the product was Jeni, who had Monica inside her- Jeni was the predominant soul of the body, but Monica occasionally 'came out'.
Some gore here...
When Tom found out about the curse (Jeni was 3), he went bezerk. He immediately divorced Emiko, and not too long later, he remarried. However, he still wasn't done. When Jeni was about 6, Emiko was out somewhere and her babysitter was asleep. He was far past sanity that night. He opened the door using the key that he knew was under the doormat and, boring a knife, snuck up to Jeni's room. He raised it high and was about to bring it down on Jeni when Monica came out. She leapt at him with suprising strength for a six-year-old, and managed to wrangle the knife from him, where she proceeded to stab him through the stomach.
The babysitter had awoken with a start when she heard a struggle upstairs. She immediately called the police, and when she arrived in the bedroom, Tom was near death, and Jeni was standing over him, covered in his blood. The babysitter was very freaked out at this point, and not thinking clearly, pulled the knife out of him. As she tried to do something to help him, the police arrived, and arrested the babysitter for Tom's murder. She had smudged off Monica's fingerprints when she had taken the knife, and they didn't suspect a six-year-old either way. They called an ambulance for Tom, but it was too late- he was dead.
That was when Jeni first realized that Monica was more than just a voice in her head, but a whole other soul inside of her body and her sister. Once she realized Monica was there, she began treating her as her sister.
Monica was always very protective of Jeni. Once she realized she was able to take charge of the body, she began coming out once any bullies gave Jeni a problem. Obviously, this didn't last very long.
Jeni soon became a social outcast. She was nice to everyone, but they were so scared of her (due to Monica) and thought that she was such a freak that they began to shun her. And so, when Emiko discovered Chikabi, she thought it would be the perfect escape for Jeni.

PersonalityGeneral Personality: Monica is almost like Jeni's dark side- almost. Not quite. She is tough, mean, and trusts no one (except Jeni). However, she does have a soft side- but that soft side is extremely hard for anyone but Jeni to access. Once you break her cold metal exterior you will see a soft and frail little girl who is just screaming to be noticed, to be recognized.
Strengths: She will never stop fighting for those she cares about and what she believes in. This usually involves Jeni and her beliefs.
Hang ups: Her strength, other than when fighting for her sister, is mostly just a front for the frail little girl inside her. All she really wants is a friend, but she's so cold that no one can ever see that, and she can never get one.
How Your Character Reacts with Others: She usually doesn't interact with people unless they're being really mean to Jeni- then she forces her way into dominance of the body and beats the crap out of them. Occasionally Jeni will force her out to 'get some fresh air', but she usually will be completely antisocial at these times- unless Jeni forces her not to be. Then she is forced to at least pretend to be polite- something she has very little practice with.

The secret of the super-early history involving the spirits (sketchiness warning):
Munako was not trapping the spirits. It was Aanaka and Munako's child, who had been raised by and fell in love with the spirit of water, Lenaka. Aanaka and Munako forced them to be apart, which drove the boy insane. He was very powerful since he was raised with water magic and had both light and dark magic born into him, which is how he invested Lanoa, followed the spirits to the second world, and began to trap them all.
Ok, enough of that. On to Monica's history.
Monica was never really acknowledged by anyone but Jeni. She couldn't blame Jeni for not telling anyone about her, because she was already enough of an outcast, but Emiko did not acknowledge her so much as her daughter as she did Jeni, so she quickly became bitter- and very protective of Jeni.

Speaking Mannerisms: She tends to call people little kid names, because that's all she was exposed to...though mostly she talks through her fists.
PowersControl: It depends on which power you're speaking of. Jeni is the one who mastered the divination-type abilities, and so she has the strongest control over those- Monica has these abilities, but it's really hard for her to use them. It's just the opposite for freezing and controling people's bodies- that's Monica's strength, and Monica can hardly do those. Jeni's better at her strongpoint than Monica is, as she has had far more opportunity to practice. Both of them share equal control of dominance of the body and control of the subconcience, though depending on the moods of each of them, there is usually one at any given time who can control these things better than the other. Both are forced to grant wishes they hear in the worst possible way as a part of the curse, and neither can control this. All control (except for the subconcience and dominance things) can be improved with practice, if they take the time.
Abilities: Jeni's strongpoint in the magic is divination-type things- she can do palm-reading, tea-leaf reading, dream-reading, tarot cards, and all that sort of stuff in the most accurate way possible. Monica's strongpoint is control of other people- she can freeze people and do something called 'marionette magic', where she controls people like a puppet on strings. Both can force their way in and out of the place as the dominant soul of the body, or the one who's 'out'- Jeni is usually 'out' though. Both can control the one who is 'out' by way of the subconcience. If they actually took the time, either one of them could learn more powers using their unlimited magic, but they usually are much too busy in something or other for that.
