Basic Stats Full Name: Timothy Andrew Brown Nicknames: Tim (what he prefers and introduces himself as), Timmy (which is replied to with a death threat) Age: 15 Year: 2nd Birthday: October 25th, 1991
Physical Stats Hair Color/Styles: darkl brown, not too long, but on the verge of falling into his eyes. Eye Color/Shape: bright, ice blue and round. What he considers one of his best assets Height/Weight: 5'6"/110 lbs. Physical Fitness: Tim's isn't in particularly good shape lately, he's found himself losing a lot of weight. Tattoo/Piercing: a series of random numbers (which Tim doesn't know the meaning of) on his left wrist Scars: An 'X' over wear his heart is Clothing Style: older hoodies and t-shirts, worn-out, faded jeans, and falling apart running shoes. He's low on funds. Other: his nose is slightly crooked. It's been broken twice. And his veins are silver, not blue. And he bleeds silver and a sort of greenish color.
Personality General Personality: Tim is a generally smart kid, with a lot of opinions on what he thinks, but cannot prove, about the world. He figures that, similiar to karma, for everything terrible that ever happened to anyone, something equally good will happen. He also says that he would never change the past because everything that has ever happened to him has effected him and made him who he is. Which, even after all that has happened to him, he still believes. He usually holds his grudges, regardless of anything, but he'll put up with a lot. He prefers to take everything with nonchalance, just for show. Strengths: Tim can lie without even giving it a second thought. He's very good at keeping secrets and persuading people because of this. He knows where he doesn't belong and doesn't stray out of it often. He's pretty happy with himself, and doesn't press himself too far. But he is bold enough with what he decides to say. Hang ups: While Tim's ability to lie is sometimes considered a strength, he can get carried away and will lie just for the sake of it, especially to people he's unlikely to meet again. And he can be a little too straightforward and has a history of mouthing off to people it would be better to avoid. That's how he broke his nose the first time. When he starts thinking too much and considering things, he has a habit of tuning everything else out and complicating things in his head. And he gets headaches much to easily for his liking. How Your Character Reacts with Others: If you can stand the constant bite of sarcasm and approach him, he's fine without. But Tim doesn't usually approach anyone unless it's for a good reason. Other than a few quirks, Tim's easy to talk to, especially when there are common interests. But he's a little jumpy as of late.
Family Family Pets: none. Family Members: Tay Emilia Brown [1973-2007, 34]: Tim's single mother, deceased. Stephen John Olbeltari [38]: Tim's father who, for the last 14 years, wasn't even aware of Tim's existance (see History). Steve owns a hardware store in Calgary. (He got a divofce from his wife, because the only real reason he married her was because it was his kid she was carrying.) Vivian Lola Olbeltari [15]: Tim's perfectionistic half-sister, who's only about two months older than he is.
History Blood Lines: English and Norweigen History: When referring to powers, Tim was born perfectly normal. But he was a mistake. His mother had a bit to much to drink at a wedding and ended up with the groom at a wedding (they had dated in school and the only reason Steve was getting married was because he had gotten his bride pregnant two months before). Tay never bothered to say a word to Steven Olbeltari, and Tim had never thought about it. He figured if Tay didn't want to say anything, maybe she and Tim were better off without him.
Tim grew up in Cochrane, Alberta with his single mother on the edge of town. Tay, being a young mother, hadn't had time to work up a very good resume and dended up cleaning rooms at a local hotel. There wasn't a lot of money around to spend. Tim spent a lot of time at his neighbors before he was old enough to go to school while his mother worked. That's where she learned to gamble, but he hadn't spent very much time with anyone his own age and was considered an outcast when he did go to school.
Though he was smart, he hadn't really learned to be polite. Teachers complained about his attitude of school and that he mouthed off and that he'd taught some other kids how to play black jack and they'd lost all their lunches to him as bets. Tay, exasperated, had him switch schools, even though it was on the other side of the city.
The teachers at his new school were more well equipped to handle Tim's behavior. A lot of the neighborhoods in the area were more low budget and Tim managed to make a few friends, all from the same neighborhood. Their houses became his new second homes. And when he got into junior high, his mother switched to working at the bar at her hotel, with more evening hours.
One night, he went to see his mother at the hotel, to pick her up from work. He doesn't really remember that night at all. A man, who Tim only ever remembers in nightmares, suddenly seized Tay and threatened to slit her throat. Tim automatically reacted and ended up with a knife in his chest, twice actually, to create an X shape, then the man slit his mother's throat, but Tim had already blacked out.
He woke up in a hospital room. A doctor told him, by medical definition, he'd died for twenty minutes, but his heart had managed to be restarted. The doctor told him that they pumped his heart full of a chemical they didn't have complete understanding of, because he'd lost too much blood. His arteries, capillaries, and veins had to be re-enforced with some kind of liquid metal alloy that is equally not understood against the new chemicals And one of the other doctors had done a few other tests and discovered two different sets of DNA (a chimera, having had a fraternal twin, but having absorbed it before birth). Of course, Tim really didn't care. He knew his mother was dead and that was about the only thing he could grasp at that point.
He hadn't even had everthing completely explained to him before he chose to sneak out of the hospital. He took a bus, intending to find somewhere to stay there, at least for his mother's funeral. Since his house was locked and he'd lost his key to the hospital (and he didn't really want to actualy stay in his house anyway) so he ended staying in a holiday trailer (and moved it to his friend's backyard. The only friend he trusted with what he was up to). He stayed only a week after the funeral. His head was killing him, everything seemed overly in focus. It was obvious, he couldn't just rely on other poeple to look after him. His grandparents were in a retirement home in Nevada. His dad was in Calgary, and he needed some sort of stable place to live.
He took a bus and confronted his father, who immediately agreed that he needed to take responsibility, but took Tim back to the hospital. Even before he was told what was happening, he'd figured it out.
His senses were heightened. Everything seemed much more in focus. It drove him crazy at first. His various body systems seemed much more efficient, he didn't need as much sleep, of food, et cetera. But the pressure of that on top of his own losses. He could feel the pain of the other people in the hospital and it drove the doctors insane not knowing what was wrong with him, but they finally sent him to his dad's house.
He hasn't managed to get used to his powers, or his new found family yet, but is attempting to. He's supposed to simply say that his mother died in a bar fight, and that he got his scar in a car accident with his sister, Vivian in Calgary. And the hospital completely denies doing anything other thing with him, and has insisted to provide the blood (they saved some) if he ever needed to provide a blood sample or test.
Other Preferences: Tim prefers cards over all other varieties of gambling. He almost always has a deck on him. He likes to sleep in, but has barely been able to sleep at all lately. He can adapt easily between loning it and being part of a group, but he needs to be alone at least a little bit. His favorite subject is English, he's considering becoming a journalist. His favorite season is Autumn, and he prefers the evening over any other time of day. Hobbies: Tim plays poker religiously and is quite fond of any other kind of gambling you could think of (snooker, black jack, horse races, sports, etc). He likes to hang out with friends, who keep him from falling too far into thought. He's recently taken up bass guitar because he felt he really needed something to do all the time. Speaking Mannerisms: Nothing besides being an overly sarcastic person.
Powers Control: Only some. He's not even sure if he knows of all his powers yet Abilities: extremely heightened senses, empathy, and telekinesis (that he doesn't know he has) and also can't feel pain, and his chemical/blood hybrid is toxic and acidic.
