If Fallout 3 and COD had a sweaty weekend in Tijuana, nine months later you'd have this game. It's awesome. Get it.

im not sure if i am convinced on this game yet. It really hasnt impressed me enough to pick it up out of all the games that are coming out soon. it seems like its just alot of the same thing. i am interested in the millions of guns though

i might have to wait untill christmas, but by then im afraid you guys wont be playing anymore and it wont be worth it.

In "my" game I use the Soldier, when I'm playing co-op with the wifey I use the Berserker

If you liked Fallout 3 you'll like this (no VATS though). I've heard comparisons to Halo as well. In the end, it's just a shooter - but it's got a lot more depth than any other shooter. The world is huge and interesting like an RPG, which I'll take any day over the close confines of games like COD. Of course I'm a little biased because I hate COD - all COD - with the burning fire of a thousand suns.

Thought you used to play that like crazy? What started your change of heart?

Haven't played it at all in over a year. Heather plays it. It's not so much the game itself as the ten million assholes that either take it way too seriously or think it's just awesome to sit in one of its thousands of glitches killing you as you spawn in. The single player is okay, maybe a little too linear. I'll never play it online again, nor will I pay money for another of its lame annual re-hashes (remember World at War when it was called COD3?). As online shooters go, Battlefield 1943 is far better - a little simpler maybe, but at least it's glitch-free. And Borderlands beats them both by allowing online play to smoothly blend with your single player game. The only other game I've seen that does that is Burnout Paradise.

My copy of Borderlands just shipped today so I should have in the beginning of next week. As for other online shooters, I'm kind of looking forward to Battlefield bad company 2. Also, as a side note, online co-op of Uncharted 2 is amazing, just broke into tonight.

Babe we are getting MW2! As for Borderlands totally worth the money. Iowa - If u want to play let me know and I`ll help u ¨rank¨ up. You will have to invite me as I`m quite fr into it and it would mess up your gameplay. The lower ranked people can join higher ranks but the enemeies are whatever the higher level person is. So hit me up as Half~Bake and we`ll play. I don`t mind redoing stuff. It`s fun!
