so i've gotten together with some guys and i am now officially part of a woodsball team

we'll be there 9 strong on Saturday and if Bolp is around then def come on out ...

we're also going to be hustling up some SPPL action (Scenario Paintball Players League) this season.

goal #1 is to get an SPPL exhibition game setup this year and promote the hell out of it for a good turnout ... if that goes well then next season expect an SPPL Qualifer here in New England where the winner gets to compete at the national event.

for more info on hte SPPL visit http://www.scenariochallenge.com/

(i would have asked BOLP to be part of our overall team but my view was that you guys are so awesome as you are, i'd rather see 10 of you as a separate team to increase the overall participation and level of competition)

Where are you coordinating SPPL?

I have initialized communications with Field51 in regards to that same topic....SPPL in NE!!!!!

You don't even know how psyched I am about SPPL!

What a coinkidink!!!

Guess uber1337 woodsballers just think alike!

where is Field51 ??

to be honest the field is completely up in the air right now - personally i'd like to give OSG first crack at it - but if they don't jump all over then we're not going to waste any time getting another field to jump in head first

Realistically a NE qualifier isn't feasible this year ... but an exhibition is completely doable

Exhibition format we had in mind would be 2 regulation SPPL fields - regulation SPPL rules ... game length 40min instead of 60min (to promote more games)

walk ons welcome ... teams of less than 10 can recruit walk ons to complete a team of 10 on the day of ... if there are 10 overflow walk ons they can be a team for the day

and depending on field size and geography, if there is a 3rd field being unused then the teams that aren't currently on the 2 SPPL fields can play pickup games on the overflow field to keep everyone entertained

the 2 biggest benefits will be #1 hopefully create tons of interest at the player level so when the actual qualifier rolls around it's huge and #2 get a field and field staff up to par on how to logistically run and ref an event like this

Field 51 is located in Gorham, Maine about an hour away from BOLP; I found them through the SpecOps Brigade game finder. They are strictly a woodsball/scenario field and they are currently gauging the level of interest from teams for SPPL in New England.

I have already emailed and BOLP is the third team to show interest in SPPL. You guys should definitely get in touch with them too and we can get this thing off the ground.

For more information including contact info please visit:

BTW, Factorm SPPL requires a 10-man team and you only have 9 members.....***wink wink nudge nudge*** wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif

we have a core 9 and 4 others that can fill the 10 spot ... just no one has stepped up to the commitment

As it turns out, Field 51 has not shut down. It's sort of a combination of never officially opened up but refused to die. Recently the web site, http://www.field51.com/, has been detailing the work the owner is doing with the town to get final clearance to open.

I have played at this field once and would have played more if my health had not sidelined me. I really like playing at this field. The owner is very attentive to the on-field conduct of the games. More so than OSG or Friendly Fire or even Fox 4. It makes a difference. If you are interested, you can check out my (Scipio's) review on PBreview.com.
